Project completion has slipped - "The O-Bahn City Access Project is scheduled for completion at the end of 2017."
I will do another site inspection in the next few weeks to see if GZ if safe to access.

Modifications to GZ by the O-Bahn City Access Project (http://www.infrastructure.sa.gov.au/public_transport_projects/o-bahn_city_access) will continue until "late 2017". Unfortunately this cache will need to remain disabled until the site is remediated.

Went back today now the fences are down. Armed with detailed instructions from a previous finder. Sadly it seems that the structure which held the cache is gone.
One of these little yellow symbols is quite close to our home and appears on screen quite regularly. So we thought it was time to bite the bullet and learn about Engineering a city.
Both Brad's father and son are engineers and he could have so easily chosen that career path as well.
It seemed reasonable to get the information for all four of the multis at the same time so a path was chosen and a couple of days were spent wandering around places that I thought I knew to gather information.
I lost track of the number of times I thought I didn't know that!
Eventually I got 4 sets of coordinates and headed out to find some caches.
As I got near GZ it was clear that this one will be disabled for a while. GZ is still inaccessible.
No data gathered for number 5.

Offline while GZ gets some attention from the extension of one of Adelaide's unique engineering masterpieces.
Armed with new hints from previous logs, and a new outlook on where we should search and where we should ignore, we once again approached this cache confident of a find. Once again, we walked away with a frownie.
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi. Start.ed the new year with the EAC series. Spent many lunchtimes wandering around the city gathering the required data. This past week finally had all the data for the series and started to assemble the required calculus for the various GZs. Went to claim this one a couple of days ago but the cache was missing. I work <50m from GZ and the cupboard was bare, it was lighter than air.... Called in and there was a cache with all the required markings. Not sure where it was in my previous visits. Anyway, retrieved the cache and then back to the geomobile which was parked nearby and contained the required implements to open the reverse engineered item and sign the log and record the clue for the final. Replaced the cache at GZ. Another interesting multi. Gratias pro cache.
It took four individual visits to the city to pick up all the clues for this multi, but all of them were pretty straight forward to obtain.
The same could not be said of the actual cache. I made an attempt a week ago, and had a fair idea what to focus on, but at 17.30 the place was muggle central.
Tonight at 10pm with only a few people around I could ‘dig’ uninterruptedly and finally spotted the ‘out of place item’. The logbook was quite full though and I believe the hint for the final cache has just about ‘rubbed off’.
Still it was a very enjoyable cache and again lead us to places we otherwise never would have visited.
2 down, 3 to go!

Much info has been gathered over time.
Now actually finishing the job!
At GZ one thing was out of place, and a little discreet labelling confirmed this feat of engineering magnificence.
Not wanting to get burnt, Matty proceeded carefully with tools in the nearby Catmobile.
A small engineering task was achieved and the log located.
No ducks or eggs were harmed in the finding of this cache.
Fav for not being a traditional mint tin in the bush !

This could have been overall find number 3000 for us, but once again, we left empty handed. Despite knowing what to look for, and where, we found nothing.
Spent yesterday and today after work walking around the city working through the waypoints for #3 and #4. I was muggled at E13 by an employee of the gardens, who kindly helped me search for the answer to the question. Tonight, after finding EAC#4, I walked to over gz and met the squirrel there. Found the nest (wow, those eggs are pretty big) and the squirrel found and extracted the cache and log. Another novel cache container, clever I just love how the numbers on your caches fall out so beautifully... definitely worth another favourite point
TFTC! (3 down, 2 to go)

It was a cold and wet night when I got a call from a damsel (or raccoon) in distress. After meeting her at the GZ with a torch we scoured the location. After finding something we thought was rubbish a previous log tipped us onto something. What an awesome container. Yes a tool was required but Team Critter carries such things at all times. TFTC
Loving this series. Mr Tardis works 60 meters from GZ which is quite convenient. I finished the waypoints about 6 months ago, and at the time didn't find the cache. I'd admit I searched for this one on more than one occasion, and after reading some logs I eventually worked out what to look for at GZ.
I wasn't able to open the cache, so back to work for some engineering tools to assist with the opening.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Trigg-A-Nomics.

