Description
Marley is a movable cache competing in the GCA Leap Frog geocaching game commencing 1/12/2011.
Frog Marley (Litoria rastaformis) is a rare and secretive creature. It is commonly found in trees, bushes and even on the ground in most habitats. It is not fussy and really just enjoys hanging about with some weed for company.
It has a number of distinctive calls that always take the form of bouncy, happy melodies:
"Croak it Up"
"Polliwog Soldier"
"No ribbit No cry"
"I shot the tadpole"
"Is this frog?"
If you manage to locate this shy animal, please re-hide in a peaceful place !
Rules (not guidelines)
- Your cache must be a genuine, bone fide frog.
- Your frog may be store bought or hand crafted.
- Caches for the competition must be published on 1 December 2011 Australian Eastern Time (GCA Time)
Geocaching Australia has the facility to automatically publish your cache on 1 December 2011
Please refer to the Geocaching Australia wiki for more information - You are welcome to join the game after it has started provided you list the hidden date and published date as 1 December 2011 and add the word leapfrog to your cache tags
The later you enter your frog the less time there is to get it moving, so you are encouraged to enter the game at the commencement - You are required to add the word leapfrog to the tags on your entry at Geocaching Australia
You can add the word leapfrog to your tags by visiting your cache page and clicking on Tag in the Actions section in the right hand navigation section of your cache page - The game commences at 00:00:00 1 December 2011 AEDST and concludes 23:59:59 31 January 2012 AEDST
- The game administrators decision is final
- You can not find and move your own cache during the game period
- Caches must be found and hidden by the same cacher (i.e. no mailing the cache to another cacher to hide)
- There is no limit to the number of times other cachers can find / move the cache provided there are at least two other finds / moves in between
- If a cacher moves your cache overseas and it remains unfound overseas for 1 week or more, the same cacher may move your cache (within the country or to another country) without breaking the "2 moves" rule
- There is no limit to the distance other cachers can move the cache
- Other cachers in the game may find / move your cache, but they must move it on within 2 days

Logs
This cache appears to be MIA so to avoid it turning up in the search lists we'll archive it. If the geocache is resurrected the cache owner can reactive the listing by placing an unarchived log against it.
scooped up this one while grabbing fire truck. I was starting to worry that Froggy Marley was dead. Thanks for the cache
What we do to nab a moveable. Drive 1 hour then do circular route trying to work out how to access that is not through private properties, find likely spot then find still 1 klm away -oh well late for work today. Got a bagful though

I went looking for a whole bunch of GCA moveables, but couldn't find some of them - as it seems now, OldSaint had been through before me.
It's hard when there's no hint to know whether it's gone or I just can't find it.
I found this one after parking nearby and then clambering around the dirt mound until I spotted it.

Sorry for the delay but have been laid up with a work injury for about 6 weeks and haven't been abe to go caching. In a new home now
Talk about a working relationship? There's something froggy (-----)about this!! Cheers OldSaint.
Taken all the frogs and a couple of gnomes for a drive up the East Coast to Scamander. They'll all be here for a little while. Don't bother looking cuz Tim Tam is going to find them all....
Found on my way back from Launceston, picking up all the stray frogs on the Midland Highway. I stopped here this morning and found Stealthy McStealth but I hadn't included frogs that I had already found. This time though, I did and Frog Marley and a mate were found after I interrupted some muggle trying to sleep in his 4x4.
I'll take them all back to Hobart to get checked out by Tim Tam.
Thanks for the frog

This frog is now behind bars at a very good place for morning or afternoon teas, lunch even! If you haven't tried it, you should!
Hi red tag
Have found a few today including an FTF.
In fact 11 to date, this makes twelve.
Got to GZ and couldn't find a stump, so the search widened and Marley song(s) could be heard - found him at 1545hrs.
He can come with me for a game of golf at Huonville tomorrow - I need a goods caddie.
Happy Birthday for the 28th. Hope Freycinet went well.
Cheers OldSaint.

slightly off the beaten track. Watch for snakes as there are a few about today
On the way to find another frog when I was just about to step over Frog Marley but eagle eyes spotted something not right and I found a frog!!!
Found this frog and many others during a frog raid encompassing The Domain, Howrah, South Hobart and Mount Stuart.
In all, 47 frogs and a gnome were recovered and they will be placed out in the bush tomorrow. Maybe we'll take them to Cockle Creek, NO. Strathgordon or the old Hilton Hotel at Adamsfield! YES. They are good places.

Glad to see as frog blind this morning. Thanks TT.

