Found by caughtatwork on 10/11/2024 at 7:56:00 AMA nice cache to find on a solo caching mission this morning,Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1
Rated: for Overall Experience
Awesome cache that definitely took us to in unknown area. Thank you for the adventure:). PS the log was to wet to get out of the container so we have attached a photo as proof
Once we got to the GZ ( note to self look at the map and coordinates properly so I don't end up on the worn side of the river), it was a fairly simple find. Cache was hard to write on because its so damp. Thanks for placing Darth Briji.Total: 36 found
Just finished work and had a bit of time to go find a cache.. this one was close by so decided to stop and give this a go.Once at GZ it was a quick find, log is a bit damp so the challenge was to sign it without ripping it.Thanks for placing for us to find.
This cache was one of those found around or on the leap day February 29th, 2024 before, during or after the Mega event in Adelaide. Many thanks to all those owners who placed caches that VK7HCH and I found during our trip from Hobart to the Mega and return home again.

Back on the mainland, after nearly 3 months in Tassie. So nice to have avoided all the excessively hot weather. It was just starting to get light when I made my way to this area but atleast it was easy to get a park and not many muggles about. It was an easy enough find, once at GZThanks Darth Briji for placing this virtual so we can do this cache.
Thanks to BFMC for having replaced this cache only 2 days ago.Its great that this series is being supported to keep it in play. We have been chasing this series for a few years now, chipping away at it every time we get to Geelong. We are not sure if we will ever have sufficient clues to get the final. This was an easy find by Mrs Riddell and while Mr Riddell was signing the log he spotted this large brown bird that we IDENTIFIED as the striated Heron, which was along the creek.TFTC
I did say a while back to CO that id drop something here. Was picking something up nearby today so took the opportunity to make the 5 minute detour.Still a micro. Clear vial. Head high.Pic of cache with the correct host in the background attached.
Had a good look around but was spooked by the beaten up couch and garden chairs!
Attempted to find this cache today but as we got closer saw there was someone living in the bushes nearby.
We are slowly attempting to find as many of this series before they are archived.
Mr Dromaniax enjoys playing Monopoly, although as we own around 200 games now and Mrs Dromaniax hates the game, he hasn't played it for some time.
Interesting trivia regarding Monopoly, the Orange set is one of the best to get as statistically it is the most landed on set on the board with properties at 6, 8 and 9 from Jail.
The cache is in good condition. Thank you for this cache Darth Briji.

Found with the kids on bike ride. Bit of a dodgy spot with the rubbish around. Found by one of the kids. TFTC.
I found this one with #geohulk who forgot he had already found it so it was no thanks to him!
Good clue from past cacher saying to look from different angles whilst on the ground!

Thank you to all who have found this cache and enjoyed the Geelong Monopoly Series. I really enjoyed creating this series and loved reading the logs of those who left one. Sadly, I don’t have the motivation to keep this series maintained anymore therefore I will be archiving it over time as they disappear.
Thank you once again to all those who have found and enjoyed this series
Cheers,

Nice and quick find! The surrounds look to be a frequent area to some litter bugs so I was amazed that this hasn't been disturbed. TFTC
In all are travels we would not have even thought to traveled to this location.
(Ha Ha). In your dreams, these cachers do.

Just picking up a few more of the Monopoly series while in the Geelong area. No problems in finding this cache with ilook4geo and both names were noted on the log. All was then put back into place to await the next caching visitor. The container and log were both in good condition. Thanks go to The Monopoly Guy for placing this cache and for the series.
Doing some caching with goingplaces2 around Geelong and decided to pick out a few Monopoly pieces. Cache found, log signed, all replaced. Job done! tftc.
Found with kangas11. Quite high up tree requiring climb on too thin branches. We improvised with dumped furniture nearby. TFTC.
Stay in Geelong for the weekend. Day 2. Accompanied with theashleys7 for caching day to do the Monopoly series. Found it. Thanks The Monopoly Guy for bringing us here

Today I decided to make to trip to Lara to join in on the clean up but after that was done before heading home I decided to find some more caches in the area.
I have found a few from this series but I still have a few to go, this one was closeby and met the criteria for today with a T2 or higher rating so I went for a look.
I found the right way in and headed over to GZ, I was looking around but from the angle I was looking from, the downsized resistance was hiding being the tree trunk as I changed my position the cache was soon spotted.
**Thanks to The Monopoly Guy for placing this cache.**

