Hi, We have just sold the boat and I don't fancy a swim to replace the container . So , sadly we will have to archive the cache. Happy caching THENANKS

We will get to this sometime ( Hopefully not to far away ). If anyone is heading there, we would would give you a new cache container to replace the broken one. It is worth the trip. Cheers The Nanks

This little place was alive with birdlife today - as we beached we disturbed a flock of pelicans, shags, oyster catchers and terns who were enjoying the sun shine on the edge of the water. They didn't fly too far before they all settled on the water. Then as we neared the cache a colony of Leaden Flycatchers. They look like someone has held them unside down and dunked their heads up to their little shoulders in a can of grey paintTwisted This is only the second time I have ever seen them. Cool It would be good if someone can replace this cache for the owners. TFTC and the adventure with the bird life.[^]

Found with the Lat&Long Junkies on our day trip out with Barrie the Boatie muggle. L&LJ said it all with regards to the cache, but a nice spot to visit anyway.

Easy find after a cruise from nearby Peel Island. Cache is absolutely shot to hell. Needs replacing. Would have taken a replacement but the trip was a last minute thing and I didn't read the previous logs. A stunningly beautiful place that needs a cache, that's for sure.

Sadly the cache container lid is broken it was full of water. Dried out as best we could but everything log is soaking wet and unusable. Didn't have our emergency cache kit with us this time I'm afraid so this cache will need a bit of TLC next time someone is passing.

Lovely spot and a big suprise to see a lot of coral around the island. If fact we took a chunk out of our prop when we hit a bommie not realising it was there as we approached the island. We then decided to take the advice in the description and moor up on the sand and walk across to the cache. Found it soon enough as coords spot on but it was soaking wet inside. Enjoyed the trip here. TFTC.

Out and about with Mrs Happyharries to grab a couple of the bayside "water" caches.

How good can life be... Out on our beautiful Moreton Bay, perfect weather, good friends and to top it off we're geocaching as well !!! Big GrinBig Grin

Last cache on our "aqua" hit list today. Gz was found without any troubles but unfortunately the cache is in need of some maintenance. It was totally water logged. Being out in Mrs Happyharries tinnie, we did not have a cache replacement at hand so we could not do much with it except empty it out.

Thanks for the hunt The Nanks
Cheers

What a perfect day out on the bay.Mrs K-six and Mrs Happyharry set out from Cleavland to nab a few of the northern Morton Bay island caches.
Our first stop in the tinnie was Peel Island. I wish we had a little more time to spend on the island the beach and weather were perfect.
After the 3 caches on Peel Island we set off to goat island for our final cache of the day.
The cache was located easily however the cache container is broken and full of water. I did the best I could to drain the cache. Unfortunately I didn't have a replacement with me.
Thanks for bringing us to this peaceful spot TFTC

I will leave a little note regarding the goat we witnessed today.
When arriving back at Cleavland boat ramp Mrs K-six and myself noticed a large black something in the water not far off the end of the ramp and a red faced male holding onto a rope on the boat ramp.We soon realized it was the males new car sinking just off the end of the ramp.A bystander managed to drag his car out of the drink with his 4x4 for him. Then we noticed the trailer on the back of the car.Yes that's right he had driven car first down the ramp and into the water.I hope he has a good car insurance policy.

We went out for a day on the bay with a mate and his young daughter to do some catching and some cacheing. This was our first for the day and the two geokids were already complaining about the hurried walk from Bird Is as the tide was coming in and we didn't want to waste any time. We eventually got to GZ after going the long way around under the direction of one of the Geokids who insisted on holding the GPS. We did a bit of "weed bashing" to get back to the right spot. A few scratched legs but no real harm done. Took: A glue stick. Left: A ball and a padlock. TFTC.

A great day-no wind, bay like a mirror, so we thought we should go for a quick paddle and investigate this Cache.
Starting off in Raby Bay , as most Bay trips do and heading over to Peel and beyond, we were constantly past by the many power and sail craft who also thought that today was a perfect day to be out.
Found the cache easy enough, all in good order.
For the info of future 'kayaker" types -best spot to land is on the NE corner.

After a couple of bike rides this week I had decided a kayak trip out on the bay was in order. The boat was loaded on the car and the weather and tides were going to be ideal Smile
All I needed was a cache to go and find Smile
Just before bedtime up popped a new cache in the middle of the bay [:o]
Set off from Raby Bay and headed out across the briney blue to Peel Island. The sun was shining and a light cooling breeze was ruffling the water's surface Big Grin
Ahhh! Perfect [^]
After meandering through the numerous vessels moored in Horseshoe Bay a slight course change to starboard bought Goat Island into sight. There's not much to see of this island from a couple of miles away and the easiest way to locate it is to look for where the Stradbroke Island ferry disappears for a few seconds Big Grin
Arriving at the high tide meant I could float across all those nasty jagged rocks and run up onto the narrow beach. When I looked at the GPS and zoomed in I found I had run aground only 20m from GZ. The cache was soon in hand after that Big Grin
Left some stickers and grabbed the Pop'r lure as a souvenir of my visit Smile
Thanks for the idea for the days island destination. 'Tis indeed a great time of year to be out on the bay Big Grin
