Logs for 2lablovers 

We have talked about coming to this cache for years but had never made it. There is just a few months of the year it is easily accessible and the time always flew by. We talked about it again a couple weeks ago and decided we could not let another year go by. Planned our trip and left Denver Monday morning. Spent the night in Green River and this morning headed here. Parked in space 19 and started our way up - bushwhacking until we were about 500 feet from the cache and then we found the trail !! Such excitement when we found the cache after a few minutes searching. Enjoyed looking thru all the logs, signing our name and of course taking some pictures. We took the path down and stopped at the other two caches along the way. When we got back to site 19 we were surprised to see another car there. It was the Bruhns from California - they will be grabbing Potters Pond in the morning. Good to meet you. FAVORITE POINT.

Continuing caching along Route 66 from yesterday. Flew from Denver to Vegas Tuesday morning, and cached and then spent the night in Needles. Now we are back out here, thankfully it is somewhat cooler than yesterday. Enjoyed finding the caches and thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining them.

Our last cache of the day ! 

So excited to log a find on this cache. We tried back in May 2013 and could not find it. This was THE cache we had to get on this trip here. We left Charlottesville this morning and added over 100 miles to our trip home to get this cache. As we were driving here someone posted they had found it this morning. Now we knew we would find it for sure. When we got there had a brief moment of panic because we weren't finding it and just like before the GPS was bouncing all over. But we were determined and found it at 12:30 pm. We replaced the torn baggie and took the pathtag. 

Rocky mountain wildlife refuge has been on our must do list for a long time. Today was the day - unfortunately we did not take into consideration the temperature . Got up into low 80s and there is no shade out there. But we did it !! Most of the caches were in great shape - amazing with the recent weather. And best of all, no DNFs. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches.

Finished the trail and dashed over to Sonic, making it with seconds to spare for Happy Hour. Then we got this cache - our final of the day. 

Caching our way to Spider Girly goes to Ireland. Lots of muggles, forcing us to skip some of the caches on our list. And the weather was crazy, hot and sunny when we started, then suddenly overcast and strong winds with some rain drops. Happily it was quickly over.

Had some navigating problems and went on the other side of the freeway. Quickly saw our error and backtracked. Thanks for the cache poolsharkycat. 

So excited to be going for such an old cache but unfortunately we did not find it. Got very close parking (and did not have to pay to enter the park) . Once we got to the general area it was very difficult to get an accurate GPS reading. Looked in a very broad area and moved lots of leaves and logs. As we were searching some previous cachers were driving by and of course knew exactly what we were doing. They stopped and joined in to search although they had found it before it got moved. We are now in Charlottesville for the next week. Hopefully we will have time to search again on our way to the airport next week or else it will have to wait until our next trip here.

Cache is in good condition. I am old enough that i did have a sewing machine but seldom used it and got rid of it about 30 years ago. 

Had to pass this one up - two guys were sitting in their truck eating lunch right at GZ. Next time !!

Lid was broken and log wet. Dried out log, placed in baggie and put in new container (approx same size as old container - small pill bottle). Thanks for the cache Raddad.
