didn't know what the letters mean?

28-Apr-24
On the way past today and i was able to fix WP1( with the permission of the CO) so for now and hopefully for a long time it is visible . You can still see the faded info just near the new one. Great to keep this fun multi alive. THanks Ksix fot allowing me .

26-Apr-24
I have been here a couple of times. The first i came during a football game that my husband helps with and i found WP1. With the faded info i could not be sure of all of what i could see. I ended up asking for help and i was able to get the final coordinates and with that i was able to figure out the code, very clever . i came back today nice and early and the coast was clear. I had a pretty good idea of what i was looking for but wow that was a hard one to spot but i did in the end ( around 15 minutes). This cache should be good for a long time . Thanks Ksix for a fun and challenging multi.

Faded GZ! Needs replacing

30-Mar-24
Definitely needs some TLC! But we located the cache Now to decipher the puzzle In the dark

09-Mar-24
While staying with family in the next suburb, the hub and I took a little walk on Saturday morning. We struggled to find the info at the first WP but got some help from a previous finder. Wow - that was very well hidden! Then to decipher it.. eventually. We let out a little groan when we saw where GZ was because activities were in full swing. We approached the final concerned we wouldnt be able to try for a find, but actually everybody was focussed on the game and we were able to blend in. I had guessed at what container type wed be looking for and was right. It was still a tricky cache to find and took us quite a while. Partly because of location and partly because of cache creep. All in all a well put together multi, and were very glad to have our name in the log.

28-Sep-23
Found on a trip through Broken Hill, Tilpa, Bourke, Cunnamulla, Charleville, Tambo, Blackall and Barcaldine to attend the QOGM at Longreach, then to Emerald, Biloela, Monto, Gayndah and Kilcoy on my way to Brisbane for a few days before a return drive back to Adelaide. With a couple of days to spare I headed out this afternoon with the anticipation of a good number of finds but was thwarted once the heavens opened up with an enormous storm and deluge. Thanks for the cache Ksix!

25-Jul-23
I came over to Capalaba to drop off my cameras for a pre-travel service. I've had this cache on my todo list for a little while as I'm needing a D4.5 multi for a challenge and this is the only one I could find in Brisbane.
At WP1, like others, I couldn’t find anything, so made a PAF. At gz it was a quick find of this nicely camouflaged container. Tftc

03-Jun-23
I struggled with wp1 and had to reach out for help. Headed to GZ where I didn’t need help and found the cache after a short search.

Finally found this one!! Been on our list for awhile and we could finally tick it off

24-Mar-23
I am so happy to have my name in the log now after a couple of unsuccessful visits.
Thanks for the great multi Ksix.

11-Mar-23
No luck today - had some help with WP1 after a PAF. Searched for quite some time at gz, came up empty handed. Will try again next time.

27-Oct-22
We required help with this cache and after a hunt and find technique we found the nicely hidden cache. SL TFTC

21-Jan-22
After a lovely morning caching with Peppa, Giraffe18 and PirateLinda, I am going solo to find a few more targeted caches before heading home.

I had tried to find this one eons ago when there was construction work happening, so thought I will stop and have a look at GZ today.
Work all completed and no-one around, so could make the search without distractions.
Having a hubby who works with protective coatings, a little bit of knowledge must have rubbed off on me as I found the hide quite quickly. Glad to be able to sign this one and now have a smilie after all these years (last visit 2019).

28-Dec-21
After joining an enthusiastic group of cyclists to explore the trails around the area this rainy morning, I asked if we could stop for this one which is solved years ago but been thwarted in my attempt to retrieve by copious muggles. Everyone was happy to give it a go, so we descended on GZ and with nary a muggle in sight, made short work of the hide this time. Yay!We enjoyed the variety of hides, some tricky, some straightforward, and most were quick finds thanks to the many cachers that we ride with. All up we rode 30km today, signing logs RRG to save space.

