Logs
Looks like the last wet season finally took its toll on Donkey Camp and I'm no longer living in the area to replace it, another one bites the dust.
This cache either needs the owner to confirm it is still there or to archive it as the cache has had only DNF's since Oct 2010.
Spent around an hour searching before conceding to a DNF, have actually tried this one before with no luck but decided to give it one more go before abandoning it, especially as it has not been found for going on for two years now. Maybe the owner should enlighten us as to whether or not it is still there.
I knew this was always going to be a difficult find after reading the first log after the wet season for the last few years and the fact that the last couple of people also logged a DNF. Searched around for about half an hour poking at every tree and every leaf within a 10m radius of the GZ but no luck. I guess this one will stay unfound until next time I visit the area.
Dropped in on our way back from the gorge thinking we could grab this one quickly but alas we searched the area around GZ but came up empty handed. By this time we had been drenched once and in the distance could see another storm about to hit us so we high tailed it back to the car just in the nick of time. Maybe we'll give it another shot later. We did however spot a donkey on our way out LOL.

I really enjoyed this hide. I haven't seen one like this before and it took me a few minutes to spot it. It also provided a reminder about green ants and signing logs under trees. Something I haven't had to worry about since my visit last year. TFTC CHEDENT. [730]
You Can't See Me - or this one, either... Someone spent a bit of time sewing those pyjamas! Had us fooled for a few minutes. Great cammo. TFTC.
The river was very peaceful. The cammo was excellent. Thanks for taking us there.
We missed the track and so decided to do the other nearby cache first. On closer inspection we found where we should have turned and proceeded slowly to the spot where we could park the car. We were fortunate to spot the cleverly hidden cache without too much problem. Thanks CHEDENT
We had to look around a bit to find our way into this one, but once we were on the track, it wasn't long before we were looking arond for this clever hide. With six pairs of eyes looking, it wasn't long before the veteran Bruce spotted it and we are able to log it. TNLN. Thanks for showing us another part of Katherine CHEDENT.
clever hide, took a bit of time
On the way back to the car I almost stepped on a snake on the pathway, the dry season is not cold enough it would seem!

Found by us old donkeys after saying hello to a donkey in the paddock on the way to the park spot. TFTC
I think I might have taken the wrong gate because I ended up a 'residents only' area. Never the less, I just parked as though I was supposed to be there and was able to access the cache easily from this location. Very clever hide. TFTC!
Finding the right location to park was difficult because the signpost was too small to read from the road while driving..went to the wrong gate but luckily there was a ute driving past us and told us that it was the next gate. Found the park okay and it took a while before Mr Bushies2 found it, a very clever cache however the logbook was soaked and pencil rotting away so we replaced it with a new logbook, small plastic clip lock and new pencil. Thanks Chedent for the brilliant cache.
Always being aware that there might be crocodiles as a sign near the entrance said, we searched around the GZ without finding anything. But then, when we nearly wanted to give up, we found this tricky hidden box. Lucky not to meet any crocodiles, we logged and left.

On our way back from the Katherine Gorge we stopped here for the cache. Searching took us a while and just after deciding to go back to the car we found it together with VP244. Very clever hide which gave us the idea to hide a similar one when we are back in Germany

Went to a lot of trouble to look for this one and came away disappointed. It was just too hot for a prolonged search.
Seem to be following our friends NTBBBB to every cache. Hehe.

Bit of a devious hide this one. Geowife can claim the glory with her Garmin Nuvi it is much more accurate than the Etrex when conditions are not crash hot.
Thanks CHEDENT

Nice hide. Starting to get the hang of what I'm looking for now. Nice and dry down there. Pencil needs sharpening, sorry I had nothing with me to do it. Better get a geomobile tool kit together I think
Big number 10 found...woohoo!!

My that must have been interesting when it was wet for those other cachers. Went to the museum today and saw how high it can get.
Nice hide, still a bit of water around, plenty of mozzies and spiders around.
Log is a little damp, should dry out over dry season

It seems this one is easier to find when you're not waist deep in water [:p]
Quite cleverly disguised. Another great cache hide!

