Description
Welcome to the GeGnome Project
The game runs from 01-Dec-2010 00:00:00 to 31-Jan-2011 23:59:59
This is not a normal type of cache but "Firesafe Sledge" is one of 4 Firesafe gnomes that would like to move around the country over December and January.
So if you find it, grab it, sign the log then move it on somewhere else and log the new cordinates so that someone else may find it and move it on.
Enjoy [:)]

Logs
This cache looks to be MIA. To save it turning up on the lists we'll archive it. If it's resurrected the owner can activate it by placing an "Unarchived" log against it.
Thanks to Team Widdy for this location, yes a terrain rating of 3 seemed more like it and yes we were a little bit ANHTUGL in getting to a short sharp walk. Will move on soon.

Sledge hasn't moved far from his last post and you will need to be a little bit naughty to get close to the beginning of the short sharp walk.
Great little spot, took the boys a few minutes to find Sledge under the log after standing on a nearby mound for a while.

Sledge has moved to a spot with a good vantage point for looking out for fires.
Found Sledge still tucked away inside his mia mia so decided to move him on his way.
Firesafe Sledge has moved and has built himself a discrete Mia Mia to hide in, but has wonderful lake side views. While your searching may be you might like to include the other caches nearby. The paths around the lakes and riverside make for a pleasant afternoons walk, and the bird life is fantastic. There is a coffee shop nearby that does a good brew and also Tranby House. Enjoy! Be careful though, these paths are well traversed by muggles and their dogs.
Grabbed this little gnome while doing the series in Mundaring. But thats another story. Have an idea where I could move this one on.. Will try and do it in the next couple of days. TFTH
Hid this little chappie close by the parking spot for the Mundaring series of CPS caches. He seems quite snug in his new home.
While doing #2 cache of a 34 GC series found this little chappie perched on its lid acting as a very fine security guard. Relieved him of his post to move on to further duties. Hope to find his new job soon.

Out caching down towards Rockingham and Mandurah today decided to take this little guy for a ride down there.
Found a lovely spot next to a GC cache for him to visit.
Hope he doesn't stay there too long.
These gnomes are so cute aren't they (why would they want a different race this year)

Well we missed you last time you were nearby Mr Sledge.
Got you this time. Will move you on today. Maybe on to a location
near a very busy new series, so that you will be able to move along again soon?

Found this friendly fellow whilst on the CPS trail in Roleystone.
I have heard lots about gnomes but ashamed to say this is the first one
I have seen in the flesh!!
Do gnomes have flesh? Anyway I will move on to a location where I just know
he will be well looked after.
Found him just a little off from the co-ord given. (we had him at
S32' 8.2527 E116' 5.926)
Left him enjoying his life near the Golf Course.
Great area, a few local roos on the move in the area,

I placed this a few days ago but couldn't work out the coordinates I had written down so came out today after doing another cache in this area and checked where I had placed the gnome so now I can officially move him.
Picked up and will move on soon. Enjoyed a walking new bit of this park by coming in a different way than usual.
The little Sledge fella is now on fire watch in the Bungendore Park. There could be other treasures nearby, enjoy a walk in the bush.
You could park at S32 10.949 E116 03.164

My daughter was competing in the State Dressage Championships at the State Equestrian Centre so I hitched a ride and took the opportunity to collect some of Outenabout’s caches in the area between dressage events.
Found Sledge looking a little bit lonely so I pick him up. He said the roo ticks were becoming a tad bothersome.

I set out to find a few caches in the area, intending to drop Sledge off somewhere along the way. It was only after I completed 4 caches including a 7-point multi and was on my way back to the car that I remembered Sledge was hiding quietly in my backpack! D'oh!!
So, I managed to find a nice little spot on the hill for him to hang out for a while.

He was a very good little gnome and kept nice and quiet during the flight. He is well rested - has a new log book and a cork stuck in an uncomfortable place to keep the logbook dry He is ready to start exploring WA.
At last we have found a gnome - we seem to keep missing them and as we are here on holidays internet access isn't that regular so we have missed logs. Anyway we were very pleased to find 2 trads and this gnome quite close together all in a wonderful location. The gnome does not have a log, or a cap on its container but we will remedy that before we relocate him. (He's a nice small gnome as well so he should easily squeeze into our luggage). TFTH
The little fella is back out again. We went to find two cachers in a lovely wooded area with great views and he decided to stay and watch over the BBQ in the area.
Found him hiding in amongst the recently cut grass and cleared bracken. He was glad of a little bit of warmth in the car after the last few nights under the cold cement.
OldSaint took me for a ride
Under cement
Me, he did hide.