28-Dec-21
This morning, I joined Ruzzelz' Reindeer/Ride Group (RRG) with a morning of finding the *Cycling the Redlands* geocaches series. The rain had magically disappeared from the start of our ride, and it was an enjoyable group session. I then managed to target a few older geocaches in the area before heading home.
In the afternoon, jesswrigley and I headed out and took a walk along Enoggera Creek in The Gap, finding a few of the *On Your Bike* series from #11 to #6. Again, the rain stayed away long enough to have a decent walk along this stretch whilst passing by many muggles similarly enjoying the afternoon.

Ruzzelz' Reindeer/Ride Group (RRG) consisted of bedmakerTG, DisSister, eatmorchikin, JQTB, La Kedi, nikid1, TaxisVW and DrPam, and teamdfl, as well as our esteemed leader Ruzzelz. Meeting at Scribbly Gums, we rode to the eastern end of the trail, with the plan to ride west and collect the caches in the series. We took a coffee break in the middle of the series at the nearby Alexandra Hills Shopping Centre, as well as a few miscellaneous geocaches that we encountered along the way. In total, we rode an approximate distance of 20 km.

A few of the group had mentioned that they had trouble in locating this cache, so while we were reasonably close, we took a detour past this area. With a few people in the group having already found this, they were able to provide a few clues, and so it didn't take long before we had success. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and we signed as *RRG* / *RR* to preserve space in the logbook. Thanks Ksix for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 05/2008 hidden cache, which is one of Queensland's 1000 oldest yet active geocaches.

28-Dec-21
I ride Scribbly Gums usually every second month so I have been cruising ride past a few of these caches on a couple of occasions. With the New Year fast approaching I decided to test the water on whether a few like minded geocyclists would like to complete the trail.

Now the weather was not looking good but as the ride leader i was duty bound to turn up. Right on cue at the designated start time the rain cleared and a group of many set off to clear the Cycling trail to Redlands.

We set off from Scribbly Gums heading East and then back West to collect caches. After the final western Cycle trail cache four of us pushed on to seek additional caches.

ruzzelz raining (not) ride group all had a great morning on 2 wheels including a diversion to Alex Hill shops for a group session at the coffee shop.

Joined an enthusiastic group of cyclists to make the run through the trails here, stopping every so often to take a wander into the bush or ponder a structure. A great variety of hides, some tricky, some straightforward. Thankful that many eyes made short work of the hunting in most instances and that the rain kindly stayed away. All up we rode 30km today, signing logs RRG to save space. Although this wasn’t part of the original plan, we decided over coffee that it was close enough to our route that it was worth the short detour. TFTC Ksix

Muggle65, Brislions and l headed out here today. At waypoint 1 l was clueless and started watching the world go by. Luckily Muggle65 found the prize and we were soon looking for a very well concealed cache. Great multi. A fave point from me

04-Sep-21

Green Geckos, Muggle65 and I were on a D/T hunt for a challenge cache. I had 15 caches on the list. In the end I found 11 for the day. The breakdown was 8 multi, earthcache, traditional and a mystery. I left in the dark and got home in the dark.

The TOTT’s we needed today were kayaks a ladder and torches. Yes a mine was enter. A few steep hills climb.
Lot of laughing was had, some stories were told.

After first multi we headed to the next. I have been here before. I couldn’t find then, but this I did.

The intrepid trio out again & this multi took a wee bit to find the first clue & Brisworked out the GZ & we passed the very sweaty exercisers to visit our target area & hunted the cache after 5 cache was found & signed.

WP1 visited some time ago, it was crowded on the day, so the final had to wait. Back to search for the final today, arrived before the teams, or perhaps Tuesdays are not the day.
Checking from different directions and angels before finally making the find.

Thank you for this cache

It was after meeting chamad this morning that this cache was added to our schedule for today... that little bit of information made for a pretty painless search here...

It didn’t take too long to deduce where we had to be next... despite picking the worst possible time to look, we managed to retrieve and return the cache without issue...

Tftc... and once again, thanks chamad for the use of your jet ski...

Quick stroll with the kiddies (end of school day) and quick find by Peppa.

