Found this one with Burgo....reaching out meant we needed to drop back in by the Pub on the way home...

Jeff and I wandered down the track after not having found the slab (will try again). Got to within 2m on the garmin, but the search failed to show the cache. Looked everywhere. Great views of the water and the village of boomtown...

Disappointed. Not a good way to end the day. And after such a long walk down the hills...

Will try this one again after the energy levels are back...

Wow. Great views. Spectacular Picnic venue and so secluded. Visited with my friend Jeff, who is now pretty keen on the sport. The cache was reasonably straight forward, apart from going over the cliff....long way down (only joking...).

Signed the log, took nothing, but left a Rugby World Cup 2003 Quarterfinal ticket stubb.

Started walking toward this one, but the track led us away toward boomtown (which we also wanted to do), so we kept walking toward boomtown.

On our way back we kept looking for a track to follow to help lead us to the slab, but found no such track.

A bit disappointed after we found 2 caches earlier in the day.

Will try this one again when the energy levels are back.

Jeff and I had a fair while searching in the wrong location. Not particularly straight forward. Got to hate those caches close to cliff edges....

After all the searching, we decided to follow a track that led us in the wrong direction, but brought us back....finally found the cache. Took about 1hr to find this one.

Left a business card for the Ottoman Restaurant in Canberra - a great turkish feed lot!

Interesting one this one. My third find of the day. Started at the train station and was confused by the plaque comment (couldn't find it!!), but eventually worked it out with some lateral thinking....

Nice walking trail to the bridge and a well hidden cache - didn't want to put my hand down there!!!! Eventually built up the courage after some walkers went by and signed the log book.

Enjoyed doing the maths and actually got it right! Didn't know which end of the bridge to take the paces from, but that soon became apparent.

A pen was to be found inside the cache.

Wow - my second cache find. A pretty full cache and probably the best I've seen in a while. Fully stocked. Didn't take anything, but left a $US1 note.

My third cache find and my second of the day! On a roll! This was a pretty difficult one, due to the terrain, but a challenge none the less. Enjoyed it and went off route on many ocassions. All part of the fun I guess.

Condition of the cache is not good. Water filled the bottom third of the container. And the lid is not so red anymore because of the sun.

Didn't take anything, but left a ticket stub from the France v Scotland Rugby World Cup 2003 game!

Moving onto my third of the day....

Wow! My first ever geocache and I found it first go!!! Unbelievable!!! And what a view - spectacular. Great camoflauge on the box.

Been a while since the last visitor and the next visitor should get a great surprise when they find what I left - a Hoyts Movie Voucher!

Good luck and keep up the great work...looking forward to my next find.

Wink

Well, I gotta say, after reading all the logs and having had my first ever cache find this morning, I was disappointed not to find this one....

I searched for nearly an hour in the scrub - in a 10m radius of the 0m mark on my GPS.

Came home very sad, but the exercise was good.

Can someone reconfirm that this cache is still intact? If so, I will retry another time...
