Happy to be having a day off, so a plan was hatched to head to the bay area and find some long-ago solved puzzles, older or unloved hides, unusual types and DTs, along with any others that happened to be located along the way.

An easy find here before heading to the bakery around the corner for morning tea and to support the local economy.

Cache needs some TLC. Water logged and rusty.

The geowife and I were out on this beautiful spring day to find a few caches. After striking out at an oldie nearby, we pulled up here. The geowife went to one side and I went to the other. I immediately smirked as I pulled out the container and handed it to her. She was not well pleased.

Unfortunately, the bag was completely waterlogged inside and out but somehow the log was reasonably dry. While the geowife signed the log, I turned the bag inside out and dried out the inside. Hopefully it will stay a bit drier now but it really needs a smaller bag. We dropped a couple of items of swag in before heading off to the next one.

Thanks for the cache.

Out to replace the missing drain plug on the yak and decided to grab a few caches in the Cleveland area.

Cache located quickly and stuck around to do some ad hoc maintenance. Bag replaced and log dried in the sun on my windscreen. Everything replaced and on I rolled.

Yay, we found it, it's the first one we've found Smile

With Tinda17 getting his licence last week, I have regained acquaintance with this move, and can see why this street would have been attractive for practice.
It was all quiet this afternoon and I could make a quick grab. Container is in OK condition and dry enough on the inside. All good here so TFTC!

28-Feb-18
I remember those days, and the driving schools still use the same street, tftc

24-Feb-18
A quaint little street perfect for your stated purpose, jazjazzyjaz. With Squirrellette on one side of the tree, it was me who'd spotted the cache from the opposite side. I had tried to sneakily slink back to the car with the CIH, but she spotted me before I could get away! Hahaha She’s the best!

The logbook is damp, so we gave it some time drying on our car bonnet, as well as placing it into a ziplock bag. Besides that, the cache remains in fairly good condition.

Today barbbowman and I are out on the southside and although we have a couple of target caches, we're pretty much just going to see where the day takes us...

I can see why you could practice your reverse parallel parks here, lots of cars to use and lots of squishy car parking spots Smile It's funny you know, out of all the cars we have had, including a few 4WDs, the hardest car to parallel park was our little hyundai excel. It was a nightmare! Maybe I needed to come here to practice Red Face Well today, no parallel parking was involved, but we did find the cache. TFTC jazjazzyjaz Big Grin

Out with the geokids today to get them out of the house while on school holidays. What better way to get them up and moving than to find a few geocaches..

Nice easy find today as Mr Ksix was able to literally "Reverse Parallel Park" to within 2-3 metres of GZ. Big GrinBig Grin

Thanks for the hunt jazjazzyjaz.

22/4/17 needed a quick, easy and close cache today and thankfully I still had this one to get. Arrived at GZ to a quiet street. Parked opposite and began the look. Thankfully reading the previous logs had me looking in the right place immediately. After a couple of laps the cache was in my hands and the log was signed. TFTC Jazjazzyjaz

16-Apr-17
I needed a couple of quick finds this afternoon as I was on my way to a milestone. I spotted this one on the map which looked like it was in a tree so we hooted around to GZ. It wasn't until we pulled up I realised it wasn't up but down.
It was definitely a quick find as it was just sitting there waiting to be found.
A quick sign and replace before heading off to the next.
Cheers jazjazzyjaz

Hmmm, not many options to search here. MR RoddyC began searching one, whilst I searched another. Not having any luck, we swapped. It didnt take me long to locate the cache. We added our names to the logbook, rehid the cache and continued on our way. TFTC

Today is a Geocaching day with Selva Girls to start turning green dots into smiley faces around the Ormiston area.

No, no RPP needed today - no Muggles around either, thankfully. We looked in all the wrong places, before Selva Girls went over an area I had already searched. More cover that I expected, I guess.

Log signed & replaced again. Found at 3 45pm on 2nd March 2017. TFTC, jazjazzyjaz.

Spending some time on the geocycle in the Redlands this morning. Smile

I had parked at a convenient spot at my favourite park. A couple of laps around the fun stuff in the park before heading off. Wink

A nice quick find here thanks. I could see the maintenance buggy down the path a fair way, so no worries with it sneaking up on me today.

There was also a learner practicing parking at the end of the street. Cool

Out chasing a few, as yet, unfound smiles with Team Benders.
This was a nice quick find by Geo-Mamma.
The log in the baggie was soaked.
There was a dry slip of paper so we added our mark & replaced all as found.
Nicely placed hide! Smile

The jig is up! As we were pulling up debating looking for the cache because two muggles families were out the front playing and drinking, the man across the street said, "There must be a geocache over there. Cars pull up a lot over there!"
We figured that we may as well get it then. The families just ignored us.
TFTC!!!!

19-Dec-16
Pretty hard find after 15mins of looking like the creativity buy pretty busy with a lot of muggles

01-Dec-16
No problems with my parking but I was concerned that I might be watched from the other side of the fence. This meant that I did not get down to chicken scratch the area but walked around the object of interest and searched from a polite distance.

Finally, I made a PAF call to narrow down my search and was directed to a spot which I had overlooked as it did not appear to have been disturbed. I found the cache there with a quick grab and move on motion.

I never feel comfortable looking is spots where I do not know if I am being observed. I don't want to give geocaching a bad image.

Glad to get out of this one with a smilie and (as far as I know) unobserved. TFTC jazjazzyjaz

Parallel parked the GeoBike then set about admiring the magnificent specimen at GZ.

It soon revealed the whereabouts of the foreign object that I was seeking... **TFTC**

I missed seeing the notification for this one when it came out, but soon enough spotted the green marker on the map. So after trying to make the stop on the weekend, and finding the neighbours across the road sitting out the front I decided a weekday attempt might be a little more likely.

So I arrived here on a quiet weekday afternoon and pulled up, I made one little lap of the area thinking it might not be here, but then discovered the well-crafted container in it's hiding spot. Always nice to see a little extra effort put in when using a container like this Big Grin

Congratulations on your first hide Jaz, Smile and TFTC

A very late night last night (School Graduation) after cache notification came through so left this one to find after work today. Storm coming over and just grabbed the cache when it started to rain heavy drops, quickly signed and returned cache as found and back in the car when the rain drops turned into bucket loads then he slow progress to drive home, the cars were pulled over all along the road. Very clever cache I must add. TFTC

*FTF* I had just settled into the couch with a tea when I heard my phone buzz, I ignored it initially because I've been getting lots of spam the last few days Geohubby also got the email and began rounding up the kids - this was a first!! ‍‍‍ Into the car we jumped and 15min later we were parking (not parallel parking). Arrived at GZ and made a quick find. A clever placement and loved the cache Signed and returned, headed home to put the excited Geokids to bed
Thanks for placing this cache, it made for a lovely little night time adventure at the end of an otherwise long and exhausting work week!