Found with Peppa and Giraffe 18. Luckily Peppa is pretty good at all these different types of Puzzles. After Giraffe and he spotted what we needed a few calculations had us with some numbers. Now to see if they work - 2nd go - yep. Off to the final destination. Bit of searching while I read logs and Peppa came up with the goods. Thanks for this set up

06-May-21
After our misadventures of tree fishing this morning we needed something to spark our enthusiasm in caching again. I had this one on my to do list for some time and seeing as I was in the area today was my time to hopefully grab it.

We arrived at the first waypoint and with a little help I found the puzzle required. It is very hard to read and after a few attempts to read it I finally had some numbers that looked likely. A short walk and I spied something that looked different to the rest of the area. A gentle tug and I soon had the cache in hand. So happy to find this one, happy dance required.

With the log signed by all and the cache replaced as found it was time to move onto the next one on my list today. Thanks for placing this one here and so happy to see an old cache still in play, nice.

We unsuccessfully looked for information at waypoint one a couple of years ago, put it aside for a while and found it the second time I looked.
Ah, now it's just a matter of working out what to do with what I'd found. Poor fool me, nothing seemed to fit, so I put it in the too hard basket(for now) and went on caching.
Roll forward to a few days ago when I decided to have another look at it. Upside down, backwards...I really had no idea.
I decided to reach out to the CO for a clue and I'm glad I did as I doubt If I would ever have worked it out. Yet so simple when explained.
I made my way, with my newly worked out coordinates this morning for a look.
Well what do you know, there it was, just waiting for my name to be added to the log.
Thanks for puzzle and the cache Ksix...and for the nudge. Favourite point added.

28-Jan-21
Was out this way with KerriMG and asked her to join me to have a look at this multi. I stopped here a long time ago and got nowhere so thought 2 heads are better than one. In this case that didn’t really prove correct but then again maybe it did as we have our names on the log.
We arrived at the first WP and looked and looked and looked. All the while the sun was beating down melting our frozen cokes. An idea was hutched to just check out a few places and low and behold I found a cache! I’m still none the wiser on what it was we missed and feel a little disappointed that we failed at WP1 but also feel a bit smug that we found a cache.
The frozen coke was quite lovely too so a very enjoyable time was had here.

What an interesting multi! I was attracted by the DT and the FPs.

Arriving at GZ, it took longer than necessary to find the clue. Oh, that thing. Whoops. I must have touched it three or four times Cool. However, my brain was not kicking in, and I had no idea what to do with the information I'd found. So, I decided to just jetski it.

Arriving at a likely GZ, after poking around for a while, we found what we were after. The second jetski success of the day Cool. Log signing duties completed, cache returned, and we were back to the geomobile for more geoadventures.

TFTC Ksix. TB visits.

After an early yak-ride this morning, I teamed up with OBC for a few less strenuous targets on the dark-side of town. This one was a target for OBC until she told me the name - aaah, a K6 multi ... always worthwhile. So now it is a target for me too. Found the clue, eventually, but didn't see the pattern until much later. We guessed what and where, and after a fair search spotted our quarry.

Thanks Ksix for entertaining me at this location.
Cool *{Overall find #8579}* Cool

Very quiet here today which I was thankful for, cause we would have looked quite odd inspecting the area! TFTC - a clever hide Smile

28-Dec-20
Well... this took much longer to locate than I hoped! But it was good to find a cache that has been on my target list for quite some time now. TFTC.

07-Nov-20
Well this was clever. I spotted the clue at the posted coords but took a bit to get happy coords. Had to dodge all the youngsters running and biking in a local triathalon! Over we went to the GZ location and after searching and looking weird for way to long resorted to a PAF and of course in kicked the magic and TeamARF put his hand on the cache ! Awesome multi! Fave point

07-Nov-20
This is the first multi converted into a smiley today but after a few multi fails, by the end of the day the multi meter was running low on enthusiasm. So back to this multi, arriving at the waypoint, there were munchkins a plenty running and cycling along the track in lycra. There should be a traffic warden or speed gun set up along here, for safety only not revenue raising.

