The Australian Government has decided that they need my cache site as part of the new Darwin Detention Centre.
Ah! Well!
As I am not able to move to another location in the short term - assuming I could - I have to Archive this one.
Unfortunately, I will not be in the Top End for a little while, so it will be some time before I can get a new one in place.

We were out this way the other week to find the caches on Channel Island. We started to have a look for this one but quickly gave up when we realised how close it was to the new detention centre. We got to within about 70 meters of the cache and the GPS was indicating that it was probably on the wrong side of the fence! The security guards where paying us a lot of attention so we decided it was time to leave. If the cache owners could check it out (and relocate if necessary) it would be much appreciated.
WanderingAus wandered by on day 40 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, after dropping the WanderingMrs (aka SWMBO) at the stop for the free Casino Bus I had almost 6 hours of caching time available. I decided today would be the day I claimed my 3,700th find, and I had chosen GC1ZPFJ Zena's Walk by reasonjo, GC234PC Look out there! - Fish! by denisjoh, GC1JQ5M Right..Left..Middle Arm by Hefalumps and GA2010 Gas for the Future by Denisjoh & Robjoh as the possible 3,700th find.
Before I could claim that I needed another 12 finds, and by 2:25 PM I had achieved that, so I headed for GC1ZPFJ Zena's Walk.
I made a very quick and easy find of the first waypoint and keyed the coords into the gpsr, and headed along the trail to waypoint 2. That was where I came unstuck. When I reached the given coords I found an obvious hiding spot, but after 20 minutes of thoroughly checking the obvious as well as the surrounding 10 metres or so I couldn't find another container. Maybe I'm blind, or maybe it's gone missing in the 9 months since it was last found.
That left this cache as the next best candidate for my 3,700th find, so off I went again, and before long I was parking in a clear area not far from the cache. I followed what appeared to be a cacher's trail, which took me to within a metre or two of my GZ, and started the hunt. I was hoping to be able to make a GAFF 0 find, so all I knew was the name, owner, size, difficulty and terrain. Being a regular it can't be too hard to find, can it???
I think I turned over every rock within about 15 metres of my GZ, without turning up the goods, so I decided it was time to abgandon the GAFF 0 and go straight to GAFF 3 - read the hint. Hmmm, I though I'd checked every possible candidate that matched the hint, but I went back to each possible spot again anyway, although I'm not sure I understand the "single" part of the hint.
After another ten minutes I decided it was time to look at the description and some of the logs (description only would have been GAFF 1, description and logs would have been GAFF 2), which wasn't much help, except for the log by Shacks which read "What a view, from GZ we could see a thunder storm out over Middle Point". Hmmm!!! "I don't think I can see middle point from here, maybe the hill is giving me slewed coords". Just to be sure, I made an assault on the hill, not an easy climb, still pretty hot, and once at the top the grass and vines were so thick I could barely move through it. Once there I had a really terrific view, and the gpsr confirmed that I was probably in the right spot, so after regaining my strength I returned to my GZ for one last unsuccessful check of all those possibilities.
Pity really, I expected this to be my 3,700th find, Recommended, Overall Experience: 4, and also a Favourite, but the honour of 3,700th find eventually went to my least favourite choice, after running out of time to get to GC1JQ5M Right..Left..Middle Arm. I had to be back at Malak by 4:55 PM, so I had to settle for GA2010 Gas for the Future for number 3,700.

We went back for a second look and found it this time. Very happy, though had to battle through the spear grass.
What a view, from GZ we could see a thunder storm out over Middle Point. Shame left the camera at home.
It's the right time to bag this cache now it has burnt through. Nice site for the cache Denisjoh1. L bendy croc, T Family bug. TFTC.
We couldn't find this cache after a lot of searching. There was some burnt bits and pieces around the place. Can someone please confirm if this cache is still there?
Found it, with the added degree of difficulty of local fire burn-off! Great view though and well worth the visit. Thanks denisjoh for the cache!
Great Cache! Never even knew there was an aquaculture area near by!!

Found it in seconds. Don't know how I could have missed it the first time. TFTC and the view from on top.
Must be on a roll - four in a row and all realtively easy! Mind you, it was helped by findind something similar in Alice earlier this year, and that one did take time! You can be lucky! As a hint, try looking upwards sometimes... the climb down was pretty treacherous so watch out for rolling stones and spear grass. TN, LN. SL. TFTC
Great spot for a cache....let ShellcaseNT do the walking as I didn't have the best footwear. TFTC
Decided to give it another go, and was spot on. A good hide as well. There are some nice views from the top there. A crack-a-lackin FTF. TFTC (Took Geo coin)
Great location for a cache.... if only I could find it. Looked at the new coordinates using the clue but couldn't find it even after widening the search.

Spent 2 hours (had nothing better to do!) on this one. A couple of discrepancies. GZ had me in an area sign posted private property, no trespasser, and it was also definitely not terrain 4, a flat walk all the way. Still spent a good part of 40 mins looking at GZ. Decided to head up the hill for a check, made more sense, was publicly accessible, and matched terrain rating. However not having nearby co-ordinates, just did some instinctual searching for an hour or so, glad when it rained, kept me cool (GPRs is IP67) . I had 2 GPS receivers, and ran 3 programs, all correlated to the published Co-ords, but still, didn't feel right.
Unfortunately I have made a mistake when I created this cache.
It physically exists at the location I put it.
My GPS took me right back to within 1 metre.
However, when I downloaded the coordinates I had the MapSource program set for Aus Geod 84.
When I down load the coordinates using WGS 84 the coordinates are :-
S12 34.093
E130 54.992
I tried to 'Drop' the TB and Geocoin and the only way I could do it was to log a find.
I have since deleted the 'find' as they are both ther now.
So hopefully you will be able to actually find this one?
