Brian Cluff and I went out today, (we had excellent weather, overcast, slight rain, nice and cool), and found the cache. The coordinates
were dead on and we had no trouble finding it. We looked around for the extra prize using our trusty compass we brought, but still no luck.
If an eagle scout cant find it, maybe it is hidden dang good or gone. We looked in both directions just to make sure the bearing was not
made incorrectly and we even checked using miles and kilometers in case the scale on the estimate was wrong. The place that it was
supposed to be was right next to a wash and looked like it had a lot of water come though over the banks. We theorized that maybe it had
been washed away, or a coyote or something took a liking to it and carried it off. Maybe Dan can check and see if the bonus prizes is still
there? Maybe we just didnt look long enough. If it is still there we might have to make another trek out there. We took the T-shirt, thanks
Nick, maybe we will run into you at a P.L.U.G. linux user group meeting. We left a cat in the cache... a Cue Cat... barcode reader.. their
pretty cool to mess around with on your computer, and there is a lot of controversy over the use of the scanners for personal reasons other
than its intended use, so we thought that it might be funny to leave one in the middle of nowhere... after all its not being used for other
things. Well if ya want to see any pictures of our adventure to the cache check out my web site on gecocaching and maybe find some new
ones to explore as well. Thanx Dan.