After getting the right angle, the clue was found. The choices then were to return back to the car and attempt the solve or look like a perv and perch myself on the concrete pad and leer at the munchkins while they zoomed past. Never around at the right time to get to Bathurst, this was the next best thing post covid.

With a minor hiccup with a capital, turned up a good set of coords and took the long route instead of taking the bleached yellow brick road through the Emerald City. At a likely spot, a groan escaped me thinking I'm closer to retirement than the time its going to take to find the cache. After starting low, a PAF helped narrow down the search area and the cache was found. Thanks Ksix for an interesting multi.

31-Oct-20
It was either one month ago, a year ago, or some time many moons ago when my mates and I all got together, drank lots of beers, and decided to call ourselves disciples and wrote a book when we first visited. It took some time to find the information we needed but we took a photo and headed off to smoke the peace pipe.

We found what we needed and left to decipher the information which we wrote in a book we called the New Testament. We planned a return visit only to find an AFL game in progress and a stand full of people. We left cracking the sads.

Today we were back to visit our favourite Op-Shop in Capalababa after it had reopened after COVID (whatever that is). My heart sank when the car park was nearly full as we arrived but everyone was crossing the road to vote instead of watching the footy. This left us to search alone and also reflect on the sales of our bible. The audio-book is selling well. tftc

Eskies5 and I headed down to Brissy from Toowoomba with this multi being the main target for today as it ticked of a challenge for both of us. After a serious stumble at the first hurdle and being completely unable to find what we need to get to GZ we were wondering what we were missing and called out for help. Once we saw what we needed we then jumbled with the letters before we had what we needed to get to GZ. Clever hide was found after a quick search by Eskies5. TFTC Ksix

08-Jul-20
Kestal and I were in Brisbane to tick off a few things that filled different boxes. We certainly made this one harder then it needed to be taking way too long to find the first WP...and just as we made a call for help we spotted it. A bit of extra brain strain with the puzzle and we were wandering to GZ where thankfully a quick find was made. TFTC Ksix

Special thank you to the CO. He went and refreshed the WP and log just yesterday after I had a question or two for him.

Geo boy told me we took exactly 10 minutes to decode the clue. 4:28pm till 4:38pm. The new clue is slightly harder than the old one because of capital and small letters.

Couldn’t get the final yesterday because there was too much footy going on. Came back in the rain this morning and snagged it.

Have undertaken some maintenance on this one.

WP's and cache at GZ have been replaced so everything is all good to go.

Headed south to the Redlands to track down a few older caches, it seems this area is blessed with quite a few we have yet to visit.

After working out the final GZ, we were lucky to find that the fence gate had been left open for us Smile

The title reminds us of a 90s cereal ad that had everyone shouting "kick it to me!". TFTC

Swung by this one on my way to another cache to see if maintenance finished. Unfortunately it is still fenced off. They are not quick on finishing these repairs either waiting for money or a tradesperson to finish.

This cache is unavailable at the moment as I pass it daily and see that work is going on in the area. Will keep watch on it.

Out and about with Snickersallan, RoddyC and Gulliver's Travels54 on this lovely day picking up Challenges caches near Hays Inlet Conservation Park. We drove specifically to this cache.

Snikersallan spotted the wp1 as soon as we arrived. RoddyC and I worked out the final coords. GT54 couldn't remember where it was so we headed out to see what we could see.

Thanks for taking us here Ksix.

08-Aug-18
Today, our group (which included Snickersallan, E(: and Gulliver's Travels54) spent the morning picking up the SHCS caches around Hays Inlet Conservation Park.

After lunch, and a few more caches to boot, we came to this cache as our final for the day, and to finish off the requirements for one of the challenge caches.

Snikersallan found WP1 as we arrived. After taking snapshots to get a better view, we were able to work out the final coordinates. Neat puzzle.

So we mozeyed over to GZ, as there were not too many Muggles around. It must have been a strange sight - all of us in the skeleton of what was left. Thankfully, we found the "magnetic object".

Thanks for the adventure, Ksix.

