What a day! I met up with gearguru in St George, and we headed out for a day of fun, with this being the primary target on the list!
Quite the adventure! On our way up, we fought through a herd of sheep.....well maybe didn’t fight, but were guided by the ranchers on horseback and the dog herding them away from the car. Definitely a first! I have been stopped by cows, but not sheep!
Got up to the area and parked and off we go, met some cachers coming back from the hide who confirmed we were on the right route. I didn’t opt for the tree across the water, and just waded through, figured it was warm enough that my shoes would dry quickly. Down the meadow path and then up. And up. And over deadfall, and under one. And up. More deadfall. gearguru waited patiently for me to catch up....he didn’t have to, but glad he did. ??. Finally got to GZ and made the grab with high fives around! This has been on my bucket list for a while, now to figure out what I am missing for Jasper number two. After signing and replacing, we worked our way back down and stopped for the letterbox hide, before wading back through the stream and to the car. Definitely a highlight of the day, and so glad this old one is still out there!
Thanks for your contribution to the gameboard and geocaching history!

Mission objective: Jasmer. Mission: Complete! Driver over from Rome this morning and met up with gearguru. He and the Princess waited at the cars (they had already done this) whilst Lookout Lisa and kidvegas19 and myself walked out to the cache. Nice walk and a quick find. Thanks for keeping this oldie alive!
Gearguru, Princess Trouble, dsvaughn, Lookout Lisa, kidvegas19 and myself on a mission today to get two of the older caches on Lake Lanier. Rented a boat and off we go. Landed and hiked up to GZ. Thanks for keeping this going!

Had this down to get since I would be in the area for the day, and who doesn't want to find hides from 2000? Thanks for keeping this going! Quick walk out, and even though the park was busy, had the place to myself in this area. Everything was in great shape.
In town all of last week for a training in Leesburg, VA. Took advantage and stayed a bit longer to explore the D.C. and surrounding area. Thanks for adding to the day!

Flew into Sacramento for a work meeting tomorrow. Took advantage and came in really early to do some targeted caching. This was top on my list. Great drive out here, saw lots of birds. Cache was a fairly quick fine. Stamped with my #TeamSquirrel stamp. Thanks for keeping this going!

#TeamSquirrel on the trails today, along with a large group from Caching in the NW podcast. This was our main goal for the day. After stopping and exploring part of the townsite, sproutter and I stopped at a picnic table for some snacks and hydration.....we were waiting for the rest of the group, but he knew I was antsy to find this, so we headed over. Searched a lot of stumps....became intimate with some. ?? Pulled up some logs that I had saved offline, and decided while we were at the posted coordinates, the cache was back up a bit. Went over to another, and yeah! Sproutter grabbed the prize! Was about 50 ft off, no need to go down as far as we did. Signed and dropped an unactivated #TeamSquirrel coin and got it re-hidden as we heard our group coming up the path. Thanks for the history and fun! Favorite.
