Found this travel bug at the top of Pulpit Rock , as it is known by the locals. Since then it has been on a long overseas journey through the middle east including Abu Dhabi in the UAE, then on through Petra, Wadi Rum, Amman and Jerash in Jordan, Cairo, the pyramids, Luxor and Aswan in Egypt and by ferry to Wadi Halfa in Sudan. From there it travelled by overland truck through several historical and archaelogical sites in Sudan into Ethiopia. There it visited Gonder, the Simien Mountains, the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela and Addis Abeba before crossing into Kenya at Moyale. It has been through the Samburu and Lake Nakuru game reserves, been to the source of the Nile at Jinja in Uganda and tracked mountain gorillas also while in Uganda. Then it headed into Tanzania where, after some deliberation, decided not to continue on to Cape Town with it's escort but to stop at the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro for a well earned rest.