08-Aug-18
A beaut day to venture up north from the coast to find some challenges, multi's and traditional caches in the company of geo friends team RoddyC, Gullivers Travels54 and E(:
This multi was our last to do for the day and lucky for us WP1 was found quickly, sums worked out and a new set of co-ords presented themselves. Very few muggles today which assisted in the searching process and by good luck we soon spotted the 'little micro'.
Thanks for the neat multicache, well done CO.

Another old cache which has been on my radar a long time. I parked near WP1 and was initially puzzled but should have expected the unexpected. I took lots of photos but it was a little difficult and there was a bit of ambiguity with a couple of them. But we got there.
I was then quite worried about the GZ, but after a thorough search, managed to locate the little devil.
Tweezers are essential!
TFTC and a bit of fun here today.

I was up in the Daybro and caching recently and remembered I had done this cache back on 31/5 2018 with caching friends. After a bit of searching cache was soon found. TFTC

31-May-18
Came to do this cache on the way home from Dayboro. It was a nice one to do and after finding the waypoint we headed for GZ. A bit of a hunt finally turned up the cache. Sorry for the late log. Came by to do it today and realized we had already been here ages ago. Worked out when so are logging it late with our apologies.
Cheers and happy caching!

31-May-18
Heading back from a few days of caching around Dayboro and had a little bit of extra time so DiamonJs and I decided to come and do this multi for a multi challenge. Thanks Ksix.

31-May-18
joojoo57 and I both needed this cache for our DT square and a challenge that was looming for us. A quick find was made at GZ although the magnet has come apart from the cache. TFTC I think I am going to copy this in my home town.

07-Apr-18
Selva Girls and I were out on a caching day in the area, and had chosen this cache for some points for a challenge, a nice D/T and some unloved time as well. We went to WP1 and found what was needed, then moved off to gz. There was a game on and we had to wait for an opportunity to search. Gz is not as accessible as it once was, time having taken its toll quite significantly. The cache was still there however, and we were able to retrieve it and use a TOTT to extract the very wet and mushy log. We signed this and took photos, then realised that Selva Girls had a replacement log in the car. We signed this also and have replaced the old log in the container with a new one which will hopefully give the cache a bit more longevity. Tftc Ksix Big Grin

07-Apr-18
Next, stortigirls and I made our way to this one. This one was chosen for its D/T combination and also because it was unloved. As I parked the geomobile, I noticed there was a game being played. We would need to be aware of muggles.
At WP1, we searched for a bit before we spotted what we needed. Then we were off to the final. The area where the final is hidden is under refurbishmnet, but I quickly spotted the cache. Stortigirls made a quick grab. We took the cache back to the geomobile as we needed a TOTT to remove the log. The log was quite wet, but we managed to sign it. It was then decided to replace it with a new one. We added our names to that log, returned the cache to its spot, then headed off to the next one. TFTC

21-Dec-16
Had started this cache quite a while ago but had not got back into the area until today.
After seeing off RoddyC and diamonjs, I came straight here to find the final of this cache.
Searched all over and then again. I had to hurry as there was a storm approaching and I did not want to get caught in it on my way home.
Finally I spotted the cache and signed the log.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Ksix Cool All good with this cache

03-Sep-16
At last, no Muggles around except Muggle son and after a few laps of GZ in, out, over, up and down he assured me that there was no cache there so off he went (350 Mtrs to home) and I was determined as it is about my 5 or 6 visit over the past 18 mths and to my surprise it just jumped out at me. I had found the 1st WP easily enough, cracked the code or what I thought it was, looked at GZ and in sheer frustration I messaged CO to see that I did have the right code etc. that was all ok but I did get a tip off from the CO that didn't work for me just sheer preserve remove. TFTC

15-Apr-16
I visited WP1 last week but could not find anything. A quick message to the CO and he gave me more information. Another visit on Wednesday yielded the puzzle but it was hard to read. I took a photo to upload to my computer for a better look.

That night, I was able to work it out and pieced together some coordinates that looked good. This morning I got a chance to go back with the geowife.