Today I set myself the task of collecting all in this series while riding around the CBD on a treadly, and sadly I failed as I only managed to grab the first three. I guess a trifecta isn't too bad.
Made my way to the beginning of this one only to realise that the information had been supplied due to construction works. One of the waypoints offered (read demanded) that I cease cycling and go for a walk which I admit proved a nice change. Once I finally calculated the end GZ, I realised I had been there before with a group of cachers who had solved this one several years ago. Pried open the cache container and my caching signature stared back at me. Signed again and replaced, and another favourite for the awesomely engineered container.

Always an adventure when BAM get together. Another fantastic cache, cant wait for the next visit to try some more in this series.
After taking the best parts of 2 Sundays over a few weeks to finish #4, we felt that we were ready to do this one straight away. Booklets in hand, we went and parked near the conservatory, visited the palm house, counted some bricks, counted some more bricks, headed past The Stag, and then the fun began, again. We had all the answers, or so we thought, and brisal5 was made to sit on the cold grass and try and try and try. Damn, even the clue made sense... However, our group had made a maths error again. We sat down, rechecked the maths, and then headed elsewhere. Aussie Mary went and played in one spot, the taller brisal5 looked and woohoo, a cache in hand is worth two in the bush. As we logged our names a lady and her partner came over, the lady had been nearby watching our antics for some time. Aussie Mary provided her with the internet address of geocaching.com as she seemed quite intrigued. So, another City has been engineered. If only we got our maths right first time we could be a lot faster and less obvious. TFTC and another favourite from Aussie M & M.
mogni was in town yet again for some work. That meant only one thing....caching time. Team BAM (Brisal5, AussieM&M and Mogni) decided it was time for a Adelaide Multicache day
Ditto number 4. Did the walks, found the waypoints did the maths and came up empty. A likely spot had me sitting on wet grass for quite a while working on something green. Can't wait for facebook to describe this as me wetting my pants! Guys...it is supposed to be yellow. So we redid the maths...again and searched elsewhere and got the prize. The reverse engineering doesn't seem to work now, but heck...we got the cache and had some laughs. Then off to the stag for a burger lunch. Thanks Trigg-A-Nomics.

Loved the walk through the botanical gardens, such a pretty escape from the busy city! A great trail leading to a very clever cache =)
Well that was embarrassing to learn I'd held the cache in my hand on my last visit
Today another lunch time stroll only to find a few muggles enjoying the peacefullness by GZ. However, I was able to meet a nice blonde and used for distraction whilst I grabbed the cache. (I think is was the blonde near GZ that confused me on my last visit.) Dropped the blonde off for someone else to make a profit from her whilst I worked on opening the cache.
Thankfully I managed to get it open, grab the clue and add my name to the log book.
The journey for this cache has been long but I enjoyed learning information along the way.
Now to try and put the clues together and work out the final bonus cache.

I guess this is becoming a nemesis cache
On the up side, I'm working in the city and at least can make it to GZ in my lunch break (but only just).
I'll be back next week.

snuck in tour to get the tour of the town with 3LG & Earthlihght, getting some of the puzles that they have found. 30 smiles with only 2 DNF"S.
hmmmm not sure on the container, normally take these out, not find the log in it

Having finally visited all the points thought I'd have a look whilst passing today.
Alas there seems to have been work done at my calculated GZ, and a muggle was sitting enjoying her lunch break and watching my antics which resulted in finding nothing.
I was also keeping an eye on the geomobile as I hadn't bought a ticket.
Will be back again after checking with a friend.

After a night of collecting hard-to-retrieve caches, Owl was ready to call it a day when Locuscache said, ‘there’s a cache here, want to do it?’ When Owl realised where she was, she replied, yes please! Having collected all but one of the clues for all of the Engineering series, she hadn’t yet managed to find a cache! Ridethegeowalrus did the search, while Owl kept an eye on some unsavoury types luring around. No duck was sighted, but there are eggs in the nest (which is not the location of the cache.) Getting the cache open was a challenge, but eventually the log was signed and returned. And there was much rejoicing. Despite Owl’s inability to find the cache previously, she’s awarding a favourite point for the great time she had collecting the information.
Sadly we failed to find this cache today, even though I'm sure we are looking in the right spot.
Out with 3LG for a Sunday night cache run on a blustery and wet afternoon/evening which produced 19 locus cache smileys and 3 DNFs
What a laugh this cache was!
Seems Mr 3LG was in a hurry to get home to sleep so he threw the cache away
Apparently he thought the cache container was rubbish and so neglected to tell either Mrs 3LG or myself where he had found this rubbish!
We were at Windsor Gardens when Mrs 3LG worked out from some of the logs that the item Mr 3LG disposed off was probably the REAL CACHE
Since we were now about 10kms from the cache, we thought we had better return and save the cache, so back to the city we went!
Replaced cache where it was and then headed for home!

