This in the Millenium Flame in Birmingham, England. It was lit by Sir Cliff Richard to mark the year 2000.
It's been going ever since. Photos were taken today Christmas Eve after a carol concert. The first is a bit blurry, but I am holding my GPS.

This rocket (Thor PGM 17) is in the UK’s National Space Centre in Leicester. The co-ordinates were taken on the forth floor inside the building as near as possible to the rockets.
Thor Able Rockets launched several satellites between 1959 and 1960. The best known is TIROS-1 the world first weather satellite.
Thor rockets were used until 1980, teamed with other upper stages and boosters.
Thor was the ancestor of modern Delta rockets.

The Delph Locks.
The name Delph derives from the word 'Black Delve', a reference to the early coal mining, which was part of the heavy industry, which dominated this area in the 18th and 19th centuries. It was in 1845 when the Birmingham Canal Navigation's Company took over the running of the Dudley canal and by 1910 they had constructed the stable block which housed up to fourteen horses and also contained a sick bay and forge for the re shoeing of the horses.
There were originaly 9 locks, but now only 8 remain. The ninth lock is a nearby real ale pub.
There is a Geocache close by called The Whole Nine Locks by HooloovooUK (GCQG7C)
