Found on our travels through NZ. Took a bit of searching for the cache itself - not being familar with Ponga trees didnt help!!! Sure that there is a view of the lake from here - there certainly wasnt on this visit - in fact it was heavy rain and low cloud. We did enjoy the forest though - more so the mounatin biking over the other side of the forest.
Left McCavity the Mystery Cat Travel Bug to continue his holidays in NZ. from here he can look north towards his home in the UK. Also left the last of our Bowland Fell Mountain rescue lapel badge - from our home fells in the UK.

Enjoyed walks in this area before moving up to the Craters of the Moon thermal area. This is one interesting area.

Tried to visit on our travels through NZ but found the road works to awkward, and the construction plant and mud to intimidating for our large camper van. Nice location though - or will be once the bridge works have completed !!!

Found this on our journey through NZ - this must be a wonderful park when the flowers are in bloom. Great location - thanks - the boys really enjoyed this one.
