I was in Adelaide to have some work done on my car and so had time to kill. Walking to a coffee shop I decided to check out caches nearby. Find after short search- rule no one - trust the gps, hint and ratings!Thank you to smersh for creating and maintaining this cache and adding to my day
Here with Chamad and Ardom to walk off the frustration of not being served at a nearby pub. Disappointing that Qlders are again discriminated against so happy to take back home $Qld.Its opportune a cache was nearby and on the way back to our accommodation before heading to the pub for dinner. Thanks smersh for this Adelaide odyssey.
Oh My, not sure what day number it is or what caches I did yesterday, been caching for a while and the days and the caches just run into each other. With the Leap Day event over and the Grapes done yesterday, I am looking forward to a morning of small walks and then to finish the day off with some target caching around town. It will still be a long day as well that's what I'm here to do, lol. To save space on log sheets we signed as BOLD 9. Adelaide is proving to be somewhat of a great place to live. The atmosphere and the people seem to be just nice. While i have ventured out of town a little there are some really nice pockets, I will admit there does not seem to be any bad areas as such that I have come into. Thanks for the caches today and the hides, all were replaced as they were found, sorry for the generic logs but I did find a good number again today.
The Leap Day Mega was a great excuse to come down from Queensland and weve had a busy time exploring Adelaide and surrounds cache by cache. Meeting up with friends old and new, we sometimes cached with them and sometimes alone but always had a great time. Although I have been to Adelaide before, this trip has shown me so many new and interesting places as Ive chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining these caches for everyone to enjoy.
After 16 years of caching the time has come to tick off a mega. After arriving late last night into Adelaide I was up early with a mission to collect as many cache types as were available today. I headed into town before the event in the hope to pick up the web cam caches and a sprinkling of others to set me up for the rest of the day. Finding a safe place to park I was soon at ground zero and the prize was quickly obtained. Now off to enjoy more of what Adelaide has to offer and tick a few boxes along the way.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this available to be found.Cheers
Was walking past this one to get to my target cache. And I need many 2/2 finds for a challenge cache for im working on.2 good reasons to sop here for a quick find. So I did. TFTC!
On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. Day 38/74, Wednesday. I made a very quick trip to Adelaide to participate in The Great Leap Forward mega event. On the 28th, I left Melbourne right after a rather short workday and took a flight to Adeleide, where I participated in the reviewers' dinner (I work as a reviewer for Finland & land Islands) with Australian reviewers and HQ lackeys and on my way to the restaurant and and back, also geocached a bit. On the 29th, I worked from my hotel in the morning, participated in the mega event and geocached around the city a little bit in the afternoon, then headed to the airport and continued my working day there. So it was quite a combination of everything but I was happy I could make it to the mega anyway. I was back to Melbourne after midnight on the March 1st then. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! Logged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).

The second full day in Adelaide for Six Queenslanders Unsupervised In Radelaide MegaingToday its still all about oldies, desirable D/Ts, rarer cache types and anything else that we stepped over on the way past with a plan to concentrate on the City we still managed to cache from Mile End, West Croydon, North Adelaide, Unley, Linden Park & Anstey HillOur first cache, and despite being slimy, we still managed to make our markA very successful and entertaining day spent hooning around in Stacey with zero questionable driving or parkingAll logs stamped SQUIRM Thanks smersh Find #10873
The SQUIRM team has travelled from Brisbane for the MEGA. We are here for a week and a bit of Fun, Fringe and caching.Today sees us tackling some caches in and around the city area, we'll try not to get too distracted on the way in. Thanks for the cache
Found this one surprisingly difficult until the slightly out of place camouflage was noticed. Signed, returned and on my way.TFTC!
Thanks smersh for hiding this cache and giving us some fun chasing it down This was find number 994 for us
Really needed clue and to really look. Full of water...put in replacement log, in bag. TFTC
Out and about again, nice and early leaving as stragglers were leaving establishments in a bad state. Made a few finds and a few I stopped looking after 10 minutes (5 passed on) as time was at a premium and wanting to grab as much as possible.
Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds today
Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides I found.

Parked the car nearby and off we went to GZ. Naughtybunny and I weren't impressed by the location as it was pretty much a trash dump now. The cache was found quickly and it was in the first place we looked. TNLN. Cheers.
After parking nearby this was a quick find.
This area looks dishevelled and a bit unloved which is a pity, it could look amazing and probably looked great when it was first constructed. The cache was dry but had obviously suffered from inundation. The log had dried out and we stamped, but a new log is probably needed.

