Logs for meltdiceburg

Today myself and Alma Aurea have had a drive into Belgium with the main aim being to stop off and find this legendary geocache. We parked nearby and had a short walk in the woods to gz where the large container didn't prove too hard to find. Great to finally visit here, a very picturesque area and a good one to find, great it has lasted so long. Many thanks. TFTC

Another easy find with an excellent view. It's only a pity the detour to the nearby headlander cache has spoiled the mood, as we are scratched to pieces after trying to get to it, I'm an experienced person in off path terrain but that just isn't any fun, I'd recommend staying on this series. Too many people about as well unfortunately, we have to stop to give way every few feet, amazing for this time of year. Just the multi now.

Today is the fourth day of a week in Cornwall for myself and the Magna Detinpotter and we are having a drive to St. Ives for the virtual before heading around the west coast visiting a few letterboxes and earthcaches before dropping in at an event at Land's End near our earthcache at sunset. Then we are finishing with a couple of nightcaches and the Cats, Mouses and Birds virtual. After a wet day yesterday we are promised some sun and warm autumn weather. Caches found with the Garmin Oregon 600. Many thanks to all the co's who have placed and maintained the caches we have found today. TFTC

We fancied a short walk around this series after parking up. This was the first, a quick find here with spot on coordinates.

With the GPS a little less precise here it took a little searching before I spotted where this one was stashed.

A straightforward find here once we spotted where the hint item was buried.

A very pleasant path here, many hedgerow birds enjoying the sun today. A nice quick find here.

We made a miserable diversion away from this series to the headlanders hateful hide which saw us open access across with no idea of the best route and literally get carved up by the gorse. Without doubt the least enjoyable caches I've done for years, even the vague path we found to get out was horrible.

My recommendation is to keep exclusively to this series, as this route is very good, it isn't worth the detour to the headlanders cache. We were very pleased to be back on a real path, a quick find here as it wasn't hidden at all by the previous person, but I used the provided rocks to hide it, not that difficult....! Great location here.

We dropped down to the shore as the hint is misleading but then realised the error and returned to the top for a quick find. A seal popped its head up to say hello as well!

In town for a gig but had plenty of time to kill so we had a walk to grab a few caches I've had my eye on for a while. This was a bit out of our way but I had to come and grab it as it's a Snaffler hide in the big city. I came here a couple of years ago after aceing the early stages of a graduate interview programme and I remember being sat high up in the tower behind being told how the co-operative bank was financed differently and was indestructible in these difficult times, and how they would use the opportunity to take over the world. Their weird interview process was only one of many mistakes they have made since that speech. But it's interesting to think what a different path my life might have taken had I succeeded on that day, although in truth, I reckon I'm pretty happy with how things worked out. I spotted this one, Shadowflux retrieved it as he's big and the Magna Detelephoner just checked the empire as he's found it before. TFTC

I thought the original would still be there, hence why it was never maintained! Good to see it lives on.