House is on hand and ready to be transported on site. It's just a matter of when I can be out on site to oversee installation.
Found the hide but the box had been tossed into the scrub by muggles, no log book to be found.
Found by Mary & David at 1510. Jobs all done, and the weather has improved. Time to tackle the freeway and all the roadwork speed limits again to continue our caching streak, now on Day 432. A beauty, in a spot that should be relatively muggle-free. Our thanks to Darth Briji.
Quick find. Coordinates were bang on. Had to cross the creek to get there. Fortunately it wasn't to full and I was able to jump over. TFTC
This is the last colour we need to give us the last clue for the Final! A lovely walk it turned out to be with some gorgeous bird sounds to accompany us. It has been a while since this one was visited, but we SL at 11.11am Left: deer PT. #4514 TFTC Darth Briji - and now to work out the final GZ!!
Today's cache in my mission to turn as many '0's on my calendar into '1's or anything other than an 0! GeoHubby is enthusiastic (so far!) about this and so is coming along for the search. We parked nearby, unsure of which side of the obstacle the cache would prove to be. Of course we were on the wrong side, but followed the path and made our way around. Stepping very carefully and following flattened grass we made our way to the GZ where the cache was easily spotted.
Log signed and all replaced as found.
On our way back we surprised a very very large hare, which bounded away across the grass.
TFTC!

NGPC Youth and Angel Boy doing Monopoly Geelong edition in one day. Great fun. Thank you
Each time we visit Geelong we try to find some more caches in the Monopoly series. This was one of the caches for this trip.
The first challenge with this cache was finding the best access. Our car GPS wanted to take us by a most circuitous route but caching instinct prevailed and it was only a short walk from the car. We ere appreciative that the grass had been cut - made for easier vigilance for slithery things. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache was in good condition. Thanks Darth_Brijl for the cache.

Again finishing ones left in the series. Not in an area that id want the geowife to do on her own.
Another find by the McPhail family

I landed on this square. There was a house. I had to pay $50 rent. Thanks for the cache (and the series), Darth Briji!
Found this one back on 22/11/15 along with Ohm3 but seems I forgot to log it. TFTC!

I have to learn to stop pulling up on the wrong side of the dividing body of water :-/ It looked like it would be a small enough creek to find a narrow part or chuck a log over. This was not the case. So after a brief stroll to the nearest bridge I approached the cache from the correct side of the creek!
Spotting the cache was easy, but retrieving it was slightly painful considering I'd rolled my GOOD ankle badly last night at the temporary cache in this series at Geelong Station.
The best part of this cache was that on my stroll to it, a flock of pigeons flew over me. The sound like a sudden wind and the wings flapping were pretty cool.

Walked past all the rubbish the a quick look up and cache in hand. Found with emthegem. Really enjoying this series. Tftc
Should have checked the cache coordinates first..... Thought we'd parked in the right place for a quick find, but not so lucky! After a gentle stroll around the new walking track and some elegant manoeuvring, log was signed and replaced!
This time I ignored Siri, to my peril. My quick way took me to impassable footpath works currently underway and swarming with workmen. Then I tried another way, but spotted where I should've gone originally and where Siri said. Oops.
I always feel slightly super-human when I make a find like this haha. Don't think I'd go too well on a TTC though...
TFTC TNLNSL returned as found

We braved the snakes and rubbishish and foind the cache after not to long.. anove ground level
I dont know what snakes do at night but Duffmmm and I figured we would be safe doing this one in the dark. Apart from a torch wielding muggle passing nearby at 2am, no untoward creatures bothered us. Cache was easy to find once GZ was reached. TFTC.
Mrs Glish and three girls went on an adventure to find this. Was somewhat worried about the long grass and threat of snakes... But we persisted, trying to keep to open ground. A small leap over the creek, we made our way up the hill. Mrs Glish was not in appropriate footwear and sustained a stick injury. Ouch! Not too much blood. We searched high and low amongst the smashed computer and other unwanted stuff, to no avail. A quick read of the logs which might offer a hint... But all we read about were brown snakes. Paranoia now hit big time, and the words 'irresponsible parent' going round in my head! We bid a hasty retreat... Leaving this one for another day!
I had forgotten that it was the 11th of the 11th until lunch time when I wrote down the date on the cache log. Amongst these trees it was an appropriate place to pause and remember, because I am thankful and proud of what the servicemen and women have done for this nation of Australia. For many it has cost them their lives. Lest we forget. Thanks for placing this cache and helping me remember.
After sighting a brown snake in the area last time, I've waited for an unlikely snake day. Found the bridge I was supposed to cross instead of crossing the creek and walked the short distance to gz where the cache was quietly hanging around all by itself. Another one in the series crossed off! Tftc.
Beat a hasty retreat after a brown snake slithered away from us just after we entered the slightly longer grasses. Cachers beware!!!

