Description

A MAGNIFICENT SIGHT SEEN JUST AFTER ARRIVAL IN BALI

This great island has so many fantastic sites to visit and as you proceed to your hotel you come across this apparition that sets you off on many excursions.

It is a virtual because as a frequent visitor I have come to realise that little boxes are not always the best options. Nor are views good virtual caches.

This virtual is an object of the type not seen in Australia.

To claim a find please send an email with a photo of yourself in front of the object holding your gps. Also tell me how many horses there are on the object.

GCA 289 - 4512. ACBC 66 and I visited Bali for a Christmas/New Year holiday.

We hired a car and driver for a drive around Bali - and we passed this one twice - enough to grab the required number of horses and the photo ! Another Impressive Statue ! Email sent and permission to log has been received.

TFTC !

Found after two weeks in Indo visiting some great friends. Snapped this on the way to Bandara Ngurah Rai, which will be fantastic when the new International Terminal is completed.

I'm not a huge fan of the demon god but he certainly has a fine taste in horses!

Thanks for the opportunity to grab an Indonesian cache as the trads are rather problematic in a nation of 220 million muggles!

One of four caches found while having ten days in Bali on holiday. The mammoth feature is very impressive, and certainly not missable. photographed without any problems, as there were many people photographing the statue at the same time.

The answer for the virtual was easily found and sent to the owner who has given permission to log. Photo's are attached.

After a very quick response from Robtas (thanks) I can claim this as a find. Took the lazy (and cheap) way of getting this and got a taxi from Kuta to get the photo an danswer for this.

It is an impressive sight.

After delays & rerouting we landed at 3am this morning & drove past on the way to the hotel.
After a snooze I had a long walk from Seminyak & got to the statue at 12:30

This is another spectacular artwork again in the middle of a busy intersection. Luckily, there is a much more convenient spot to pull up and today I didn't need my finely tuned art of crossing busy roads. Its a very well kept and clean piece of art. Email sent to owner. Photos when I get home.

This virtual cache gave me the incentive to finally stop & have a good look at this very impressive statue - I have driven past here on many occasions to/from the airport. Fortunately there was a very convenient spot to park which I had not noticed before, so access was pretty easy. TFTC.
Tip - make sure you go right up to the statue, because the foliage does tend to obscure the horses!

Passed by this very impressive monument on way up to Candi Dasa. Have always admired it, so was pleased to have excuse to stop for a photo shoot.

We have driven past (usually in a rush) and admired this statue many times in the past, but this was the first time we took the time to stop and have a detailed look. It certainly is a marvellous sculpture!

Thanks Robtas for this cache.

After locating the grave of Mads Lange (a requirement for a GC cache) we came to this spot for the obligatory photos before being able to log our FTF. This cache and also GA208 - Dewaruci Bali are a must see for any visitor to Bali. These statues/ stone sculptures are placed there for everyone to see, but make a point to take the time and stop and look closely at the workmanship involved in these magnificent statues.
Thanks to Robtas for another well selected spot for a cache.
