MaMaAce, Drayman and Wrenbo took a few moments today from visiting with the family to come and find this cache.
A great time was had by all involved and we thank you for a cache placement we could find.

They have the picture on the camera and should be home this evening so I will copy and upload the photo for them.
I was happy to hear about the wonderful time they had however sad that I could not be present. Next time I amm in the area I promise I will also return to this place that I have found to be so enjoyable in the past.

near 7 miles walk fróm the in-laws..
needed to be sure the spine could handle upcoming options..
found containter approx 11:52 pm tonight and I write this as I walk home.
sad to admit I passed it on first glance so my single LED light failed to assist for a good long time however like feeling pain, well I do not give up.
located logsheet .. signed and now walk back to the house..
maybe a bar or two enroute as I brought no pills

This cache has been on our list of 'desired' finds for some time now though we have always been waiting for a special day to make this journey.
I received an invitation to join AzCachemeister and Team Snakebusters because they were going to head out and replace the logbook on this wonderful afternoon so I figured what could be more special then getting to hike with the cache owner to the cache?
As my family was the only part of the group to have not found this one, we were told '[green]Lead the way[/green]'.
Parked at the gate and began the journey (which was a very pleasant walk) to the cache. We had just completed the PM Trail in Usery Mountain park so the children were a bit more worn down then we expected, but they made it all the way with smiles and no complaints.
Hiked in via the road until we cut cross country then returned to the highway via a slightly different route just to mix things up a bit.
This was a very enjoyable end to a wonderful day and we are very happy to have had this great chance. Visiting with the cache owner we reaffirmed our love of geocaching and for getting the children out to some truly wonderful locations.
Thank you Dan for the fun and the chance to meet. We are all looking forward to a chance to go on another adventure with yourself and others in the future.

I have been remiss in not going for this cache before today. With all the Aloha you have shown us and all the history we have learned this trip, I should have come by sooner. I am sure you can forgive us though, we did finally arrive.
Yesterday I was reading an article of Ferd Borsch, he was a sports writer who apparently covered all 2,013 home games at Termite Palace.
He passed away sunday. "He lived and chronicled the Hawaii Islanders for the better part of his 40 years with The Honolulu Advertiser"
This made me think back to all the things that we have noticed changed on the island just since we left in '94.
Change can be good and it can be bad, but never fear it.
You have brought us to a spot that allows us to think back into the past and try to imagine what this world might be like to our great-grandparents. One of the major reasons for this trip was to visit the kids great-grandmother and I have to say I am awed when I think the things this lady has seen in her life.
May all of you have as long and healthy a life. Aloha and Mahalo from the whole fam damily! This cache will likely be one of if not the last cache we locate before heading home.
TheQueenBee, Sillygirl & JRR, Captain.ron, Team GeoBlast, Menehune Man, Etoa and all the rest of you made this the most enjoyable and memorable trip to the islands we have ever known. Thank you for allowing my family to be a part of yours and for being part of mine.
See you on the trails. May your canteens be full and may the sun be always at your back.

I have found many neat items but I have not before today found one that I felt was worthy of this cache.
Today while hiking to Snow-Lighting Storm Cache we came across what appears to be the petrified head of a TRex.
Look at the image and judge for yourself, did the TRex rule the mountains of the southwest? One may never know.

I know this is archived and that is why I am writing a note, not a find.
I did however find a tiny gargoyle sitting on a roof in Bisbee Arizona of all places, the kids still had this on the list I gave them a long time ago to search for, so I was asked to post it.
I hope it is ok since we are only doing it as a note.

Drove up to Kitt Peak Arizona today to get some images for the people who requested it.
I am confused though as to which item to upload so I will upload both. The coordinates took me to the McMath-Pierce Solar Telescope which in itself is funny because I have been meaning to visit this for about 7 years. The funny part is, I know Mr. Keith Pierce. I have been to his house many times and he has given my children hours of stories and books. I know his wife very well also as she is a professor that I provide service to at the University of Arizona. This telescope used to have a different name, the McMath telescope. This telescope was renamed in 1962 in honor of Keith Pierce who designed and built it. More information about this telescope can be found at: (visit link)
The Hint leads to believe the image should be of a different telescope that is 0.49 miles away. I am uploading both, and hoping that it will do.
The hint leads us to the "4 meter" telescope which is also named the Nicholas U. Mayall Telescope. This is located at :
N 31 57.841
W 111 36.004
I dont know anything other then what I have read tonight about this one and I welcome anyone to visit the virtual tour at:

Below are the images we took tonight. We also had a chance to rescue a turtle from the road, and we saw white tail deer. This has to have been one of the more eye catching caches we have done in a while. Thanks for bringing it to this location.

As a family we have always agreed that geocaching is fun because we get to see and learn about new things almost every trip/find.. Sure enough, this is something we will now start to read as much as possible about and do all we can to enjoy it.
Now to just get one in our state of Arizona... Oh we can dream can't we?

Recieved the OK to post as of this morning.. I had a wonderful time with this cache. I have to admit, this is the type of puzzle cache to be loved. No higher math, no foriegn languages, no code...
All was going well as I plodded to finish this one off when the nasty desire hit.. (Yes, I needed a smoke).. I step outside and see someone at my neighbors car. The chase is on.. I go running after the perp and the get-away car barefoot down the road. Needless to say I did not catch it. Then we wait an hour for the police.. When I get back I am so excited from the chase that I am unsure where I left off... hehe fun night (not).
Again.. thanks for this wonderful cache.

Very interesting article. I was able to finish this one with very little need for extra water bottels. I am using work's lat long for this since I was sitting at my desk while completing it
