Wow, what an experience. Seeing that this was my last week in Wollongong (I am going back home to the States after 3.5 y), I decided to go for this cache with my girlfriend. We worked out the clues and searched for the final cache location in a nice spring rain. Aside from being a bit soggy, we were happy to find the cache in its new hiding spot. Although the puzzle was fun and must have taken a long time to work out, I think I have discovered a discrepancy in the final cache location. From the letters in the final part of the puzzle, it is possible to create two separate locations for the final cache site. After an hour of scraping my legs on lots of prickly bush and sliding in the mud, I decided to try the second possible location (which, by the way, was suggested by my lovely girlfriend). Within minutes we found the cache and she has been reminding me about it ever since. Since it appears that we were the first to find this cache after it was replaced, we had plenty of goodies to choose from. Signed the log book, but didn't write much because it was pouring. Took the SES patch and left a German airline pin. Thanks again to the Rats for all the hard work. It was a fun way to see the sites of this beautiful city.

Finally made it back to this cache. The first time I was here, the Gnome wasn't home so I couldn't ask him where his treasure was hidden. This time I was lucky and found the gnome, but I think he had been drinking too much because his directions to the second location didn't help me much. I searched high and low, but failed to find his treasure. I guess I'll have to come back someday and try again.

Made our way up the moutain via Farmborough Road in Unanderra. Nice walk through the rainforest along the Mt. Kembla Ring Track. At the top, we enjoyed the stroll through the big rocks. Had a break at the trig point and then were off to find the cache. Wished we had some [long] pants, but, instead, picked up a walking stick to push thorugh the bush. Once we made it through the jungle, we knew we were at GZ. The views were fabulous. Didn't get a chance to search GZ, because I accidentally found the cache as I took off my pack. Saw some friendly lizards who were happy to pose for some photographs. Took panda stickers and left an American Quarter (Tennessee edition). Found our way back to Wollongong via Cordeaux Road. Thanks again to the Rats for a splendid hike.

Another beautiful, sunny Sunday afternoon spent Geocaching. Took the train from Wollongong with my Bike and tried to hit at least two of the Caches in the area. Accidentally found Dark Side of the Moon, but couldn't do it becuse I didn't happen to have the right equipment. Went on to complete Ned's and had a hot dog at Stanwell Park. Had some trouble determining when exactly the HMAS Parramatta sank, but once I did, was on my way down a great hike through the Bush. Found the cache pretty quickly after that. Beautiful area will be back again to explore more thoughly. Took mug left a UOW highlighter. Moved on to the Gnome, but the Gnome wasn't home. Cheers, jkinley ( The Yank Down Under)

Team Chaos and other friends of the Gnome:
I traveld far and crawled on my belly, but I am concerned that you Gnome was not home! I checked previous logs and where I was looking matched pictures taken by the Odlids and also by Tangles. One thing is for certain, I was under a very large rock and no Gnome was home.

This was only my second cache so it took me awhile. I even thought a few times that I wouldn't find it and might have to give up. Anyway, my persistance paid off and with some luck from the big stone I found the cache shortly thereafter. Like some others before me, I got a bit stuck on the second part of the cache because I was looking for another plaque (note: there is only on plaque). This was a fun cache that got my adrenaline pumping a bit. The wind was very blowy today so I had to get on my hands and knees and crawl along the cliff lines. I was hoping very much that I wouldn't get blown off the cliff. Overall, a nice private spot and very welI hidden cache. Took a stuffed bear for my girlfriend and left a orange rescue whistle. Big thanks go to the Rats for another great afternoon.

Wow! This was my first time geocaching, but I still found it. I left my house (behind the Novotel in N. Gong) on my pushbike at 2 pm and made it to the giant arial by about 4:15. Took some photos and enjoyed the views. Then I went off to find the cache. Once I got to within a couple of meters it only took me about 5 minutes or so to find it, even though it is hidden very well. I put a 1973 American quarter in the cache in exchange for the CD-Rom. I gave the quarter because I am an American born in 1973. I took the CD-Rom because I thought there would be cool photos or some music on it, but when I got home found out that it was just blank. Oh, well. Maybe I'll burn something on it and put it back there sometime soon. Thanks to the Rats for a fun afternoon. Cheers, jkinley.
