Description
Hopes Gnome is a dog Freindly Cache
I Have called this one Hopes Gnome because one day that i had it stitting on the back lawn i found Hope (The GeoDoggy) curled up with the Gnome laying beside her.
I want this litte fellow to travle far & wide & as quick as he can.
Your challenge is to locate this cache, collect it, & run away as fast as you can fill in your log and rehide it somewhere else, as far away as possible, and as quickly as possible (Well within Two Days). When you find it please log him as found so as others don't keep looking for him when he is not were he was and move it along, please rehide it safely, but provide a detailed hint in your "moved" log so that he can easily found next time.
Please feel free to log this cache as often as you wish, as long as you are having fun finding and rehiding it. Of course, you should wait until two other people have hidden it before you can log it as a find again.
There are some simple guidelines:
- When you grab the cache please rehide it within 2 days to keep the cache moving.
- Please rehide the cache as far away from where you found it as possible. The further the better!
- Log your find at Geoaching Australia as soon as you can so others are not trying to find the cache you just moved.
- When logging your find at geocaching.com.au, please insert the co-ordinates in the coords box.
This allows the software to automatically update the new location.
Enter your co-ordinates in the format Sdd mm.mmm Eddd mm.mmm. (I.e. S38 21.335 E144 56.729)
Try a copy and paste of the example co-ordinates into the new co-ordinates box and type over them. - Hope's Gnome can travel as far & wide as he want's even overseas just don't leave him sitting fo to long.
- Wherever possible update the difficulty / terrain rating.
Of course the best fun about one of these caches is that you don't have to worry about being spotted retrieving the cache. Feel free to be as obvious as you need to be in order to claim it.
Then Run away as fast as you can.

This cache looks like it's MIA so to stop it turning up in the search lists we'll archive it. If the owner can confirm it's in place they can reactive the listing by placing an unarchived log against the cache.
I emailed Tanso and asked if they could remember where they were placed.

Got to GZ, had a look around. Hard to tell if there - the obvious places have *a lot* of dumpers come by. Which is sad.

Saw this one at the trivia event today. Left it for someone else to move on. Great to see it alive and kicking.
#GA204 - 09:30; I had an idea about where little Hopes Gnome might be, so a quick email and a prompt response saw him make his grand appearance at the Spring Time Trivia Time - 2014 Event. Out of hibernation, he will be back on the move soon! TFTC Rigger64

Well, after two years, this appeared at the Spring Time Trivia Time event in Canberra. I logged it in the hands of luckyL10n for the benefit of the Cerberus Clan in DragonZone - thank you for letting me log them. Very cool. Hope this continues to travel soon. TFTC!

Was walking along tuggeranong hill this morning, when i saw something that looked like..a gnome. Came closer, tried to lift him up ..wait a second?!!?!?!?
I havent seen this guy since...this time in 2012.
I cant remember where i hid him (apparently i forgot to log him, which makes me look bad right about now DOH!), but i dont remember seeing him here before.
I'll try and bring him along to the event tonight or something. Must get rid of this guy. Before i break my back or something.

I stopped here to check on these today even though I have been told the previous finder took them and put them somewhere unknown. It may be best to follow them up or set them to archived. Thanks

Found in the boot of a shadowy saloon car late in the evening. Left in said boot.
574. Firstly one hopes not to get a hernia picking him up as he's one of the heaviest I've handled. And hope the shears don't slip with how he's holding the shears else we may have the proverbial rooster to a chicken scenario happening.

Finally found a quiet time to visit the start of the Curse of the three gnomes and log the ones I had'nt found previously.
Hopes Gnome at least has company while he remains stagnant at this spot.

Lugged him to a cursed location to bring some hope to the other cursed gnomes here.
A great hide from featherwaite in a beautiful location. Spent half an hour looking at the gravestones before heaving him away.
Dropped off in the dead centre of Lobethal.
Retreived Hopes Gnome from his hiding spot under the huge fallen tree. Looks like he's been here a while! Will move him on to a new spot soon.
Found on a cold wet day, hidden on another cold wet day. Hope the next finder has better weather!

Only joined GCA today after being a member of the .com for a few months, and was surprised to find a gnome at literally the bottom of my street. My geodaughter found this hidden cach hilarious and has taken a liking to hope's gnome. We have a lovely friendly dog to keep it company too.
I am assuming that even though the race has finished the caches keep moving???

Moved on quickly - after finding toilet locked near where we found this, we tootled down Coromandel Valley to another one.
So the visit this guy had with us was probably 30 mins.
Not that there is anything wrong with this little guy, we just thought we'd let him have his freedom.

I came to this spot because Ingrid wanted a toilet and my iPhone app said there was one in the park.
While I waited Nicole and I looked for a cache and found 2 (TWO) gnomes lying next to the cache.

A short walk to find this gnome who is having a sleep. The cache container has lost its lid so I have put plastic and a rubber band around it. If anyone has a berocca container lid could you please take it to the cache.
On my way home. Thought this would be a nice spot for my friend to visit.

We moved this one to a close to home location but it did'nt like the spot we put it in so it went with another cacher before the dust had settled. Happy trails
We heard a fellow calling out to us from a bush. We had to get closer and he ran to our car and got in.He locked the doors and insisted that we give him the keys. We would not budge.I think some one has given him concrete boots so we will not let him get near the River. We promise.

WOW, What a hefty Gnome!
Lid & Log sheet was missing so I have fashioned a lid out of what I have but it is NOT sufficient.
Hoping the next person can do a better job with the lid than me.
Waterproof paper for a log sheet now so I hope it will last.

Found this poor little fellow ... covered in mud, log missing and no lid to his container. I think some muggles had given this guy some grief, but thankfully he is intact. Will give him a new log and send on his way.
After a nice drive with a couple of other gnomes, I went for a stroll along this nice creek path. Liked it so much I decided to stay for a while. Found a nice big willow tree that I climbed up into to watch the world go by.
Picked up this gnome yesterday but only had access to the net this morning.
Actually, he was almost left there. Arrived at GZ at the same time as some other walkers and soon became muggle central. Tried to surreptitiously poke around the bushes and managed to crush a few leaves that gave off a really strong scent that attracked the muggles. They started to move off a bit when a park ranger arrived so they all went back to GZ to look at the plant. They finally moved away, but only a little bit. Mrs TiedyeSmileys said the famous words 'Let's go' as we didn't look like we would have the place to ourselves. Mr TiedyeSmileys did one last wild poke in the bushes on the way out and bingo, there was a face looking back.
This guy must be big boned as he certainly packed a few kilos more than he looks.
He will come on little road trip with us and be dropped off on Tuesday.

Moved him to a more central, drive by location so he can be picked up and moved on quickly.
DON'T try to access him from Sth Gippy Highway - use the service lane that runs between Browns Rd and Fisheries Rd.

Accuracy of 10m at the time of hide due to weather and tree cover, google maps looks fairly close though
