Description
Take a photo with Ron and log a find
As we know, all cachers at some time when out in the field need to stop and refuel.
A lot of cachers refuel at McDonalds and in some stores they have a statue of Ronald himself, so your mission is to find such a store and get a photo of your self and Ronald with your GPS.
You must get a photo of yourself, no kids allowed to stand in for Mum or Dad, get your child to take the photo, include the co-ords in your log.
Only one store per cacher and each store can only be logged once.
Have fun, oh and maybe a brief rundown on the store you took the pic in, is it a good store, a bad one, is the food good, was the service good. that sort of thing.
Post your photo here!

I had to ask for the number on a local facebook group and was helped very quickly.
Great to see one even if I can't claim a find.
Can’t give a comment on the store except to say it looked like your standard Maccas food court store, havent eaten here either so cant give a review of the food.
Thanks for a different locationless and some nice points for the SON games Team Gunn Parker.
GCA find #87
MrsG trying to slink out of a photo with Ronald. Like the previous finder, Ronald the standing or sitting statue seems to have been superseded with this lurking version.

Me thinks you'll be hard-pressed finding a Ronald statue nowadays, within Australia at least, with all Macca's stores having major refurbishment.
To good an opportunity not to grab this Ronald in Fiji to claim this Locationless. Food (Brekkie) was good ! Staff very polite as well - plus there is an ATM there.

Yeah finally got this locationless.
Thanks.
So where else was there to go but McDonalds at Cessnock. And we met Ronald.
Maverick4x4, Shifter Brains, Pesky and Super Snoop are in the photo, and Ronald of course.
Logged this one at S17 16.079 E145 28.467 on the way through the Tablelands in North Qld. TFTC
The traffic jams were continuous and the GPS said we were averaging 25 km/hr over the last 100kms so stopping at one of the these 'service centres' broke the boredom for the kids and provided us with some strong coffee to stay awake.

Wonder what the muggle was thinking when a grown man asked if he could have his photo taken with Ronald.

It is usually a nice, friendly and clean Big M.
Laura was on her way to have some stitches removed; you wouldn't think she had had six hours of major heart surgery a week before this photo was taken!
I'm afraid to say though that this Maccas has to be the worst as far as service and cleanliness is concerned, mainly due to the fact that it was always woefully understaffed! And in all the times I went there (way too many!) the frozen raspberry fizz was always "Re-Freezing"! GWLN (Gained Weight, Left Nothing) TFTC!
I'm not one to frequent Maccas, but my friends with kids do, so what was I to do but go along for the ride? This was the first McDonalds that I went to in Ireland, one of four. When I saw Ronald there, I suddenly remembered...and I CAN say it made my experience there far more exciting. Sat there for a while summoning up the courage. Didn't want to explain the whole thing when my adult friends already think I'm slightly deranged. Then I decided the kids could work to my advantage, and I just pretended I was being the snap-happy friend taking photos of the kids (and letting them have a go of the camera too). They didn't suspect a thing. Oh, and the food was, well, it was McDonalds. It didn't seem overly unique???? Thanks for the cache, though. Gave me some excitement even if no-one else knew about it!!!!!!!!!!
We didn't eat here today but have on previous occasions. The quality/speed of service ranges depending on how busy it is. It is the store where we've had our longest ever wait! (and where the 6 yr old geokid dropped a slushie on the floor!)
BUT what a cracker of a cache!
It is so much easier trying to take a pic of Ronald when you have a small chld with you. But still they look at you weird enough if the child is carrying a GPS especially when the shop where we found Ronald was so small.
PS.... We had to go to three Maccas to find Ronald

After a days caching we stopped here to warm up a bit (outside temps, 1.6deg when we arrived, 1.4deg when we left), I noticed Ronald shivering in the dark so, after warming up inside, passed the camera to Swampgecko, worked out how to open the childproof gate and obtained the picture.
The place? - Lithgow.
Since the title of the cache is The Big M ... we went out and found a really biggun'
Try as I may .. Therese just wouldn't climb up on the roof.
Took Nuffin' but memories and a photo
Left an amused cashier in the drive thru.
Cheers TLC

Here is a member of Team_Diesel with Ron at the Glen Waverley Golden Arches.
Opened in 1971, as Victoria's first McDonalds, on the southeast corner of Springvale and High Street Roads Glen Waverley. The company won the right to build against considerable local opposition and the planning regulations, taking their case through the courts at great expense.
List of Melbourne Macca's that DON'T have this clown character at them...

- St Kilda
Seems a number of Ronald's have been replaced by McCafe's.
I have been hanging out to get down to Geraldton to log this cache as our Karratha store doesnt have a Ronald. I didnt think I was going to manage a photo for this cache as the other half of the team REFUSED to participate in photo taking on Sunday when the store was very busy SO.....
As we were about to leave to come back to Karratha on early Monday morning I convinced Ian that we should go back into Geraldton to top up the fuel and have a quick coffee. Once there (at Maccas) I grabbed the camera and since the store had only just opened (we were actually waiting on the doorstep) AND there wasnt anybody about and Ian "happily" took the money shot.
Geraldton store is always a great place to visit - the staff are friendly and courteous, service excellent. The store is always clean, even when the holiday rush is on.
Sue and Ron
We stopped for refreshment break between the cache hunting, at Midland. Where there is no available good coffee cafe or for a quick good coffee, we opted McCafe if we are happening to be in this area. Ronald is happy to be in the photo with Mr Varuna and GPSr.