Found another frog here, and thought it a nice spot.
I fear for Frog Marley. There has been some new landscaping and GZ no longer seems suitable as a frog home. Will email previous hider to check that I was in the right place.
GAH!! I put it out a few days ago but forgot to log online!!
After being introduced to some classic Aus Rock from AC/DC and INXS, this frog has returned to his reggae roots and gone to hide under a tree.
geo kid e, geo kid o and myself decide it was the boys turn to go for a frog hunt. We were successful though most of the north west and north a few days previously, so a trip south was in order to grab the frogs placed out by Makky Brown
Anyway here is my log signature
Da -Glumpf went the little Green frog one day

We all know frogs go "La de da de da"
They don't go glumpf glumpf glumpf

Forgot I had this frog....thought it was still in Swampy's NTrailTB. Put out before I head off to my wonderful night shift at work. If only the kms travelled in the car added to the frog mileage. Any way in crook of tree. Be warned geomummy can see you if she happens to be paying attention at the time
That is what I get for logging on my new phone that I am still learning to drive. But just so you know Swampy is fine and I am sure he appreciates your concern lol
Seeing TimTam found this frog after "Lynch"; I assume that Swampy may no longer be with us and that "Lunch" did not go that well! I wonder what Swampy had for his last meal? Maybe frog legs????
Cheers OldSaint.
Cheers OldSaint.
Sitting out with Touchwood under the letter box.
Got a visit from Budgie today, bearing frogs. I was right in the middle of putting Maxi Tune back together whilst keeping an eye on the counter. Took the frogs offered and put them out of sight until I could finish fixing the machine and serving the customers.
Will rehide them soon
Will rehide them soon
Found on an after expedition to find a few frogs. Two in tools a street, one near jabs house and a couple hidden by white webs in Howrah. Surprisingly I came home with 8 as jabs had few there as I called through to collect esconde from his letterbox. So a good night by all accounts!!!!

Ok this was a quick jump before hopping off again.
Frog Marley and two friends are now in the vicinity of the Essex St access to Gordons Hill (although Frog Marley is probably the most uncomfortable when it comes to sitting around ... as you'll see when you find him). Come and find three for the price of one visit to the sunny Eastern Shore.
Frog Marley finds the ducks decidedly ungroovy, and decides to head to hipper Hobart.
Frog Marley became fascinated watching hay baling but wanted to keep well away from teh ducks sunning themselves on a nearby dam. We found a safe hiding spot as we drove back to the North West.
Certainly a frog with attitude. He will liven up the North West. So, Frog Marley will be placed out within the next 48 hours. TFTF
Not sure this is the ideal spot for this frog. Peaceful most of the time, but traffic could be an issue. Probably needs to be hopped on.
Definite feelings of deja vu about this frog hunt. Couldn't help wondering whether the installation of the log book container is responsible for this frogs expression. I think OldSaint is about right!
Frog alert all you frog hunters out there, there has been a mass invasion of Southern frogs waiting to experience our beautiful country side and hopsitality. Lets all show them a good time and give them plenty to croak about - GO GET EM
You know this spot Nutwood!
You know this spot Nutwood!
Having a geofrog event. Five in the party
Marley has a friend with him. Should be a fairly easy find for most cachers so no hints on this one
Found this guy jauntily humming away. As I got closer I heard him singing "Don't ribbit, 'bout a ting, coz ev'ry liddle ting gonna be a' right"
As I found him he had a bad reaction to the work clothes and panicked a little, but its all fine now. Will get him out soon

Dude, what a reggae loving guy we have here! He's chillin' on the trip to his next digs...(groan huh)
Marley has his new home. It is in a very quiet part of town. In tree about shoulder height
Tim Tam fond this one whilst I was concentrating on the other across the road. We will have a sing-a-long on the way to a new home, mon....
Thanks redtag
Thanks redtag
Found in the first place I looked while Swampy was over the road looking for Twinkle Toad. Will move on ASAP
Dropped little Marley off across the road from where I couldn't find another frog.
Behind a brick at the base of a very big tree Cheers OldSaint
Hi red tag
I think this froggy shows heaps of imagination. A great frog cache with a very sore rear end (See pics), so I've given him a nick name, hope you don't mind (LOL).
Went to visit Budge and this hairy little critter was staring me in the face. Hence, a very quick find at 1430hrs. Signed the log and went a hunting another cache and then hid them both as quickly as possible.
Tried my phone to log both the find and the move, something I hadn't tried before and to my surprise it worked. Hence, my amendments to the original log.
Anyway, thanks for a top frog cache and cheers;

Well, I didn't leave him on the street, I handed him to Old Saint who popped into my office and found him on my desk.
He was sitting happily in the sun, but i
Fixed that. I thought he would be rather laid back, but he is a bit stuck up. Like somebody with a stick up there bum. Hmmm come to think of it, that could be the reason.
Thanks for the cool frog redtag.
