We found Zwickau (Germany)
Today on our trip we drive through Zwickau (Germany).
My storage card didn´t work at the download from the welcome sign. We took a picture from the Internet. I hope that is o.k.

Some about Zwickau:
The home of 103 000 inhabitants, Zwickau is the Free State of Saxony’s fourth-largest city, surpassed in size only by Dresden, Leipzig and Chemnitz. Situated on the river Mulde, this city is internationally known as the birthplace of the composer Robert Schumann (1810-1856) and the artist of the Brücke movement Max Pechstein (1881-1955). Zwickau is particularly committed to the legacy of its great sons. This becomes evident in the International Robert Schumann Piano and Song Competitions and the International Choir Competitions. The economic region of Chemnitz-Zwickau is among the most important growth regions in Saxony and the new German states.

We found "Alte Oper" Frankfurt/Main Germany

Some about the History

A LOOK BACK TO THE PAST
1880 - An opera house for Frankfurt
On 20 October 1880, Frankfurt celebrated a long-awaited event - the opening of its own opera house.

Destruction and reconstruction

The Frankfurt Opera House had escaped the First World War with only slight bomb damage to its façade, so its destruction towards the end of the Second World War was all the more tragic. During the night of 23rd March 1944, the Opera House was completely burnt-out and sections of its roof collapsed entirely.

Just a few of the famous names to play in the Alte Oper Frankfurt
Classical - Orchestras
Classical - Conductors
Classical - Soloists
Pop/Rock/Jazz/Cabaret/Readings

We found this water wheel in the evening, so we can only take this picture.