We searched around for a while before the guy mowing the lawn came over and asked what we were doing. The geowife explained and he wandered off, bemused but curiosity satisfied.

We searched a bit longer before the geowife called out "found it".

It was an ingenious hide. You see more of these these days but they are not as authentic, shall we say, as this one. Very impressive.

TFTC Ksix

24-Aug-15
Finally found it after getting the 1st clue from Ksix. Very clever hide.

15-Aug-15
Out for a day today picking up some solved puzzles and other higher difficulty caches along the way. With a game going on this morning I wasn't sure how successful I would be but headed off to try my luck anyway. It took some time to work out where the first lot of information was and then puzzled over what it was telling me. Some logic got me part of the way and then came up short. I decided on some numbers to fill the gaps but was far from confident with the result but headed off to GZ. As I got closer I was certain I had lucked on the answer and my luck held as I spotted the hide straight away. A break in play meant the cache was retrieved and returned without concern. An nice little multi. TFTC.

09-Aug-15
So this adventure started a few weeks ago with Wombles and Co talking about doing her 25differentD/T challenge. 1/2 of Scattsmadhouse asked to come along for the day as well to pick up some caches. So this morning (early) we started our day, along with mumma (barbbowman).

Happy to say we completed the 25D/T's and were home just as the sun was starting to go down.

we had a previous finder with us which made getting this cache quite easy which is good cause I think it would have taken a lot longer otherwise. TFTC

09-Aug-15
Bubba89 had been awesome enough to work out a list for me for the 25 D/T challenge so we planned a whole day out with an early start! The 4 of us (Bubba, Barbbowman, Ree of Scattsmadhouse and I) met up before the sun was up and set off for the day.

Nobody paid us any attention while we retrieved this cache and signed the log, muggles can be so distracted at times!

09-Aug-15
A few weeks ago some fellow cacher friends were talking about doing 25 caches in a day to meet the needs for a challenge for one of the group. Finding an area with 25 unfound caches seemed like the biggest task but the list was soon compiled and the plan was in motion. Today we ( barbbowman, bubba and wombles and co) were all up and on the road before dawn , eager to find caches and help wombles get her 25 caches.
on arrival at GZ we were a bit worried about the muggles. But quickly reaslised they had their focus somewhere else and the grab was made easily.

Came to watch my son in the under 8s. Found the clue and took a while to sort out the code. We laughed when we realised where the cache was. Thanks.

25-Sep-14
Some girls playing nearby keep giving us some sideways glances while looking for the clues. Need to look past and focus on the distance. Clue in hand took us back to... and soon had cache in hand. Had found one like this an hour earlier so was a bit easier this time. TFTC. Would be hard to do when a game was being played.

Thought it was a nice afternoon for a bike ride with my geosons...with a huge stack on the ride there by biggest geoson. But nothing was going to stop him from getting to GZ, my tough boy soldiered on. Geoson found the clue straight up then on to find the cache. After looking up and down and crawling around, the sneaky little cache was right in front of us. Now how to get the log out without tweezers. A little tap and it was in my hands. 13/9/14 - Been to this one once before but unable to find the clue at WP1. Today we were back with geokids and a newbie. Having another quick look and no luck then 8yr old geogirl walks up and points to the clue. How is she so good at this? The clue was quick to decipher and we were of to GZ. Found GZ easily enough but the cache was a little more difficult. We search high and low, up and down and round and round. Kids grew tired and ran off to the playground. A step back to consider things and there it was staring me in the face. Great hide and a great cache. TFTC Ksix

Today I met up with a bunch of fellow caches over a "sumptuous" lunch at McDonalds to nut out and collect some puzzles in the area.
OrionJ had been to this spot a previous time and valued the eyes of other cachers to find the elusive cache.
He didn't need much help in the end as he walked up an basically picked it up Red Face

With a group assault in the area with NPG we decided just one more. OrionJ had been dropping hints about this one all day, so this looks like it made the list.

Pulled up and before I could get to GZ, the man who had so much trouble with this one had the cache in hand.

Log signed, cache replaced.

