Logs for Babberly

Took a little searching but found it finally. Found in good condition. Thanks for the cache!

I was driving from Chicago to Phoenix and decided to visit a few older caches, and pick up what else I could along the way. Potter's Pond would fill a hole in my Jasmer Grid, so I decided to make the drive in and find this cache.

The way in proved to be lengthy but not difficult, and while the road was rough and involved an awful lot of gravel, I had a trail-suitable SUV which had no trouble with the terrain. The trip out proved to be much more straighforward and I was kind of left wondering what google maps had been thinking when it plotted he roundabout way in that I took.

Once on site I elected to take a fairly straightforward and singleminded route to the cache, and reviewing my trail I saw that I had walked almost directly over one cache on my way in. I also made negotiating the river a lot harder than it had to be. On the way out, I found a much more negotiable path that led me past two other caches where I took the time and signed the logs.

I was on my way from Chicago to Phoenix and that I’d grab some of the older caches along the way... this one’s been around a while, right? Found in good condition. Thanks for the cache!

I came by here for a tour of seven caches, and was glad to find them all. I thought about driving back further here (I did get the permit), looked at the roads and decided they were borderline for my vehicle. This and the increasing rate of random gunfire that I was hearing from all directions throughout the day prevented me from venturing further in for more.

My first destination cache for the day, glad to find this oldie but goodie, and still in an ammo can no less. Small-arms fire to the west still going strong, with a few large-caliber rifle rounds heard to the east and south. Onwards!
