Description
Welcome to the GeGnome Project
The game runs from 01-Dec-2010 00:00:00 to 31-Jan-2011 23:59:59
This is not a normal type of cache but "Firesafe Spade" is one of 4 Firesafe gnomes that would like to move around the country over December and January.
So if you find it, grab it, sign the log then move it on somewhere else and log the new cordinates so that someone else may find it and move it on.
Enjoy [:)]
Logs
As per last log, it's not at it's shown location and should be archived or disabled until its found out what happened to it
this gnome id efinately not where its listed. i looked just in case but the logs say it got taken to the gnome event and never got logged as moved so where it went after that event is anyones guess. it should be archived or diabled to stop showing up on search lists

Today there was a gathering of gnomes and cachers. Great stories were told and many gnomes made new friends. We met this one while he was passing through!

Hopfully he just hasnt been log in yet

Hmmm, 3rd dnf for the night, all in the same area. Is it possible someone beat me to it? As I am fairly certain I found the hole, but alas it was empty. Will keep an eye on this one to watch where it pops up.
Logging as a note so doesnt confuse the "move status"
We had stayed at Rosebud for a week and decided to come home to Melbourne via Tuerong to grab these Gnomes, but they had already been grabbed. Had the Gnome co-ords in the GPS when trying to find the GC cache there - very funny - turned out ok in the end lol

I picked up 6 gnomes in my trip to South Australia last week and here they ALL are! Welcome to The Empire's stash! 6 gnomes are hard to pass up - come and get them all! They are under the pine needles on the side of the road, you can't miss them!

On it's way to Victoria over the next couple of days. I think this turns out to be GCA find number 200 for me (it's really 197 but the laziness of my logging means this is it.). I'd like to thank all the gnomes that have gotten me to this milestone when I think it wasn't long ago I was chalking up the 100 milestone!

Finally got around to logging this guy after Froghoppin hid him in my front yard.... He's now on his way interstate!!

We dropped him off to protect a garden not too far away. I think he will get a beer if he does a good job. We put in a good word for him.
This little fellow was busily putting out spot fires what a good little Gnome we decided to take him home after a hard days work for a ice cold beer.

Moved a little closer to the city to watch the traffic go by
Was on a caching raid in Goolwa and found this fellow accidentally. But I recognised him so I'll give him a few more kilometres. Had to drag him away from bird-watching - I think he was only there for a little while.
I stopped on my way home to grab a cache - the first one for me on a December 24th - and while I was getting it this little bugga hopped out of my car and ran away. He's ALMOST as sneaky as his owner!
I think you'll find him near GC2FD70 "Hide and Seek. (Note - the coords I've put here are off a little because I wanted to keep it from showing on top of Hide & Seek - so it's really at S 35° 31.224 E 138° 47.233.)

Sure was a surprise to find this boy, with his smelly mate, sleeping right at the gate to the property where I live.
I now have 4 gnomes in my car, and they have shovels and spades so I might set them to work for a few hours before releasing them.
I AM THE EVIL GNOME_OVERLORD! Hahahahaha
Ooops, did I say that out loud? LOL

I was riding along with mundoo and suddenly we stopped and I was joined by a very fishy smelling Acetone gnome who couldn't wait to get away from the rotten fish at his previous location. After meeting up with Acetone Gnome we decided to join forces and see if we could be a surprise.
We are tucked up nice and secure and lurking out of sight.

Gee has this gnome been busy!! He had dug himself deep into a hole (did he dig or was he pushed?) and I nearly needed his spade to get him out again. After liberating him from his hiding spot we looked at the views and you gknow on a clear day you can gnearly see for ever (or at least my home location far far in the distance)

there is a lovely view so can someone please take a photo
Thought it was strange that the last few cacher's to come looking in this park didn't grab this little fellow.
Had a good look this morning while placing another Gnome and I came up empty handed, could see the geotracks of other people but no Gnome.

Sorry searchers. I've no idea what happened as I logged this from my phone to try to give searchers a good chance. It Ended up very different from the intended.

Left this little fella in a cozy spot. Not under the rubbish. Approach from the south will be easier
Picked this one up after driving all the way around the block trying to figure out the best way in after dark. Eventually walked in but it was a bit spooky. We aim to leave spade some distance away very soon.
Only found this one because I looked up the hint for the cache ... otherwise I would have left empty handed, especially with the rain... and the kids mucking around near the road. Signed the cache too. 2nd of three gnomes for the night. TFTG

Moved Firesafe Spade to a nice little hidy hole this morning (for GC users it temporarily resides in 'Brigin' (GC1W026))
Got an anonymous tip - thanks MtnLioness and picked up Firesafe Spade from 'Post Office Place'. I'll find him a new home tomorrow morning...
Found in a Hole that a TONNE of flies flew out of that made me think there was something dead in there.
I rode past 5 Garage Sales to get this!
That takes dedication!!

Came home and is resting in the shade of an old gum tree.
Will probably not be able to sleep in as the cockatoos in the tree closest to the road are often making lots of noise in the morning (and occassionally during the night).
Cheers

A quick log to indicate I've picked it up.
Although I'm confused as it was carrying a spade

Spade was so impressed by the handiwork of the local hooligans he volunteered to stay behind and smack them over the head when they visited again.
Retrieve with caution or you might get a spade in the face!

Unlike Sledge, Spade was perched on a cache I hadn't logged before. True night-time caching! This meant I missed out on the views but got some awesome glimpses of the night-time sky displaying the stars.
Spade was soon in hand and will be off and away again soon.
