Logs for odies-crew
20-Sep-15
Every time we drive pass on the bypass we say 'must do those caches someday'. Today we had to take the daughter to the airport early and we decided to detour and do the caches in Victoria Park on the way home. Unfortunately we only managed to get 2 before the runners came through. (We will return to finish them at some point).
As for this cache - very busy place even early on a Sunday morning, managed to sneak in behind the bushes between muggles. Quickly found. TFTC.

We had to pick daughter up from the airport this evening and after checking low tide we knew we could do this one before we picked her up. The bigger ladders were put in the car and off we went. We arrived at the car park at low tide and dad of the crew made the small walk with ladders out to GZ.
Finally he had cache in hand and log was soon unfurled to sign, by this time his hand was shaking being so high and balancing at the top of a ladder and not holding onto anything. Log was initialled and dated quickly and quickly rolled back up and cache replaced to it's hiding place. Great cache and one that we are glad to have turned to a smiley face. TFTC Fav. point given.

We had to pick the daughter up from the Airport later in the evening and as there was low-tide an hour before we had to pick her up the main objective was Belfast Lough. We found this cache on route to Belfast Lough cache. TFTC.

Had to be at the George Best Airport this morning to drop of the youngest member of the crew as she had to be in Nottingham for noon. There was no sense going home and then returning to go to the wholesalers so the other two members of the crew took the opportunity to do some caches.
After parking at the elected parking spot the short walk to GZ was made. Found after a short search. TFTC.

After bumping into the CO at another cache he came with us to check this one out. We didn't know if are ladders would be long enough or not. Unfortunately they weren't but it has given us a good gauge for the next time - we will return.

Was in the area and as this was the closest cache went for a nice walk. The gps was bouncing all over the place and after about an hour searching gave up.

After a conversation with Samares Seekers over a week ago we all decided to meet up this morning and have another go at trying to find this cache. All of us had solved it well over a year ago but had dismal dnf's on it at that time.
Alarm was set to go of early this morning as mum of the crew had to be back for work. Arrived at the car park before all the other walkers started arriving for there morning walk. After a bit of a search cache was found with a new log but unfortunately somebody had been there before us this morning - they must have been up very early to find this BBTC. Found with Samares Seekers, Team Hughes and Ellie Mol. TFTC.

We are spending a bit of time in Belfast at the minute due to personal circumstances, while in Belfast we took the time to tick this one of the list.
Had to hoke in the bushes for the number for one of the answers other than that we had no problem finding all the info needed.
The finally lead us through long grass and then we had to have a bit of search, as gps was approx. 20 feet out and cache itself was well covered.
Nice area and Odie enjoyed the lovely walk. TFTC.

Everything clicked into place a few months ago after a year of trying to solve and the path became clear how to solve. Mum of the crew jumped for joy when everything fitted into place and a set of cords was found.
The CO was contacted straight away to check them and also for them to know that she was dancing around the room that finally this one is no more .
Mum of the crew having now finished her part in retrieving the cache the baton was now handed over to the rest of the crew to find it.
Our first attempt about a month ago was as other's before us have stated a jungle - thistles and weeds as high as your head and a lot of beating down of these said thistles and weeds to make a path to are goal. All was going well until 65 feet of goal and Odie refused to go any further. All that was left for us to do was to retreat back to the car.
Second attempt Odie was left at home and prepared with a heavy duty walking stick the journey started. This time success GZ was found, now all we had to do was find the cache and sign the log ................. sorry that's as far as we go you will just have to solve the puzzle to find out what else you have to do find the cache .
Great cache and a fav. point given. Took TB.
