Description
This cache is a Gnomic.
A Gnomic is a game where the players can change the rules while the game is in progress. One of the most famous Gnomics is Calvinball, but you might be able to think of some other examples. If you've ever been involved in the arcane process of writing requirements or in amending the Constitution of your local sporting club then this cache might appeal to you!
Anyone can find, log and move this cache. Anyone who moves the cache in accordance with the rules below may propose a rule change. When you log your find on the website, simply add a proposal to your log and I'll put it to a vote of all the cachers who have already found the cache. If you're successful I'll update the rules and adjust the cache as necessary for future cachers to find. You can read about and discuss past and current rule changes here.
This Gnomic is competing with the other Gnomics for the affections of Snow White. They know she is a bit of an apple fancier so they've agreed that whoever can collect the most apples for her gets to sit closest to her at breakfast. Sleepy is currently sitting closest to Snow White at breakfast with 17 apples. Grumpy is languishing at the bottom of the table with only 4 apples!
Here is the current ruleset:
(G) GRM-001: All rules, moves and hides must comply with the 2010/2011 Moving Cache Race Rules until midnight on the 31st of January 2011, after which this rule shall no longer apply.
(G) GRM-002: Rules are divided into two kinds: Golden Rules and non-Golden Rules. Non-Golden Rules may be changed into Golden Rules (called beatification). Golden Rules are marked with a (G) and can never be changed, deleted or anathematised to non-Golden Rules.
(G) GRM-003: Golden Rules take precedence over non-Golden Rules.
(I) GRM-101: Non-Golden Rules are divided up into two types: mutable and immutable. The main difference between these is that immutable rules must be changed into mutable rules (called transmuting) before they can be modified or removed. Rules marked with an (I) are immutable and rules marked with an (M) are mutable.
(I) GRM-102: Immutable rules take precedence over mutable rules.
(I) GRM-103: A rule change may be:
- the addition of a new mutable rule,
- an amendment to a mutable rule,
- the repeal of a mutable rule,
- the transmutation of a rule from mutable to immutable,
- the transmutation of a rule from immutable to mutable, or
- the beatification of an immutable rule to a Golden Rule.
(I) GRM-104: Any cacher who moves the Gnomic in accordance with these rules is eligible to propose a rule change.
(I) GRM-105: All proposed rule changes shall be written down in the logs associated with the Gnomic before they are voted on.
(I) GRM-106: Each proposed rule change will be given a number for reference by the Owner.
(I) GRM-107: When a rule change is proposed then other players may suggest amendments or argue against the proposal before the vote. A reasonable time will be allowed for this debate. The proponent decides the final form in which the proposal is to be voted on and the Owner decides the time to end debate and vote.
(I) GRM-108: All rule changes shall be voted on. They will be adopted if they receive the required number of votes.
(I) GRM-109: Each cacher who moves the Gnomic is an eligible voter.
(I) GRM-110: A cacher may move the Gnomic more than once, providing that the last move was by someone else.
(M) GRM-201: A rule change is adopted if the vote achieves a simple majority among the eligible voters who have responded by the deadline.
(M) GRM-202: The Owner has five votes. The FTF has four votes. The Second To Find has three votes. The Third To Find has two votes. All other players have one vote.
(M) GRM-203: If the rules are changed so that finding or moving the Gnomic is impossible then the Owner will alter the rules to allow the Gnomic to be found or moved again.
(M) GRM-204: Grumpy's Gnomic shall be moved as far away as possible from the last known position of Happy's Gnomic.
(M) GRM-205: Every time this Gnomic is found, rated or recommended he gets an apple. The Gnomic with the most apples gets to sit next to Snow White at breakfast!

Thanks for the gnome
A chance to catch up with some Sydney cachers that we have only parried with on the forums, enjoy some good company and swap some tags.
Thanks for the gnome
It was a great day! The gnomes enjoyed it, and so did the non-gnomes.
Good food, good company, good pathtags, and magnificent weather and views!
Don't go looking for him before Saturday the 2nd of July, he won't come out and play until then!
So don't go looking for him, he is not where you think.
It was quite a surprise to find him sitting there in the cold waiting patiently for me to arrive home from a Gnome drop in Sydney!
Not to worry he will soon be on his way after some R&R.
So to find him you will have to solve this multi (or have solved it in the past and remember where the hide is). The coords are for the start of the multi.
As I carried on towards the office the phone rang and I got diverted to Narellan for a problem so it's taken a while to log him.
Found this one hiding and shivering in the Autumn chill. He's got stories to tell, but seems reluctant to say anything. He did mention water boarding, and teeth pulling though...hmmmm....more investigation required.
Where will he be assigned?
We'll have to wait and see!
He'll benefit from his time with the GFF.
The GFF will make a big difference to him, and perhaps put a smile on his face.
We shall see . . .
For now, he's in the 'transport pool' in the GeoBuru2.
They were, however, sick of my driving, and when i got out to get a coffee, jumped out.
"No, WAIT!! DONT GO!!" i yelled, but alas, i think it was just too late.
So, i finally went out and gnabbed him on the way home. I didnt even have to turn the car engine off. I like these kinda park-n-grab's.
Might possibly hang on to this guy until next week (if that's ok?), i have gnomey plans. (or i might continue to invade woden with gnomes..)
(involving taking him for a nice long drive. yeesh, what did you think i was going to do? Geez? )
Found this little guy at the High Tea for Gnomes & Cachers Event !
TFTC !!
TY to the organizers of High Tea for Gnomes & Cachers!
A great time had by all....including the gnomes.
(So this is what it looks like in here )
TFTG
Black Bunny had a few gnomes to leave in Melbourne, and his gnome carrying shopping basket (he calls it a portable incarceration module, but WE know!).
Vicky the Van ran very well - she's our new caching purchase - old, but new for us.
Found after a bit of a search my GPSr was playing around a litte then it decided to settle & the was soon in my hands & on the move again
There is four gnomes scattered through this park now.
I hope to have them back out again by the weekend, I'm so sorry!
I will drop him off soon, our day got called to an early end after some swamp wadding fun on the way to a cache at Seaford wetlands!
Will be dropped off again in a couple of days.
park facing the traffic lights near the big sign, then this little fellow will be right in front of your car behind the little sign
