Logs for sedm

03-Apr-05
A fun stop on our drive from SYD to BNE just before we hit the dorrigo park. Took a plastic aligator and left a boeing plane keychain. Cache was a bit damp and keychain has a battery so perhaps not the best choice but all I had with me. Thanks!

Hooray, glad to cap the evening off with a victory after a dnf on the nearby cache, and it's just big enough for a trade! Took squished penny: very exciting, I collect them and looks like this will be my only Aussie one Smile Left a Boeing keyring pen (tucked in with the log since it needed one). Beautiful view and many fewer muggles. Thanks!

tried in the evening but way too many muggles put a damper on our willingness to search aggressively. We didn't find the decrypted hint helpful.

Well Ex Nihil, perhaps our mistake can be your gain. Excellent cache, thank you VERY much. We selected yorkie racer #2 but alas upon return to our hotel we did not have him in our possesion and we have a sinking feeling that we left him lying on a rock in the open, 1 to 2 metres east of the cache. So if you find time to check and find him, please consider him liberated by non-owner cachers and send him on his way. I will add a note to his log as well. Next cacher - please check specifically for him in the cache!

We decided to beat the heat by going in the evening. I chose the evening of the full moon and packed a torch, but we cut it closer than I wished and the climb was every bit as difficult as you describe. Thank you very much for the TOP and BOTTOM coords, we were following something trail-like half the time at best. We reached BOTTOM only 30 mins before sundown. Made it up in about 20 mins, leaving us only 10 to glance around at the spectatular view and frantically seek out the cache. We did see a 'roo, and we did find the cache. However as we were seriously concerned about the difficulty of the return terrain and beginning to have visions of a mishap landing us on the front page under a headline of "Stupid American Tourists" we were in a bit of a breathless hurry as we Took Yorkie Racer, Left a Seattle Storm keyring (in honor of Lauren Jackson, Aussie basketball player, best female in the world, who currently plays for our team) and signed the log. So we think yorkie got set down while one of us snapped a few photos and we carefully rehid the cache, and then not picked back up as we raced the fading light to the TOP. The moonrise was later this night than the friday night we had researched, and the torch not so helpful because you need to see ahead to choose a path, but we were saved by the incredibly bright light from the nearby sports fields which allowed us to pick our way down in about 35 minutes. We capped the evening by stopping at Rudi's Trattoria on Gap Road on the return walk and having wood fired pizza that rivaled any we had in Europe.
We did manage the Desert Park the next day, thanks much for the recommendation, and we would add the Reptile Center as another Alice must-do.

Found and approved, thanks! This was a great view and chock full of smooching couples when we went with the GPS at dusk.

Found and approved by email. Thanks! Nice to have one that doesn't require waiting in line, we wanted to try the other one in the area but after we got through the museum we were beat! Went for an espresso instead Smile
