Logs for Team RedWolf

Team RedWolf is back! - nice easy find for our first in several years! TFTC

Team RedWolf is back after several years. This is our second find of a new era. Nice easy one with a bit of exercise, that we need these days. Left a coin. TFTC.

For anyone still wanting to solve this, I just happen to have a copy of the picture Smile

02-Oct-18
Working near YPED I still never knew that YCFG existed. Thanks for the lesson and the cache!

01-Oct-18
Wow, no one’s going to find and retrieve that one by accident with all the nasty sharp things there! A grabbing tool was employed and bodily injury avoided TFTC!

Found after climbing through ridiculous quantities of garbage. Not quite what we expected - good hide! TFTC

Good hide - not quite as expected from the description, but still it was a nice quick find. Glad we got to this one before the mozzies arrive in swarms.

09-Jul-18
Many comments about the coords for this cache. Your mileage may vary, we haven’t had consistent readings on our visits, in fact there has been up to 20m variation. As was recently suggested, Hurtle’s version may well be the most accurate - for now - this place is a bit of a GPS black hole! Anyway, really glad that everyone is still having fun with this one, it’s a lovely place!

11-Feb-18
Long arms were only just long enough! Managed to avoid the cactus forest but the spiky undergrowth wasn’t much fun. TFTC.

Nice hide with a convenient parking spot nearby. Not quite a park and grab, as the trees, undergrowth and inch-long ants required a bit of negotiating - otherwise an easy find. TFTC!

Solved puzzle easily (wow, a puzzle cache that didn’t even require pen and paper!) and found both the original hide under a pile of junk and grass clippings at the exact coordinates, and (presumably) the new hide of two rocks looking a bit out of place a couple of metres away. Unfortunately no cache was found.

Nice hide, and not too difficult a find despite the GPS leading us in an 8m circle around the cache! Comfortable spot provided to sign the log too TNLNSL TFTC!

19-Aug-17
I have had a good look for the elusive creature, and so far he remains un-sighted. I put my hand up where I thought he might be and felt something furry - alas not the were-bunny, but a cluster of furry caterpillars Sad Now have an itchy hand, but at least it wasn't a sleeping possum. Will return with better illumination, but I fear the bunny has fled the lair ... who knows what mayhem he might wreak now!

16-Jul-17
Feel free to use some of the posted corrected coordinates. However, beware, this spot is pretty GPS unfriendly. Moneydork's 'found it' post is the latest example. I would post better coords if I could, but the variation seems to be at least+/- 15m in all directions most of the time!

24-Jun-16
There's a suitable 'tool' for removing the log hanging on the fence about 30cm away Smile

18-Jun-16
Simsy1 sent me a photo, and I confirm the find. I'll try to get to it this weekend and loosen up the container. For future reference please don't do it up tight - it's not necessary

19-Apr-16
Oh well - solved it but that's about as far as it goes. My body isn't up to that sort of terrain any more!
Thanks for the puzzle

Arrrggghhh! No!

18-Jan-16
This cache contained a TB of mine (Element 14 tag) when it was archived. Any idea what became of it?

I was surprised to find there is no cache at N90 00.000, there's one at S90 00.000 Smile

Beautiful day for a drive in the country, and an attack on this series that has taunted us for ages by being almost on our doorstep (at least in country terms!).
Nice easy find.
Container broken, but log OK.

Quite a cunning hide, and a decent sized cache!
These prickle bushes are getting nastier with each successive cache in the series!

Coords were about 12m out on this one (all previous were spot on) but still quite an easy find.

Wow - glad we had a retrieval tool! The usual prickle bush, plus bonus barbed wire and metre-high stinging nettles Smile

Didn't have the recommended protective clothing, but fortunately didn't need it. No pricks were sustained in the retrieval of this cache Smile TFTC Tk2

WTF a wheelchair accessible T4!

21-Jun-15
Now that we have a (not too surprising) FTF, I'm claiming STS (second to solve), unless someone else has already deciphered it!

With this terrain rating there is not going to be a retrieval for the RedWolf contingent.

I have nothing to add about the evilness of this puzzle that hasn't been already stated in the appropriate language. Even with the continual updating of hints this one is well worth all 5 stars of evilness.

TFTP (thanks for the puzzle) Brad&Janet - what can of worms has been opened now ?

Can you please confirm that the exact spelling in clue 2a is correct.
