Gallery of log for B&S Ute

26-Aug-12
We were driving past the vets in Ulverstone when we saw it - a real B&S Ute with a big difference. The cab was green but the dominant colour was pink! Pink spot lights (x4) on the roof, pink text on the R M Williams mudflaps, pink horse shoes along both sides of the tray, the R M Williams logo in pink over the back windscreen, a green equipment box on the back with “Aussie Pride” in large pink letters and a dominant pink number plate style sign which says “Her Ute, Not His”. There was the obligatory bull-bar, but this was in a sedate black. Attached to the bull-bar was a single but very large aerial. The dash board was fully covered by small stuffed animals, mainly dogs, and large fluffy dice hung from the rear vision mirror. Some of the statements on various parts of the ute emphasised the owners apparent belief in the Helen Reddy song “I am woman, hear me roar . . .” Actually the owner of the ute is a former student of one of the 2y’stassies and, even in Years 11 and 12, this outgoing and vivacious young woman never took a back seat to any male and took very definite action if they tried to do so. The photo added to the gallery is a composite of three views of this unique B&S Ute.
