Gallery of log for A Comfortable Landing
Hi Swampy
What a great place for a cache!!
Waterfalls are one of my passions and this one did not disappoint. Picturesque to say the least.
I first printed this cache of back on the 6th August 2009 and fully intended to do it then. Got to the car park once before but it was too late in the afternoon that time. On another occasion, it started p-- down with rain so that aborted that attempt. After finding the cache today, I'm glad I didn't make the effort then. Got to the car park today and one car already there.
Down the track and thinking I've got to climb back out of here - I am getting older!!
Arrived at the falls and low and behold, two muggles sitting on a big rock drinking champaigne celebrating a 60th birthday! We chatted for a while and they got a short explanation about caching. They continued their celebrations and I looked for "AW". Okay, up there ay!! Scramble on, goat climbing again and voila a cache without a container. Alls good with the cache! I signed in red!!
Back down the goat's trek and onto flatter terrain. Signed the log at 1422hrs.
Absolutely loved this cache. On the way out, I passed a family of five going in for dinner and a party of two going the same way. Caught up to celebrants and ribbed him a bit about being a Collingwood supporter!
Headed back to Huonville from here.
A great cache - thanks for taking me here for the first time - Cheers;
OldSaint.