Like others, I initially found myself on the wrong side of the creek, but followed the path round to the footbridge a short distance away for an easy crossing. Unfortunately, at GZ I found an empty zip-lock bag on the ground, then found an empty cache soon after. I returned to the car to retrieve a new log book which I added to the cache, along with the zip-lock bag. TFTC!
we are really enjoying the monopoly series, thank you so much for all the work you have gone to. sl tftc
Sneaky hide this one. We approached GZ only to find Cowries Creek blocking our access. After reevaluating we discovered a walkway to cross and cache was soon in hand. Log signed as weather started to turn even worse. TFTC
This one was a quick and easy find, however I first spotted it from the wrong side of the creek.
This meant that the first challenge was finding a route across the creek without getting wet.
After walking a tad further a bridge was soon found and I made my way to the cache.
TFTC and giving me the opportunity to turn another cache into a smilie

Found it it was all over the ground its abit water damaged but still legible.
Found the cards and log scattered up the hill. Green house still in tree. We have put it all back together. Looks like some kids have been down here over the holidays.
Strange one this. The container is still there but no log within - a temp log was found on the ground with no signing done in a year? I suspect that the container is prone to toppling over in the wind, might need some extra strapping. Still, found, logged, and carrying on!
Found by The Empire @ 1:35pm
One of many finds today, from the You Yangs then onto Geelong, chasing the final to the Monopoly series. Looks like this cache has had better days, the contents were missing. I found a temporary log by a fellow cacher (looks like she made this log last year some time too), wet and on the ground nearby - I signed that. I put it back in the cache but looks like maintenance might be required. Thanks for the cache Darth Briji.

We've been to almost all of the monopoly caches now. We've had the necessary info. for the final for a while, but still want to complete the rest of the series anyhow. We were nearby today, and had a couple of others nearby that we have been meaning to do, so we finally got around to them. Thanks for the cache, and the series!
Thankfully we brought an athletic team member to retrieve some of these caches.

Nice stroll up to this one. Glad i had others to assist with retrieval of this one. Tftc
as we were deciding where to park we came close to walking the wrong way to the cache which would have set us back on completing our mission today but we soon fixed that

Found on another caching adventure with Trailrunning, A public Holiday meant time off work and more Hours to Cache, we headed to the You Yangs and North Geelong, We found some novel hides at the Zoo and a couple of Challenging Hill climbs as well as a few easier caches around the Geelong Area. Thanks Darth Briji for the cache.
Rebel Acts and I had the chance to get away and cache in Geelong North and surrounding areas. Great day for caching with 60 caches collected. Thanks for the enjoyment.
How do you fill in a long weekend[?]
Head to Geelong with Mogni and Brisal5 for an event and a few days caching!
All up, I found 141 caches , attended 1 event and had 6 DNFs
We did a few series and enjoyed them, we met Bushfire and enjoyed learning about his considerable knowledge of Geelong's caches and we met Team Autumn and several other interstate teams while having a blast during the Geelong-Opoly 2015 event! [^]
All in all, a fantastic weekend.
Found this cache after participating in the Geelong-Opoly 2015 event.
Brisal5 said it was a stinky bush....right up until it became obvious he had stepped in something!
That's what happens when you have to take the long walk into a ccahe hide rather than using the car
Apprently the man who was fishing near here caught something but I'm not sure I'd be eating it.

We took some time getting to this one.... and then some time cleaning up afterwards.... poor brisal5 he really should watch where he walks....
Interesting location.
Interesting location.
In Geelong for the weekend with Mogni and Locus Cache. Today we had participated in Geelong-opoly 2015. Having completed the event to commemorate this series we decided to do the series....and any caches we were passing. Yet again the GPS unerringly navigated us to a park 10 metres the wrong side of the waterway. So a walk around to a bridge and back to where were before but on the correct side of the water. What is that smell [?] [XX(][XX(] Up I went and down came the log book and it was out of there as fast as we could. Back to the car and that smell followed us. Yet again I had put my foot in it. But was it dog or human [?] A stick and some boot cleaning required. At least it was a new clue. Thanks Darth Briji
In the area and hoping I was on the correct side of the creek, the iPhone maps and the GPSr suggested the other side but followed the GPSr close to GZ and realised I was on the correct side and dived into the bush where the cache was quickly in hand. Thanks to Darth Brijil for another one of this series.
Been wanting to do this series for awhile now but haven't got around to it. My muggle neice came to stay over and loves how her uncle goes treasure hunting so we took her past this to show her. She was able to find this fairly easy. We may have another geocacher in the making lol.

In Geelong to get a few caches with Happy Pants. Happy Pants spotted this from the other side of the creek. We checked the creek out, but decided to find the bridge to cross instead. Thanks Darth Briji for another in this series.
