HI Geoskid, does this need to be archived ? I had another look for this on the way up to Pelion, still no luck, couple of likely spots, but I did not like to dig around too much trying to find it.
Also had no luck here. Tried both sets of coordinates but no luck. After 24 hrs of rain the river was up & the falls spectacular.
With my GPS taking me 50m upstream from the falls I pulled out the hint, but too many locations resembled the hint, though I was sure I was at the right spot, but without time on my side I had to give up. I'm sure I will be back as the walk into Lees paddock is beautiful.
Have wanted to do this cache for a while now and combine it with a overnighter to Reg Wadley Hut. The falls were pumping and quite speccy. No trouble finding the cahe either.
Although the falls were fantastic on this beautiful summers day the flat rocks and gentle cool waters upstream were the highlight for young and old alike. An idyllic setting worthy of all the sore feet created to find it. Thanks for the cache and thanks to CarrollEyre for inviting us along.

The second part of Tasowls and CEyres waterfall discovery trip. So far our party of 4 adults and seven mini cachers have walked for four hours because I inadvertently used the West Rowallan track rather than the strongly recommended Mersey Forest Road. The West Rowallan track becomes too rough for conventional vehicles.....
Walking along the Lees Paddocks track from the Lewis Falls we found a genuine mountain spring to refill our water bottles and then treked further into the forest till we found another small clearing and the GPSr was indicating that we had overshot the Oxley falls. We didn't see any cairns or pink tape, so following the GPSr arrow we traced our way through the clearing and eventually sighted a small scrap of pink tape high in a tree limb. (Is it possible that someone has removed all cairns and tape?) Following another indistinct pad into the forest we soon stumbled onto the wonderously huge rock slab above the Oxley Falls where the Mersey River flowed at knee depth. Whooping with joy the kids quickly changed into togs and paddled in the water while the adults removed boots and let the water soothe tired feet. Idyllic, truly idyllic. A glance at the time showed the day was ending and we found (once again) that dressing reluctant teary kids takes far longer....We marched back to the cars at a fairly brisk pace and rested our weary limbs at 7:30 some 8 and half hours after we set off.
The cache is set in a spectacular place with two nearby falls, the bigger lower falls and upstream of the rock slab a smaller set of falls. We found the cache using the clue as the co-ordinates were well out, my old GPSr had the cache at S41 50.496 E146 09.934. We signed the log before walking back to the cars.
This is a great place to discover on warm summer afternoons so thanks Geoskid for yet another outstanding cache. Well done.

Continued on from Lewis on Mersey to another lovely set of falls. Clue was extremely helpful and cache found quickly, leaving more time to admire the falls (...and, er, pick off leeches!) Beautiful walk and a great set of caches. Thanks very much.

One of the best experiences we have ever had caching. These waterfalls are so impressive and I wish we had known about them when we had walked into Lees Paddocks previously. Gave the camera a good workout. Found the cache easily thanks to the clue. Future visitors might like to know that the beginning of the side track to the falls is marked by a cairn or rocks. Took nothing as there was nothing there to take but left a fridge magnet. Thanks for this top cache in a top spot.

There is a cairn of stones on a log and then turn towards the river and it is just a short walk in. What beautiful falls, they were going flat out and breathtakingly beautiful, I dont think I have seen falls any more spectacular and would not have gone there without the promise of a cache, this is a must for the cacher that loves the Tassy bush. Left a couple of little swaps just because I could, found it with Beetles2

A FTF. The falls were pumping flat out following recent heavy rains but the day was fine and frosty. Would not have found this without the good clue as gps reception is poor in the area. Thanks Geoskid
