Description
You will get your feet wet looking for this one
The Gnome started life as my entrant in the GeGnome Project, moveable cache race 2010/2011.
Where do navy seals love to hide ............?
Dressed in SCUBA gear he is most at home underwater.
Logging a Moveable Cache
As moveable caches can be quite creative, with a normal moveable cache, follow these steps to log your find and move.
First Step: Log your find with a 'Found' log (this will give you your smiley!)
Second Step: When you have moved the cache to its new location, log a NEW 'Moved' log, adding the new co-ordinates and even a hint in the hint box if you wish. The hints box will update the main hint for the cache so that it will update in GSAK and the like.

Not sure if someone has moved this one on but not logged it, however I was unable to find it today in my search between passing muggles.

Moved him closer to his natural environment.
I and the kids were out and about today and thought we would call by this location and pick up a fellow diver. We searched for a while all over the place and did not find him and we were about to leave when I resorted to looking at exactly where the co-ords pointed me and bingo... how strange. I did find with the end of a stick though, but the kids were really excited to find their first gnome ... we have not yet found a suitable location to place him but will do so in the next few days. This is not the first time i have seen him as I saw him with spladem the night he placed him at his night cache.
Dropped off in our favourite place for leaving gnomes.
Thanks Gwaterlogged

We stumbled over Gnavy Gseal after after finding a GC cache. We nearly missed him in the dark owing to his black attire, but geoson has keen eyes. We'll find another place for him soon.
Thanks Gwaterlogged - Great job.

NB: He isn't actually here, this point is the start of
Cross Roads after Dark #5 (GC2V1CF) which is a short night cache..
Scubba Sam (not his real name) is awaiting you as a prize at GZ..
enjoy..

The Gseal has sought some urban reconnaisance, engaging in stealthy watery shenanigans at the nearby facility before taking a rest awfully close to a gnearby singularity....
I'd spotted this one while doing some cache-reconnaisance for our upcoming houseboat trip, and made a plan to grab this one while we were passing by... So on Day 3 we travelled back upstream, through Echuca and then on approach to the Gnome found a suitable mooring point just 300 metres up the river. Moored and then took the family for a much needed walk on land. A short jaunt and a bit of a scour at GZ and we soon had the gnome in sight, although retrieving was somewhat trickier. We'll take this fantastic little fellow back with us to Melbourne and find some suitable urban dives for him

Had his air tanks repaired but lines not doing so well. Temporary repair attended until parts arrive from OS (well I've had that as a reason before).
His journey upstream has been long and arduous, coping with high rivers and high speed boat races - The Southern 80.
I'm not sure that it's been all work though, he is now wearing a heart on his sleeve Gnaughty Gnavy Gseal

Sorry for the delay on logging new co-ords. Gnavy Gseal had poppped in to have his air tanks serviced. Will be back to travelling upstream in the Murray shortly. gregandjudi
A gnavy gseal up a tree, how odd.
Seeing he has travelled so far up the river, a further upstream swim will be good.

Sorry I have taken so long to find myself a new spot. I have really enjoyed exploring the flooded Riverland, but it has been a challenge swimming upstream to my new location in Mildura!
Have been back in Oz for less than a week and decided to download the GPX file for SA tonight after work in order to put the local caches back on my GPSr. When I saw this one so close to home I raced out to collect him, not realising that the race was over until I read the log note! I love the effort that has gone into this little guy - he is just gorgeous!

I have been moved to a really neat spot in view of the River Murray, which is certainly higher than when mundoo was here last time. mundoo was concerned about the potential flooding of this area and saw the absence of caravans in the caravan park and them further up on higher ground that the council are expecting this area to flood more.
If the area floods I am high enough up that I shouldn't get my feet wet (why am I worried about a bit of water? I have scuba gear on afterall!) but low enough that no-one has to climb.

Picked up on my way to Mootatunga and wondering how much water there will be in the Mallee country.

We had a nice day out visiting the Cooroong, with 3 ferry rides.
Gnavy Gseal wanted to dive into the water all the time.
Eventually I got sick of the whining and put him out where he could get a good view of some water. It's the Murray River, and it's got a lot of water in it so he should be happy.

I would have thought this dude would have been closer to the sea than where I found him.
I has been closer to the sea picking up another gnomal traveller, and decided I would hot foot it the 500m to grab this guy when Ingrid looked like she would be some time photographing coastal sights. (She had the car keys.)
The walk was pleasant enough but the batteery of the Nokia phone I use with external GPS was running flat. I've been a bit skeptical about the iPhone's ability whenclose to a cache so I basically used geosense once I had a likely location.
Luckily I was in tune today.
I'll fill the bath and let Gnavy Gseal loose in it tonight, ready for a new adventure tomorrow.

Found it after some dubious co-ords, but emailing the hider had the gnome in hand in seconds.
Found a nice spot in Hahndorf. Previously occupied by a J_&_J gnome.
Eluded the riders, joggers and walkers to locate Gnavy Gseal in his hiding spot. Will drop him off in the Hills some time soon!
Moved to a place of recent floods, he is hiding within the junk caught up in the Tree facing the opposite bank watching cyclists ride by.
Careful you don't fall in retrieving him!
Long arms and bending around the branches will help you reach him.

Finally back out, although with all the rain during the week I was worried about potential spots seeing it washed away.
Found a nice stable spot in the lovely setting of the Duck Pond at West Lakes. Was going to try one of the streams, but the water levels low except in the main lake where he ended up.
Bring a bag as he'll be wet, but don't worry you cant get wet here.

Cheers

Took a walk in the Midday heat to find the GNavy GSeal enjoying the coolness of the pond. But with the humidity around even when I grabbed him he was still going to remain wet. Thankfully his oxygen tanks are still quite full so he'll survive okay within the plastic bag I carried him back into work in to leave in the locker until tonight.

I brought Gnavy Gseal along to work but he soon scarpered over the fence and made for the nearest body of water!
Hooray! Thanks to Cam the Camo Gnome, Gnavy Gseal has been rescued! A third visit finally picked up a faint signal from his rescue beacon. He was found face down in the water but was soon brought back to life!
He's a tough little son-of-a-gnome and has recovered well. The only challenge will be getting him "back on the horse" or back in the water soon!

Tried to find this one about 9pm but no luck.
Surely would be easier at day time but maybe this one is just not easy at all

Sorry Trig-a-nomics and anybody else.
Once I placed the little fella the other night I some how didn't update the coords correctly.

Another DNF here for the crack Gnavy Gseal Grescue team. This time we had good light but were still unable to locate the Grescue Gbeacon. Can we have another clue please?

I arrived too late at sunset which meant fishing about in the near dark which is no way for a crack Gnavy Gseal Gretrieval team to behave. I'll come back and have another crack soon!
