All the colours in this have now merged into a moldy brown/black colour. Drained some of the water out then managed to place a sticker in the soggy mass that was once a log book.

A quick find after a bit of a scramble through the bush. I tipped about 1/2 litre of water out of the cache, the log needs replacing as it's covered in mould, sorry about the maintenace news, but T4TC!

Found it! However I was not able to write in the log book due to it's failing condition as well some of the contents were in poor condition as well. I say give a quick lil check up and a new log book and it'll be right again!

02-Oct-11
As previously stated contents were on poor condition but great find!

17-Aug-11
Found at 4.15pm GAFF1. Not much colour in that cache - just a lot of dry dusty mould from the log book.
A nice little enclave here - was actually asked by a neighbour if we were looking for someone.
Thanks Smith's Search.

Very dodgy at night with the crunchy leaves and barking dogs! Tooks a while to find. Cheers Gav [8903]

Visited at night but had real stealth issues due to dogs barking at leaves cruching as we walked to the cache.

20-May-11
Find number 14 for the day, and find number 261 on the twentysecond day of our month long trip to Warwick, Lightning Ridge, Boulia, Plenty Highway, Alice Springs, Ayres Rock, Darwin, and home. Found at 1455hrs Qld time.

Its obviously not just geocachers that seek out caches, ants do too. Pulled this one from its hole, and opened it and got covered in ants. They had nested inside, no doubt to shelter from all the rain. Needs a little TLC.

Cheers
Bundy

Dogs barking all around us - stopped being discreet when we realised all the dogs were barking all day long in this neighbourhood - not just at us. Such a bright cache required us to leave a bright trackable - a glitter teeshirt with a bright yellow teeshirt tag!. Uplifted the oz gc for more adventures. Thanks

WanderingAus wandered by on day 71 of a "climatic refugee" trip. After dropping the geoChallenger at Winnellie for a service I caught the bus to Palmerston determined to clear the surrounding area of unfound caches.

Having pre-determined that GC18GCY Yip Therapy by Kerr NT, with 2 DNFs and no find for 11 months, was to be excluded, I had five caches to hunt down, and this was the fourth. Not having the luxury of wheels, I walked from GC19M2T Palmerston Shootout #1 by Groboz to the start of the Palmerston Escarpment Walk, then followed the walk all the way to GC14TP2 The Ridge Walk by Kerr NT, then continued along the ridge and found a slightly more difficult track leading almost in the right direction to get to this cache.

I spotted some Colour in the Bush from about 10 metres away, and made a very quick and easy GAFF 1 find. Disappointingly the first decent sized cache of the day was almost devoid of swaps.

My find No 1656, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped Prezli TB (ref = TBNEW4) and Nickell Geocoin (ref = TB1DHHF), also dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.

I realized later that I should have back-tracked a short distance to continue along the Escarpment walk in the direction of GC1J64N Colour in the Bush by Smith's Search, but I continued along the ridge and found a slightly more difficult track leading almost in the right direction.

*Recommended* *Overall Experience: 2*

[Thanks - had been through this park before. Had dd2yrs and happened to need a wee, great diversion, but no muggles anyway! took kanga and left badge (also took pencil by accident, found it by the pram after replacing!!) There's a pen in there for writing so assume its not major. ]
If you dont know the area, a street map might do - kinda rabbit hole in there!! (if you intend driving in as far as poss)

As we were searching near the corner house, a bloke spoke to Mr Bushies2 but we are deaf so he signed back, pointing his ears meaning we couldn't hear, the bloke just smiled and waved at us. Maybe he knows about the hide, anyway Mr Bushies2 found it but the cache was soaked and logbook too wet to sign so we replaced with a new logbook and seal bag. Thanks Smith's Search for the hide and hunt.

18-Apr-09
The cache is soaked and items are sort of rusted, it will need a new cache, even though we put another logbook. Thanks.