It has been a little while since I have had the opportunity to do some caching so I headed out this evening for a small caching run. Wandered over to GZ and had no issues finding the cache. It has seen better days though and the log is disintegrating. Managed to put some initials into it but it will need some attention. TFTC smersh
Had to tap off the bull ants when I found this one! Log dry but ruined, sorry I didn’t have anything on me to replace it. TFTC
We parked near here to find another couple of caches. I didn't even realize this was here but budgie doesn't miss a trick!
Thanks smersh
We arranged to catch up with Tassie Trekkers, who have been over here for a while, to do some caching around Adelaide and surrounds. The weather was typically Tasmanian, four seasons in one day with some flash flooding thrown in! Today we were regrouping to compete the latest 400 on your bike caches.
It’s become a tradition to fly to a Mega via somewhere else so Stainless steel rat, budgietas and I flew from Hobart to Adelaide a week before the big event and, after a few days around the city, worked our way up along the Murray (where we could due to flooding) via Waikerie, Mildura, Swan Reach and Echuca before heading down through Shepparton to Whittlesea where we caught up, and cached with, a few other teams including Whitewebbs, 1toolman and icybeetas.

Found this cache while out caching with Tassie trekkers. Goosenegg and stainless steel rat.
After the day out on the boat was canceled by the weather, we moved around selected other caches in the area.
Thank you for the cache.
All caches stamped with "Team Tassie"
November 2022 was planned as a trip to the Mega in Melbourne, so we flew from Hobart to Adelaide to find quite a few caches that we had missed last time. Some great caches were found, but the planned boat trip was canceled due to the weather. No matter the showers we found quite a few caches on the trip (Around 600) including a number with high Terrian values.
The drive-through down the Murray river on the NSW / Victoria border showed the impacts of the current floods. A number of caches planned were canceled due to the flooding. Unfortunately, many of these caches will have been lost to the flood. The Mega, as per the whole week, was on and off a wet time, even so a number of caches were still found with Goosenegg, Stainless Steel Rat, Whitewebbs and Tassie Trekkers

We traveled for few days and collected some different stand out caches that we had picked out for this visit, thanks!
Another year, another Victorian Mega, so where do we fly into, Adelaide like you do, after a few days in the city we ventured out into the wilds of SA before heading Northeast towards the border (You remember the name of the town, don't you?) before crossing over we teamed up with Tassie Trekkers and we all finished off the OYB series.
Our attempts at a few caches as we moved South that were near rivers were as half expected we were thwarted by floods so we didn't get to those but added the odd on in here and there.
At long last we arrived in Whittlesea for the Mega late in the evening of Friday 11th and after a quick event headed to our accommodation for the next few days. While in the area we explored the area finding caches all over the place and we even got to meet up with our Victorian ex Tassie cacher 1Toolman who traveled up from down South to join us for the day
Thanks for the cache.

Today we teamed up with gooseandegg, stainless-steel-rat and Budgietas to do some caches around Adelaide of different types and this was one of them.
We signed the logs as Team Tasmania, cache and contents were good.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 178. Blackwood Day 2. After a family morning, I decided to spend a bit of caching in the west of the city area by Port Road. I fixed a DNF from last year and found a few areas I have not been to before. A nice warm day to be out and about in sunny Adelaide.
I found somewhere to stop in a back street and walked around the garden to find this one. With the clue in hand there were not too many to check out and I soon found this nice cache.
Thanks for the cache smersh

NICE HIDE

No need to . bush bash, per se, just take a bit of a detour around the obvious in the way tree and the path remains virtually clear to GZ.
No log book, so i stamped the lid of the cache.

There is no logbook to sign at the moment. I have messaged CO about it, but perhaps next cacher bring a few sheets of note paper or a small logbook to put in.

Thanks for the cache! It was a quick find today on our sunny adventure collecting natural wonders!
A park near by and a short walk to GZ, the cache was found although you would need to be tall to have the csche at hip height.
With a community celebration event looming in the city at lunch time I left home a few hours earlier to do some caches just west of the city.
Total of 16 caches plus 1 lab for the day.

26.05.20 tftc nice morning stroll, nearly run over by a cyclist on the path, didn’t hear his bell with the road noise
Today I had to head down to the Mile End centre and decided to go and find a nearby Unknown cache. I also took the opportunity to find this nearby Traditional cache and another one that was close by.
Thanks smersh for the cache.
Thanks smersh for the cache.
Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The only problem was that the cache is sitting on an ant nest and they were rather grumpy at being disturbed. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache.
Way to many retaining wall bits. Not many rocks though.
Felt wrong lifting the retaining wall.
