Gallery of log for Carcuma Homestead Area
One of the more entertaining trig point chases I have done
The cache is clearly visible from the nearby road, but the thought of actually getting to it a bit daunting
Fear not !!
There is an ... er ... 'easy' way up
Once at the top the view is a full on 360 panorama of wheat fields and remnant patches of mallee and old sand dunes
And of course there is the Trig Point !!
One of the best preserved ones out there
A classic, metal tripod structre, supports a black painted, perforated circular target
The big reward after the effort of getting here is the view !!
And as a bonus ... the journey back down the hill.
I bet you cannot resist running back down, or rolling (if you choose the steeper, direct, option)