Found while caching with Locus cache on the eve of her clicking over to half a century, she had clicked over before the caching night finished with her famous "just one more" lol, it was a good night caching with the skies opening up a few times but that wasn't going to stop us keen cachers in the pursuit of the next cache to calm the caching beast with in [8d]
You do not need to disturb the ducks nest.
You do not need to disturb the ducks nest.
The difficulty factor has increased on this cache, as a duck is using it as a nest. (There's something you don't see every day!) It may not be available until spring.
After all the notes for this cache I was encouraged by setsujoku's found log and set off in search. I found the cache and discounted it as a bit of rubbish until a closer inspection showed something that wasn't quite right and somehow familiar. Clue noted.
Thanks for the cache Trigg-A-Nomics MEng(CC).

Collected the last of the information that we didn't get to the other week, and made our way to GZ with trepidation after the last DNF.
GZ ended up being about 10m out, but we managed to get there in the end.
A much easier to get cache than the previous one just near GZ. No chances of possums living in this one!

Finally we had all the information we needed, and the checksum checked out, so we decided to grab this cache on a nice quiet morning in the city. GZ put us in a place we've visited before, while gathering clues, but no small yellow object was to be found. Too clever for us I'm afraid.
We now have all clues for this cache except W14, which might take a while to get back to.
Sadly another one in the series that we can't complete, and yet again, one of locations has been unavailable for quite a while with nothing to indicate the fact.
Collected the points as we went around the city, and thankfully didn't get to the one that is missing, but having verified that it is currently in storage at the city council, there isn't a way to complete this one as they state that it will not be returned until after the hospital is completed.

I had already found it, hence my concerned chainsaw comment. As long as it is ok, my memory of gz must be a lil out? lol
Nope - no chainsaw damage here! Couldn't stop for a look in the hidey hole but the surrounds are intact. Search on!
Just went past gz for this one.
Seems that some muggle workers may have removed gz with a chainsaw!

Had some time to kill between work finishing and a meeting this morning, so a good time to do another EAC. First one in quite awhile actually!
Enjoyed the warmish early morning walk, coupled with some drizzle to add to the Brisvegas feel!
Had to rework the sums a few times to get viable coords. Checked with a previous finder who confirmed I was heading to correct location.
Initially dismissed the cache and if a bin was nearby I may well have discarded it along with the other rubbish at gz.
Great multi, well done.
Thanks

Out with Honeysucker and Scoobster for some night caching to clean up some of the CBD puzzles and multis.
What a sight with three people with the same GPS giving 3 locations. We all looked in the right spot at least twice without spotting it and continued looking elsewhere.
Text the CO and as I pushed send, honeysucker came up with the goods. TFTC.

This one took me a while... Tried ringing Mr Trigg but got no answer and then as I was about to give up I remembered that there was a hint... Seems so obvious now...
Then later in the day I got a call from hgl asking where it was. He soon discovered it in his trash bag! Lucky he called!
3/8 of the way through my engineering degree and I'm 3/5 of the way through this series...

Well, that was nice to find finally. Was my first eac solved. Returned to GZ and had a look where I thought it could be, but spotted something odd before I put my hand in. Hmmm, an omuggle. See photo. Was this the cache? How would I open it? Wow, it even moves like it's breathing!
On the off chance it wasn't the cache I checked somewhere else and found the cache. Now how to open? Being an engineer, I immediately looked for a hammer. In the end I was more delicate, and soon had log in hand. Signed, rolled, inserted, replaced, and left.
And returned 5 min later to get the code...

