Logs for Two JJ
10-Mar-18
At the suggestion of some geocachers at the "16 TXGA" event, we headed out this way. A good huff and puff for these old bones, following the dictates of the GPSr arrow got us to GZ. We met a group of folks Orienteering coming off the top and exchanged greetings. From the container we took naught and left the same except for a bit of red ink in the logbook. We paused for a picnic lunch after we got back to the rig. Thanks for the fun old timer cache.
17-Dec-15
We escaped out of rain of home state for a bit of fun in the California sun! A fun stop on our way to the Salton Sea this afternoon. Thanks for the virtual.
31-Oct-14
Who, while in Kansas can not stop and log "Mingo" We came of an early morning and made the find in the fog. We took naught and left a hand knit geocaching hat along with our mark in the logbook. Thanks for the old timer cache.

After a night's rest in Gillette, we were heading west for more adventure. We paused here, gathered the needed information and took in the grand vistas. Thanks for the interesting history bit and for the virtual. We enjoyed both.

We are on a quest to make finds in each of the counties of Wyoming and Fall River County, SD was so close we had to venture over here for a few select geocaches. We did the pen and log-sheet thing and put all back as found. Thanks for the hide.
We were northbound to Gillette this morning and made the stop. We took naught and left the same except for a bit of red ink in the logbook. Thanks for the cache.

It was almost dark when we arrived. We wandered across the lot following the GPSr arrow to the container. We extracted the logbook and inscribed our mark. Thanks for the cache.
It was near to the close of day and we made the stop. Timing the retrieve and replacement without muggle eyes was a challenge. We managed both. We TN-LN but did enjoy the cache, thanks.
Our first find in Sioux County! What a well thought out hide! We liked that its distance from the attraction is enough to prevent muggles from making an accidental find. We took naught and left only our mark in the logbook. Thanks for the cache.
We also found the container on the ground. We dried the log-sheet and then inked it. We replaced the container back to its home and secured the entrance with a small stone. Thanks for the hide.
We were treated to a nice sunset when we found this cache. We marked the log-sheet and re hid. Thanks for the hide.
A nice stroll along the old grade brought us to GZ. Good coordinates made for an easy find. We inked and restored. Thanks for the hide.
We jumped through the downed limbs and made the grab. We TN and left only our mark in the logbook. Thanks for the cache.
16-May-14
We made a quick stop this early evening as we traveled east to Douglas for the night. We easily located the container where the GPSr arrow indicated. We inked the log-sheet and replaced all to as found. Thanks for the hide.

We returned this hot afternoon in hopes of correcting a DNF of last winter. Sure enough, right where the GPSr arrow indicated we made the find. Thanks for the hide.
A quick stop and grab for us this hot afternoon as we wandered about looking for a few select geocaches in the area. We inked the log-sheet and restored. Thanks for the hide.

No ghost accosted us here this warm mid morning as we followed the GPSr arrow to the hiding spot. We took naught and left the same except for a bit of ink in the logbook. Thanks for the history note and for the cache.

We had not an easy ride up the town-site. Old single speed coaster bikes, heavy but comfortable to ride don't do well on mountain roads up-grade. We made it across the last bridge and dismounted. Walked to the picnic table and took a much needed rest. Cooked up a lunch and brewed some tea. We drank about two liters of the cool Glacier creek water and felt much better. Time to hunt what brought us to this scenic place. Followed the GPSr arrow across the stream and up the hill. Passed the building noted and the arrow pointed right to the hide. We TN-LN, just read the log and signed. After re-hiding we wandered way up the hill exploring all the interesting places. We came away with new found appreciation for the sturdy folk who managed to inhabit this high valley. We took many pics of the incredible views. Thanks for keeping this bit history alive for us to marvel at. Lots of fun on the way out as most of it was downgrade.
