Bongaree Jetty was built in 1920 to cater for visitors to Bribie Island. Since a bridge was opened in the sixties the jetty fell into disuse for vessels but is extremely popular with anglers, both local and visitors.

Finally found it!! It only took three visits - doh!
I went without the Garmin and found it with no trouble at all.
Cache is in good condition.

Found after a nice stroll!
The steps going down were a worry on my aged knees, then I thought I was going to burst a poofle valve on the way back up!!
The cache is damp inside but nearly all contents are in ziplock bags.
Someone might like to put some silica gel in this one.

Got to the park and searched around. There were a number of muggles so it was difficult to look nonchalant!
As this is an unknown type of cache - what was I looking for?
Unfortunately I won't be back in the Sydney area for quite some time.
I submitting this as a note as I am not sure whether I can count it as a find or not.

My very first find!!!
I am old enough to remember the case. Created a lot of interest at the time. Eerie to be at the site of an infamous murder case !!
Stayed in the area a couple of days after visiting Bowral.
Cache is in good nick.

Did this one after the Bogle Chandler Cache.
The entry at S33 47.5649 E151 09.3768 is closed off at the present time due to construction work. (And is likely to remain so for some time yet.)
Got to the area and carefully walked around checking things out. The local flora is flourishing. It is a pity there is no longer an actual cache here. It is a good spot.

Tried for this one while I was in the area for a wedding.
It was late in the day when I arrived so I didn't have a lot of time for searching.
When I fell and cut my arm on the rusty remains of a 4 gal drum I decided to give it a miss and go to my motel!
Nice spot for a cache though.
