I've rewritten the final coords hidden at WP1 and also placed a small pill container with the coords, in case the 'rock' cannot be read or goes AWOL

Sorry, but I don't know where the cache was re-hidden or if it still exists, as it was replaced by another cacher in 2017. With no find in almost 2 years I think it best to stop wasting people's time and call it quits.

After a very long hiatus from caching I thought I might look for a couple of hides close to home, while waiting for my new spanish cache to be published.
Nice one but had to be quick while under attack by a mozzie squadron.
Cheers!

Despite being very familiar with these tracks, I was surprised to come across a set of steps leading down to the shore, just along from the said tree, and surprised again by a well concealed seat which was ideal to use when signing the log.
I guess these are relics of a time when Sandy Bay was a more popular destination.
Cheers!

I'm pleased to say Tuolei has replaced the cache, for which I am most appreciative.
Clue has been updated.

I've had an offer from another cacher to replace the cache, which hopefully will be soon.

First cache to find in over a year, couldn't resist doing one after reinstating my Puke22 cache which had been blown across the water during the storm, to be found by a geocacher.
Cheers!

Back again after a little adventure, presumably having been freed from a pretty secure spot by king tide during the big storm, drifting across the estuary and beaching, and to be rescued by a geocacher! Beat that!

cache has been found across the water by a helpful cacher. I just have to pick it up and return it to its hide. Thanks Merlot58!

Checked the cache today, to find it lying fully exposed and the log sheet soaked (in a separate container inside the sistema to try to keep it dry). It seems some cachers can't be bothered to (a) place caches back in the original position and (b) ensure the cache is properly closed after signing. After multiple restorations to the cache, I can't be bothered any more.

It must have been muggled not long after I replaced it. I checked today unsuccessfully - the hiding spot (cavity under a large rock) has been thoroughly excavated, no point in putting another one down for it to suffer the same fate.

A bit of a scramble to wedge myself in position to access a dangling cache. Log book a bit damp but managed to gouge my mark and replace the cache in a better position. Cheers!
A damp day but still enjoyable. Access to cache was good - found it swinging in the breeze. Wedged it back where I thought it belongs. Cheers!
I could see this from beach level, but accessing it up a damp bank took a calculated move in bare feet, to just make it and back without mishap. Cheers!

Started by bike from the far end of Exhibition Drive, but before half way the rain arrived. Lucky to have a poncho in the pack which kept me fairly dry for the rest of the way. Found and signed the log (about time to replace) when the rain eased off, but not the thunder - cool. Cheers!

Sorry to disappoint fooks, I thought interest in it had disappeared and wasn't sure of cache condition, but it seems even an archived cache can be logged for a find.
I'd reactivate it if I knew how (and wasn't too much trouble), but don't know if that's even possible without ascertaining its current condition, which I'm not able to do.

Needed a walk and this cache was close to home so started from the Te Ara o Tiriwa track down to the little known and ill-named Sandy Bay before heading around to the cache site. Nicely done hide! Then headed towards Lewis St before spotting an access point back up to the track system I'm familiar with. After a long caching break I enjoyed this, tempted to find more in the series on better days. Cheers!