A day well spent getting around the Redlands with a great group of fellow cachers, and this was down for the last stop of the day. Well it actually got added to the list as I think I mentioned it enough times.

It is a cache that I had visited on a previous outing and managed to deduce to coords, and the search zone. However on two previous times before today a search at GZ just was not possible. Finally today though after confirming the search location why not take a look and give it a go.

So with five others and one previous finder it was time to get this one found. With a small hint thrown in and somehow managed to walk almost straight to it, after checking one or two other spots before hand.

Captain Terror and I had attempted this cache in October but had no luck once we got to the final coordinates. I had heard that he had managed to turn his dnf frown upside down and into a smilie.

When we visited it we found waypoint one after quite a while and I remember sitting there with the Captain trying to work out what needed to be done. I finally worked out the final coordinates and we headed over but couldn't find anything once there.

Today Fangsoki and I were almost driving past the final coordinates so I got him to pull in and wait a few minutes for me to run over and have another look. JOY!! I found it! I signed my name in the logbook and replaced it as found. Thanks for the cache Ksix Smile

Gotcha! After the extreme agony of K6-08 I made a pledge to avoid caches requiring too much in the grey matter dept. I pass near WP1 on a weekly basis so a quick squint for it can't get you hooked.
After being reeled in, deciphering the code was child's play compared to the aforementioned cache.
After two unsuccessful "test" visits and using up valuable grey matter knew exactly what I was looking for... it is in excellent condition... but no more!

With the day off work today, we decided to head off and grab a few caches in this area. This one was next up on the list, and with Fangsoki and Captain Terror with us, we headed in together, and after a good walk around, we soon arrived at GZ Smile

We climbed all over searching, but eventually Captain Terror's keen eye spotted the cache [^]

A great day out and about in the area today, and with the logbook signed, and the cache returned safely, we were soon on our way to the next one Big Grin

TFTC Ksix, we really enjoyed this cache today!

It seems the Difficulty rating of 4.5 on this geocache is not to be underestimated. I was at a loss as to how after the efforts of my last visit here - finding the tricky waypoint, deciphering the clues, determining final co-ordinates and a lengthy search - I couldn't find the geocache.

We knew a few small details about the hide, but it seemed it just did not want to be found. Today in the area with Fangsoki and Gaz'n'Kab and it was decided a few more eyes would make the hunt easier. We headed straight for the final spot this time. A few muggles were getting about, but none to really get in our way.

It still took a lengthy search and Fang couldn't really remember where he found it exactly. Lots of looking and eventually I spotted it. It is well disguised, but once I had seen it, I couldn't un-see it. I plucked it from it's perch and set about getting the logbook out. It is in perfect condition and so Gaz'n'Kab and I signed our initials on the next line before rehiding as found.

It has been a long time and a lot of effort coming, but I am happy to finally have this tricky little number ticked off. It is worth the effort if anyone is up for a challenge. TFTC Ksix Smile

First of all, kudos to the CO for checking up on this one when it was needed. And well done to Fangsoki for finding it after so long. Today I was not to have the same luck.

I visited this one with Net88 and was keen to give it a try. After parking nearby and making our way to WP1, we began looking high and low. We saw one item, but that didn't seem right. More looking and it was spotted. Excellent. Now what?

Flash forward some thinking and discussing time and as I was absent mindedly trying to mull it over, Net started extracting some co-ords. Ripper!

So we moseyed off and took the scenic route to avoid some muggles before arriving at the obvious feature. Oh my, there is a lot of options here. We started in the same fashion you'd eat a mammoth. Flash forward a bunch of searching time and a PAF was made to narrow the hunt but still no luck after much more looking. Not thinking we'd find it, we moved off for the day. I'll keep an eye on this one and hopefully get it soon.

