Logs for WD21
28-Sep-24
TFTC On the Gold Coast at the moment. Hubby is helping our daughter build a little shed, so Grandma took the grandkids Harper 10 and Kade 4 for a walk not far from where they live to find this one. I can understand the terrain rating on this one. From the park, we went left, but it would have been easier if we went right then crossed the creek. We had to traverse down the bank, then navigate across the creek, then up the other side. When we got to GZ, the coordinates were spot on. The container had water in it, but the log book is waterproof paper, so we were able to sign it.

Searched everywhere for one. Definitely think it has disappeared. Beware of the ANT nest in the post, the little buggers bite.
TFTC Another smiley added. Coordinates spot on. Thanks for bringing us out this way

TFTC Well, we decided to go back and have another look. Using Youngoldfella's coordinates, we found the cache safe and sound. Plus, a bonus down another hole this cute little guy

TFTC We found the cache in good order, signed and returned. Thanks for bringing us out this way
TFTC We looked for this one, which should have been a quick find but wasn't. So I read the previous logs, and then we began the ground search. Sure enough, we found it amongst the dirt. We have added a bit of sticky back magnet to the back of the container, so hopefully, it won't end up on the ground again.
TFTC This was a nice, easy find to finish off our day. Thanks for bringing us out this way

Well, we were there first thing this morning and looked for at least an hour. The lady next to the park also came out to see if we were OK. We will go back and try again using YOF coordinates.
We're not having a very successful day today. This one might need checking. It looks like a new power pole has gone in and a new gate. We couldn't find anything that resembled a cache.
TFTC, I'm surprised it is still there. Out in plain view. We signed the log and returned it to its location.
I found the rusted out eclipse tin embedded into the tree without a lid at the same time hubby found a small vile attached to the tree.We signed the log in the vile, but if you are shorter than 5'4", you won't reach it.Thanks for bringing us out this way

TFTC It is a beautiful view of the river. The cache was exactly where the coordinates took us. Thanks for bringing us out this way.
TFTC This did take a bit longer to find than it should have. It had been quite a few months since it was found last, and the cache had buried itself in the dirt. The log was a bit damp, but we were able to sign it, just. Thanks for bringing us out this way
TFTC. This was such a nice drive. The road is a bit bumpy. Hubby reckons they graded it once, then laid the bitumen lol. Thanks for bringing us out this way
TFTC, we replaced the log as it was wet. We tried to dry out the container, but as it was stuck in it's position it was a little hard. Thanks for bringing us out this way
TFTC The only thing we found nestled was a hole full of water and some broken glass in it. With no sign of the cache and with a DNF previous, we decided to replace the cache. It is still nestled but at ground level. I will message the cache owner.
TFTC Boy, there is a lot of traffic on this road. We had to drive past and then come back to the cache. Cars were going way too fast and sitting on our bumper. The cache was in good condition. Thanks for bringing us out this way
TFTC was nice, easy find, and everything was in order. Thanks for bringing us out this way
TFTC We found this one on the ground. I'm not sure if it had rolled out, but we tucked it away out of site. Thanks for bringing us out this way
TFTC. I wouldn't agree with the previous caches' comments. I found the Billy tin very rusty and hard to open. We had to resort to our toolbox and pry it open after breaking the handle on the lid. Inside was wet and rust liquid on the sistema container. The log sheet was damp. We wiped everything out as best as we could and returned it to its hiding place.
Hide container was opened. Cache container in dirt, log wet. Looks like an animal has been scratching around. Hubby went back to the car to get some spare logs.
TFTC Nice drive down another dirt road. Thanks for bringing us out this way
TFTC. Out with hubby today, another . Thanks for bringing us out this way
TFTC This was exactly where the hint said it would be. But beware of the termites. Thanks for bringing us out this way
TFTC. What an amazing looking hall. This is exactly where the coordinates take you. You will need to get down and look. Thanks for bringing us out this way
