No response from owner. If you wish to repair/replace the cache [red]in the next couple of months[/red], just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
As the owner is not in Darwin we will look at replacing this cache in a week or two.
I saved the Corolla from the steep tracks in this area and walked up the hill to find that a bulldozer has been there doing what bulldozer do. Unsuccessfully looked for the cache and had given up when by walking away I noticed the flattened out Ammo Tin amongst some rocks. I managed to open the lid and noticed all the goodies are still in it. However it will take a pair of tin snips to open it completely. I have taken the cache with me and hope to be able to contact the owner of this cache soon.
Found cache today rolled over by a bulldozzer. It appears that the original cache site has disappeared. I have taken the cache back to the hotel to protect the swaps inside from further damage. Please contact me asap as I am leaving Darwin on Tuesday night 15 Feb 11. [email protected] 0488995196

Found as a part of Team SaintsMadHouse and now that the kids have grown we each have our own accounts to finddd geocaches with separately wherever we go!Headed up the track near Power to the people #3, Bushbashing in the Astra, took out a tall weed, a mud puddle, and then realised the rest of the road had washed out in the recent rain. Decided not to risk the medium family sedan so reversed back out through mud puddle and over not-tall-anymore weed. Drove around and took another very easy-newly graded approach, drove up and round and up and round and geez, how far does this go up??? Oh here it is. Load up the bug spray, quick walk, found it. bit of a kick and shake and it was ours. Very active ants. Signed log, took RAAF sticker and left toy dinosaur to enjoy the land of the giants.TFTC.

This was a track not showing on our navigator however we were able to drive quite close to the cache and then made an easy retrieval and replacement of the cache. TNLN. thanks SNAFUADV
Keeping my eyes shut on the way up and down helped to get this one. Took 'Bouncing around Australia'. Easy find once there. TFTC
A great location for this one although I wonder if the local inhabitants dont eat it away!! Dropped off "Bouncing around Australia" TB TFTC
Yet another site that I didn't know existed. Lucked out on the inbound trip. A pleasant ride even in a small 2 wd! TFTC. TNLN

What an interesting find on a hunt with McRunBecks - the termites don't want this one to be found, and have enclosed it in their nest. I'll post a couple of photos. L croc TN TFTC.
out hunting with JWstorming,
after finding the closest approach by road, we wandered up the hill, looked and found ground zero, saw the state of the cache and went back for the camera, we also discovered that you could drive all the way up so getting back into the stromy geowagon, we drove up to the new close approach 17m and took the camera in, JWstorming got some great shots, then we started to deconstruct the protective shielding protecting the container, we signed the log and put it back, re-establishing some of the cover, then headed off to the next cache

What an adventure this one was. After parking the car about 1/2 Kilometer away trudged through the bush and eventually found it. cleared the GPS then I got lost and couldnt find my car. Walked around for 45 minutes up and down tracks looking for my car alas to no avail. It was stinking hot and my water was in the car!! starting to get a bit anxious by now then I found the car!!!! Anyway had a drink and went on some four wheel driving!! Thanks for the adventure and the cache. TNLC
Our second find! Thunder overhead added to the atmosphere. Took the easy way up but will go back there in the old Patrol GQ to tackle some of the other tracks. TNLN
Found with Trudders! Been meaning to get to this one for ages! What a beauty. TFTH TNLN
It was good fun getting there. Lovely drive TFTH Took the brass ring and left a frog.
Spent a day caching while having a break from 6 weeks work in Darwin. Took Team Laubfrosch Geocoin. TFTC
nice little drive up the hill, was going to take the harder tracks but the kids were scared.
Oh yeh, definately ruff! On a night raid, very interesting critters in the dark! TFTC pen wouldnt work properly so its kinda engraved in the paper!
Found it during our big holiday around Australia. Thank you all guys for your lovely caches. MaJa from the Czech Republic
Final cache in a solo six cache hunt - and this one was fun!!!
I wasn't too sure about taking my newish X-trail up the dirt tracks all by myself. I have some 4WD skills but I wasn't sure what would be waiting for me up there. Managed to take a wrong turn that freaked me out when the car bottomed out.. got outta there and found the right track. GPS showed me being about 20m away when I was still in the car. Took one look at the hill it was pointing at and did the rest on foot!!
Found the cache no worries and signed the log. TNLN. I love that this cache has been there for so long. Very cool.
On the way back out I followed the trail on a bit to see where it went and ended up at the top of the hill, much closer to GZ! Not to worry.. I had an awesome time going back down the track and was giggling and chuckling to myself all the way back down to the bitumen.
Thank you for the adventure

A short drive and then a walk to gz made the name clear. The cache was found easily but the termites have a firm grip on it now!