Out with IolantheK on a Freaky Fridat hunt. I had tried to do this one before, but struggled to read the clue at WP1. It had turned cloudy today and that made all the difference. The WP was read and then some ideas swapped. Yes that would work. Off to GZ. Kids playing netball nearby, but out of sight from GZ. We hunted high and low. Search was suspended when we attracted some unwanted attention. Coast clear and the search resumed. No luck after at least 10 minutes. Read some logs. Hmmm if he was doing that then it must be......... - right here!!! Just happened to be looking in just the right spot Smile

Out and about with teamdfl for yet another Freaky Friday Big Grin She was keen to get this one as she's had a go before and couldn't read the info at WP1. Today the 2 of us were able to squint just right and get it sorted [^] Then we had some discussion to nut out the solution. What if this is... and if we do that ... oh hang on, look at this, and this... Big Grin Oooh, look at those nice numbers Big Grin

teamdfl was pretty pleased as she thought that would be GZ, so we toddled over to have a search. Mmmm, lots of spots to pick Twisted and we think we know what to look for, but which one[?][?][?] Crawling around, then on tiptoe, then sit and think, dodge a few muggles, more searching, read a few logs, then we are just about to give up when teamdfl looks just right and there's the cache. Nice! TFTC, Ksix. A neat little puzzle and a clever hide.

My previous search for this one was back in 2008 and at that time I lucked out on the WP.

Maybe I am a bit more experienced now but I found the WP after a bit of a search but I couldn't read the details on it.

A quick phone call and I was directed to a search area for the cache.

Luckily there was no game on today and I had the search area to myself except for high School students passing by occasionally.

I spent some e time looking for the cache and in desperation made another call and, as usual, I found the cache before the phone was answered.

Good to finally get this one off the list.

I truly never thought I would be able to log a find on this beastie.

I had gone past for the upteenth time quite a while ago and started my search... again. Each time, the GPSr took me to the same area. But what am I looking for? Then I finally spotted it. Great Caesar's Ghost! Not only was I amazed that I found the WP, but it appeared Father Time had not been kind to it and reading it would be a challenge.

I squinted for all I was worth.. trying to read the WP and finally got something out of it. But what to do with what I have? I sat with it for a while and I came up with a dawning.

So.. back then.. all I managed to find at my GZ was a big ol' D_N_F. I was recently alerted to the fact that KSix had recently replaced the cache - so I motored back today to try to finally grab the beastie.

And it still took me a forever.. probably about 15 minutes all up - but I finally came up with it. It was in good condition (*surprise* Razz).

A mammoth effort from me to get this cache over the past couple of years. I am happy I finally got it. And happy to be the first "finder" in over 2 years Big Grin Some challenging hiding there, Ksix.. well done. And many thanks for replacing the cache. TFTC Smile

All good to go

Ducked out for a quick check on this one...

WP1 is still where it was originally placed, all be it a little faded, but still good to go. Over now to where the cache "was..." Unfortunately the cache had disappeared, but that was soon rectified. A replacement cache is now in place.

Eat... Sleep... Geocache...

I dropped in to have a look for this beastie. The WP is definitely there (just!) - but nuts to it if I could find the final cache. I scoured GZ several times to no avail.

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every month or so to keep everyone up to date.

Over a year since this one was found and several DNFs since. No maintenance has happened so perhaps time to let this one go.

20-Aug-12
With several DNF's preceding my visit today, I did not have high hopes for this one. I had a crack anyways. I also came unstuck at WP1 and seeing as it hasn't been found since 2010, I think maybe it needs to be checked out.

No hints required for this one... A very neat hide though I must say... [^]

I had Svn07 looking on as I hunted who was not giving anything away... As she watched though she was convinced the container was in a certain area... When I pulled it from somewhere else, she pulled out the old "It was over there when I found it..." Sure it was Svn07... Wink

It was fairly quiet in the area today with only a couple of bar flies hovering outside the club at the far end... I figured if it was difficult for me to spot what I was looking for, they would have absolutely no chance so no need to worry too much about them... Big Grin

The container itself needs a little maintenance. The log is fine and has a few spaces left but, the container itself could use some attention. I will PM the owner with the details rather than leak any hints... Wink Awww c'mon... It's a difficulty 4.5, you wouldn't want me to spoil the fun would you... Twisted

Thanks for the challenge Ksix.
