TFTCSL. After a trip to the Portland, Oregon area last summer to find caches placed in May, June, and July of 2000, I knew a trip to the Phoenix area to grab caches placed in September and December of 2000 would have to be in my future to finish off the Jasmer Challenge. I knew I didn’t want to go in the summer so I chose the first week of February. It wasn’t 120 degrees but it was a bit too warm for being out in the desert.
My second cache of the trip. I parked at the trailhead began making my way up the road. Also immediately I’d wish I would have got the permit and the code for the gate, but I don’t think the rental car wouldn’t have made it through the gate. I walked up the dirt road until I felt like a wasn’t getting any closer to the cache then started heading cross country.
My work has asked that we wear a fitbit to monitor our steps each day. I’ve set my goal to 8,000 steps per day. Just as I reached ground zero the alarm went off telling me I’d reached my goal.
I was able to quickly find the cache, sign the log, and return the cache to its hiding place for the next geocacher.

TFTC. Kinny_k had I have been trying to get to Potters Pond for a while now and decided with the Geocaching Road Trip ’15 we would make it a road trip and grab a few Virtual Caches and EarthCaches along the way. I was hoping to get enough Virtual Caches to qualify for the Challenge of the Century: Virtual Caches, but ended a little short. It made for a long day trip but we both got to see areas of Utah we had never seen before, find the oldest caches in Utah, and enjoy a Virtual and EarthCache tour of the area.
After visiting the museum in Caste Dale we noticed that the weather was beginning to change and by the time we turned north on Miller Flat Road the rain was really starting to fall. We made our way to the Potters Pond campground and found a place to park. We were debating whether to wait out the storm or make a mad dash for it. I did have a plastic rain poncho in my geocaching bag but felt a little awkward not having one for kinny-k. Shortly the rain broke and we hurried as fast as we could to the cache site. After a bit of a search kinny-k yelled out that he had it and we both signed the log. After hiking in the tall grass I had wet pants over my knees and wet shoes. In our desperation to get back to the car we didn’t take any pictures and the cache site, but I did get kinny_k to snap one of me at our stream crossing.

I have stumbled upon a couple of useful UDOT Traffic cam that give a good idea of how much snow is left.
This camera shows the turn off from State Route 31 (at milepost 18) onto Miller's Flat Road, the route that you would probably take if attacking this cache from the north. http://commuterlink.utah.gov/1_devices/aux15910.jpeg

Hope that helps with anyone's planning.

Even the cache owner had to wait out the buses to replace the cache.