Planned on finding "Donkey Camp" today. We arrived to find a LOT of water HAHA
Perhaps we should visit in the dry season

Found on a geocaching holiday spanning from Darwin to Uluru in December 2008 Found with GGG along for support, though in a mix-up he forgot to sign the logbook. Will post verification photos in lieu soon. TNLN, Thanks for the cache too.
Found the cache at 2.05pm. Excellent one. SL. Thanks CHEDENT for organising the cache and hunt.
yep....took a while. About 15 minutes all up.
GPS wouldn't settle, so I just started in the general area it got me to and eventually came up trumps.
Another well constructed and hidden cache. Well done.
Took nothing, left a pathtag and TFTC.
Cheers,

Finally bagged this one... another one i am embarrassed to have had to visit a number of times when it was that easy! Had to rely on a clue from chedent which helped emmensly but i really should have not needed it. TFTC and thanks for occupying many afternoons in the hunt for this little one.
BTW dead kangaroo near gz isn't so smelly anymore, but just don't go playing around with the pink doona. The cache is not under it!

Didn't find it. Searched through the Camouflage of leaves but still no film canister. We looked for ages. All we found was maggotted animal remains wrapped in a purple quilt cover buried nearby. Thank goodness it didn't smell too badly.
Has anyone checked this cache recently?

On our way back from 'Flutterby George'dropped in to check on cache, found to be still hangin' in there.
Took us a little while to find this one. TNLNSL. The pencil needs sharpening - visitors might like to take their own. Unfortunately we dropped the silver leaf on the ground at GZ and couldn't find it - a challenge for someone else perhaps! TFTC.
Thinking this would be an easy milo container, not reading the description untill out at site, was cursing for not getting here earlier to give this a try. As light turned to dark decided that it was best to return during the day. Will be back! Cheers, i've learn my lesson... always study up on caches!
For those who have done Donkey Camp and for those yet to do Donkey Camp, you will be pleased to know Donkey Camp went under during the flood threat but survived , although now a little better camouflaged than before ,
Micros in rural environments should be banned!!! This one took me half an hour with so many hiding places and a tree canopy hampering me getting a reliable fixed GZ. The best average had me about 7 metres from the caches true location. Oh well...they all can't be easy I guess[B)]

Finding the road in was my biggest challenge and then the thought of coming up with yet another excuse should it be needed made a cautious cacher (unusual for me). Caught up with the CHEDENTs who put me on the right "track" - need to pay close attention to the sign . GZ found with nice finishing camo touches provided by Mrs CHEDENT . The first sign of greenants all weekend - how nice is caching without them [^]. T:Nil L:pins. Thanks CHEDENT
On our holidays, partly travelling in a Britz campervan through the upper half of the Northern Territory, we tried to log as many of the caches on the way. With the use of a PDA with iGo and the caches loaded as POIs, driving to the cache locations has become quite easy. In total, we visited 61 cache sites and of all these sites, we found 41 caches. Certainly not a perfect score, but we usually enjoyed the location the owner of the cache has chosen. Geocaching brought us to the usual popular tourist locations, but also on some places that we would have otherwise never stopped or driven through.
This log-entry is the twenty-seventh cache on our tour.
We had a little bit of problem finding the road to the parking, but once we were there, it was only a short walk to the GZ. But once at the GZ we did not have much luck finding the cache. The accuracy of the GPS was not optimal at the time and location. So we couldn’t narrow it further down then a couple of trees. With no hints available we have to log this one as a “Did not findâ€

Nice spot didn't take to long to find this one, good spot. Tempted to go for swim but decided against it.
Rated: for Overall Experience
Found it after a bit of search, the carmo is quite fine. Without the lots of green ants (I hate this animals!!!) it would a quite loveley place.

An appropriately named cache. I actually slacked off on this one, and while others searched dutifully, I collected pretty gum nuts. Signed the log, laughed at the green ants, thanked you for the cache.
Found only after finding the right road easy drive and easy walk to GZ found quickly. With six eyes looking it should be quick. Thanks again chedent for the cache TNLN SL

Interesting and vast landscape down here. At first I looked at the wrong "level" but finally got the right idea.
