Finally got out to this one. Drive past several times a week but as my handle suggests I like to ride the MTB (mountain bike) to caches.
Thanks for the cache Cirly10.

I had been planning to try and find this cache for a while as it is so near to town and potentially a good mountain bike ride.
Now having found it I can't believe how close I have previously passed to the cairn on my bike without knowing it was there.
Took nothing, left nothing, fed the mosquitos. Thanks for another fun cache, the view back towards Taree and over the Lansdown Escarpment is well worth a look.

Well that was an adventure, the 22.95km of riding took 1h25m (we were cruising) but the whole trip took 5h13m.
Most of that time was spent trying to find a way up Goonook. I didn't realise we were literally going rock climbing.
A well stocked cache up there with all sorts of things from screwdrivers to colouring in books for the kids. Although if your kids manage to find their way to the top I suggest you enter them in Sydney Royal Easter Show as Mountain Goats.
Thanks Cookie.

Be careful if you look under the hubcap as it is home to wasps!
I was pleased the cache wasn't 6 feet under.
