Appleton, WI Doughboy.
As was noted in the 2004 find of the Appleton Viquesney Doughboy, it is in need of repair. The Appleton Post-Crescent has started a fund raising drive to generate the estimated $30,000-40,000 that will be required to fix the statue.
To quote the Post-Crescent:
"If you’d like to contribute, you can send a check to: Save the Doughboy, Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, P.O. Box 563, Appleton, WI 54912. Make the check payable to “Post-Crescent Community Fund.†Or you can donate online by going to www. cffoxvalley.org. We’ll recognize everybody who contributes in the pages of The Post-Crescent."