Got nabbed by Landlockedsailor while hiding this nearby to their camp at Franklin. (See photos.) So decided to move it to another site. Told them about the locationless cache "Spotto!". Cheers OldSaint.
Found this little blighter at 1444hrs. Have him in the car and will put him back out tomorrow. See photos from whence I was taken and am now in Huonville. TFTC and cheers; OldSaint.
There is a fire station at the end of the road that is blocked off. Lenah valley volunteers I believe.
Found you my pretty. I will try and find a hiding place for you.

wow Firesafe Sledge didnt appear to reduce the fire hazard on that property! ... The job must have been too big so maybe we can find him somewhere a little less daunting
Firesafe Sledge and his buddies have come to work on the garden.
Firesafe sledge should be under the only table in the park approx 25 m from the side entrance to the fire station. The table has a frame that firesafe is laying on....
Fire, Fire, gnome called fire
You restless wanderer of fame
Fire, fire, searching fire
Now in Wesley Vale for the game.
Sorry Mark Slaughter of Fire fame....
Firesafe sledge is naturally next to a fire station....

Found Firesafe near a BBQ that does not work due to flood damage. How firesafe can a gnome be if they cannot cook a snag on the barbie?... Firesafe was safe in the picnic shelter but didn't like the mud....so he is on the loose.
This gnome has taken shelter near the Don river. GPS was a little jumpy so hint is very specific
Picked him up with Harry on a visit to my geo-parents

Now that the rain has stopped, time to hit the road again.
Jumped out from the tree and asked to be moved on as he had heard this area is prone to flooding.
Firesafe Sledge has gone on a journey by car and by boat and has made it to Tasmania! We left him in a special place as we visited a nearby GC cache that is in the historic town of Westbury - this is special as our teams surname is Westbury! Sledge is sitting next to the cache by the river. Enjoy your southern adventure.
Found with a whole heap of other gnomes at the event today
Picked up at the Beach Dwellers event after it was handed around amongst the GeGnome hunters who were still in Adelaide. Sledge enjoyed catching up with some of his fellow Gnomes, tiny, medium sized, broken, camouflaged, and many others.
We are heading to the Apple Isle at the end of next week, so it can be time to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride - not as far as the US (he's jealous); but a change of scenery anyway TFTG

Took Sledge with me on an unsuccessful hunt. He liked the river so much he thought he'd stay!
Searched the wrong ficus for ages before a wolf whistle set me right. He's still having problems with his nether regions. Perhaps he needs to visit a tailor!
Dropped off on my way to work this morning.
Found amongst an aggregation of gnomes in Hahndorf. Sorry to split the party up but they'll be going their separate ways tomorrow.
Sledge is visiting Santa, who is getting mighty sick of just hanging around the top end of Hahndorf. Cammo Gnome turned up as well, so there's a real gnome party going on here!
I had to move the trio a meter to the right as the ground cover is dying off, leaving the gnomes exposed.

This little feller took a while to spot. I assumed he was going to be slightly larger than he actually is. We found him in a spot that we've always thought needed a cache, but with all the rubber-neckers checking out what we were doing I'm glad the cache is a moveable!
Sledge will travel to Hahndorf with me later today, where I'll release him either tonight or tomorrow afternoon.
Thanks Firesafe.

Nice spot at the entrance to North Beach. Good luck on your travels.
Found Mr Sledge a nice sleeping place in a different part of the city. Btw does Mr Sledge have some singing sisters?
Left to work a little earlier for a quick gnome moving excercise -after all I am a Gnomad :p
To my surprise I found two gnomes!

Like Bear (Man vs Wild) it is sometimes safer to sleep up in the tree, esp if you can construct a bed of straw. Smart gnome.
One of three gnomes for the night. The sun was still up and some light rain for this find. TFTG.

Dropped the little guy off in a little home, near some friends of his owner.
Snuck up on this little bloke, nearly drove right by him... Found him hiding from all the muggles under the boardwalk
Will move him on once I finish work tonight...

Sledge was impressed by the gathering storm and stopped off to shelter here.
The views are pretty impressive too! He thought he might be able to help out with a little demolition work, so you'd better grab him before he wrecks the place!

Gotcha! After spending too much time writing up my gnomic descriptions I thought I'd have a midnight FTF run. Sledge is oozing a bit from his nether regions but hopefully that sort of thing clears up shortly!
All Ready to go - pathtag for first to grab plus you can log a dual listed GC/ GCA cache as well
