We'd been wanted to tackle this trail or at least get started on it for far too long. With an FTF opportunity at the end it gave us the motivation to finally get our lazy butts out here. It was a windy, albeit sunny, day so I think because of that we only saw one other person out enjoying the beautiful desert. The only animals we saw were the cattle and a few birds here and there. Not seeing any snakes was fine by me! We only grabbed a handful of caches but really enjoyed the variety of sizes and hide styles as well as good coords. Hopefully we can get out and finish the remainder of the trail before too long. THANX ladies!

Very cool rock formations right here. Thanks for dragging us all the way out here to check it out. THANX!

In the area after an FTF possibility and needed to grab a few more to fill up our day. As noted in a previous log is does appear that something has taken up residence here. Had to knock off a couple pieces of scat to get to the container and there was a small wet spot right near that. Looks like everyone has absconded with the bracelets and left this one pretty empty. Still a cool area that we certainly will need to hit with a return trip to the power trail very soon. THANX Peggy!

Really cool area here. We were in town taking in the scenes and ended up with a geocoin yesterday. We really don't usually pick up trackables so we were feeling the pressure to move it along before we misplaced it. How could you ever find a better place than this?! Hopefully someone can pick up this coin and move it to a mountain peak where it longs to be soon. THANX!

This is exactly what caching is supposed to be about, in my opinion. This is a neat piece of art you would never get to enjoy if not for caching. We drove by the area in the car while searching for parking and found out that from that vantage point you would clearly miss out on something special. Thanks for making us slow down and enjoy this hidden beauty.

Played the old, "pull over and check the tire" ploy for this one. Busy ring road today but luckily it was another quick and easy grab. THANX!

I'd been out here before when this one was missing. Nice to come back today and turn that previous frown upside down with a quick easy find. THANX!

FTF!! Woo Hoo. We have been keeping up with our goal to grab at least one cache every day this year. When looking around for somewhere to go today I ran a search for any FTF possibilities and was thrilled to see this one. Richard had called to invite me on this outing but real life got in the way. I'm sorry I missed out on meeting a fellow cacher from down under. What a better way to at least go get a taste of that trip then to try for this hide?
It was just the dog and I today and we made our way out Pyramid Hwy. not sure exactly what we were in for. I parked the grocery getter just North of the cache and we started hoofing it up. Half way there I thought to myself, "well, this is no big deal...". I spoke to soon though as the closer we got to GZ the steeper and more slippery things started to get. I approached the last 20 ft. from the west and decided that looked too hairy. I scrambled around to the east and it wasn't all that much better. There was a six foot rock face between us and an FTF. As I pondered the best way to take the next step the dog leaped past me and stood atop where I wanted to be. She seemed to be looking at me like "what's the problem loser?". Two good foot holds and I was up there with her and soon enough signing the empty log book. Soaked in the small view of the lake from this vantage point just as the snow really started blowing in earnest.
I was surprised to find the FTF prize of TB dog tags and know just what to do with them. There will be a new pirate in our crew soon! Thanks guys for the adventure. Looks like I missed out on a really fun day. Dropped a Geocoin, THANX!

Checking on the cache. It's held up fine through the winter. Bug drop while here.

The kitty and box have been re-located. Sorry for any confusion this may have brought up.