I now have a new cache container on the go - a much more novel type of hide! It should be in place in about a week.
Was walking past GZ and had a look on the off chance it had been replaced. Just before sticking my hand in, I noticed that there was a true Edna sleeping in there!!!
Had a look at GZ whilst Clipsal was being set-up & Fringe was happening
No luck tonight. Double-checked GZ with previous finders & I was in correct spot but alas.

I finally went for a walk at lunch to find the first clue. After deciding it was on the other side of the fence, I was going to write a note, but see that Mr Trigg-o beat me to it.
'Reverse engineer a solution' - how apt. I think I have successfully done so, but it will have to wait for another lunchtime stroll.
That fence may be up for a while? NRAH due to open 2016?.

Unfortunately EAC301 & EAC303 may not be currently accessible due to ongoing engineering activities. You may be able to reverse engineer a solution, but feel free to contact me if you get stuck.
I finally got to wander around town to finish off a few of these engineering caches that I had collected all the clues for a while back. This was my third visit to GZ as the first time the cahe was missing, the second time my brain was missing (luckily Trigg helped me find it), the third time was a treat! Great little hider, reminiscent of the high quality of the entire series. TFTC
I was glad this one had come back on line as I enjoyed solving it earlier in the year. The tour took me to some familiar and not so well known places and is a perfect series for the business traveller who stays overnight in town with time to spare.
It was a nice walk late today to the hide and after a brief search I was signing the log

Any chance this one could be replaced before I visit Adelaide in early May. Love to complete this one and the final.

Finished off the clues today and did not realise it was off-line. Think I found GZ .. I'll be back when it's back!
The cache has flown the coop! A new one will be winging its way towards GZ soon.
After preparing the groundwork for this great cache on my previous visit I set out this eveing to finish it off.
I arrived at an obvious spot for GZ but apart from lots of ants no cache was found.
I rang a previous finder who suggested I was in the right spot.

Made another trip in to the city today to try to finish off this great series. Did this one mostly on foot, which is a much better way to experience sites.

After a session of collecting clues for the caches in this series, I realised I had all the numbers for #3 except for one, which I'd failed to spot while driving past. But that's okay, I applied some engineering judgement, employed a heuristic to derive a rule of thumb, and came up with a reasonable answer. Then I was on the way past late tonight after collecting a FTF & decided it was an ideal time to make the find. Unfortunately being a bit adhoc meant that I hadn't packed a spare pencil, so the cache is still pencil-less. Anyway, nice container, but hope it doesn't get muggled...

Cache still needs a pencil, perhaps next cacher along could take a short pencil to put in the cache.
Working on # 4.

Another lunch time tram experience. The tram was nice and cool and smooth. A quick alight to be enlightened by the plethora of engineering feats of the bygone era. True, we don't see all these things but I have noticed a few of them as cachers do. Just how many statues/rocks/plaques/things do you notice these days? I wish the tram went east a bit more....
Clear skies and my thanx to Trigs for the first my first in the series.
Spent six hours in the city gathering information, home to do the sums, then back to try our luck.

After some walking around after work, and winding up in the Botanic Gardens it was too far to walk back to the cache. So a couple of days later we came back to make a surprisingly quick find. Loved the container. Loved featherwaite's log too, even without a pen or pencil we could tell he was the previous finder!
Found a few clues on my way through the parklands during my walk to work. Found the rest during a lunchtime stroll. Claimed a very nice Silver on my way home. Unfortunately I didn't have a pencil, nor was there one in the cache, so I signed the log "1/10 FW" with a burnt match I'd scrounged from the ground! Thanks for the cache Trigg-A-Nomics.
Again I started this cache at lunchtime. This time I took the tram to the starting position. First mistake. The engineering marvel broke down at the Morphett St bridge. Not far from Getting something in the right position. Another engineer with the knack. Walked on to the marker and had less than 0.5 seconds to read the plaque, grab the clues and catch the tram going the other way. Collected some more clues and headed back to work. Never realised those lions were there. I knew about the gargoyles. We claimed a locationless find on them.
After work more clues. Decided I could jetski a number, which took me to a location I know from an old archived cache. No cigar. Rechecked the numbers and realised there was another possibility. Woohoo. Tweet, tweet. Virgin log #2 for the frog nation.

Apologies for the lack of the FTF card in this cache - the original was muggled before publication!!