Fortunately the gibbomobile was able to traverse to the top (but not up the 4WD track!). Funny, they put that building right where I would have put a lookout! Thanks for the cache, SNAFUADV!
I managed to get the little hire car (Getz) pretty close to GZ before walking the Lancruiser section. Found it at 0650hrs.
Thanks SNAFUADV.
Thanks SNAFUADV.
Ms Bushies2 found it quickly but we had to walk a wrong turn after finding the cache to get to our trooper! A long walk but lovely scenery though. TNLN Thanks SNAFUADV for organising the excelllent hide and hunt.
Didn't think I would find this stumbling round in the dark during a tropical downpour, but I did!
Left a ring that I got from one of the caches in Holmes Jungle.
Fell over twice on the way down the hill. Torch started running out of battery power and the rain was unrelenting. All in all, a nice little adventure.

Found with GGG on a 24 hour geocaching marathon that started at Darwin International Airport, criss-crossed the city before heading south. We were in the CBD between 1am and 4am, went to Marrara and Fannie Bay, around Charles Darwin University around Sunrise before going out to the Eastern Cliffs and conducting a mopping up operation in torrential rain in the afternoon. As time was limited we tended to avoid most multicaches. TVMFTC.
Found the track phew!!!. Lovely view. Took: Coin. SL. Thanks SNAFUADV for organising the cache and hunt.
Lots of swaps. Left Geocoin for anyone interested. It is the "SA loved This Cache Geocoin," O well, have a look.
Gave the old 4x4 a work out getting up there!!
great spot. didnt knkow the tracks where there.
if you are up for a challenge drive up to the top. will need 4x4 in low range. not for the faint hearted.

Glad I had the Prado. Met a couple of muggles Kathryn and Greg having lunch and as it happens they found it first. Some good tracks there if you are game.
Found @ 0825. 4th find of 7 for the morning. Wish I had my 4wd with me as some of those tracks look like a good challenge. Hint makes sense once you get near GZ.

Hire car copped another flogging.
This is so much more fun than in Adelaide.
And have geowife on the mobile is a bonus, usually we do caching together.

On our holidays, partly travelling in a Britz campervan through the upper half of the Northern Territory, we tried to log as many of the caches on the way. With the use of a PDA with iGo and the caches loaded as POIs, driving to the cache locations has become quite easy. In total, we visited 61 cache sites and of all these sites, we found 41 caches. Certainly not a perfect score, but we usually enjoyed the location the owner of the cache has chosen. Geocaching brought us to the usual popular tourist locations, but also on some places that we would have otherwise never stopped or driven through.
This log-entry is the 56th cache on our tour.
This one was easy enough to find. A nice and quiet place to look for a cache. Since it’s out of side, no need to hide it too difficultly, so I could find it quite quickly. That was a good thing, since it started raining soon after I got back to the car.

Ruff or Rough. Mr Butterfly was sent up the hill to retrieve this one, as Butterfly's legs are a little short. The hint for this cache only described the view, and not any help to finding the cache itself. Not the best road to drive in using the rental 2WD - shhhh.
Left Butterfly's "Get me coffee NOW!" geocoin to start it's journey. Thanks

After a drive which I will forever refer to as "heart-stoppingly terrifying", we tramped about in the bush only to find we'd taken the long way round. Spotted quickly thanks to trusty torch, and I was only bitten once. Loved this cache, thanks for the late-night adventure! TNLNSL
Look like a bit of 4WD fun to be had so close to the city this would never happen in Sydney. Swapped a white bead necklace for some nail clippers.
Took the fairway and kept out of the ruff as only in 2wd today. No sign of TB in cache. They breed big golf balls up here. TFTC

Yes well this sure did test the X-Trail it failed the steep track beside the cache! TWO TRIES TOO ahhhh Walked straight to the cache and found it, coords SPOT ON Good Job! No Travel Bugs though? Great place for a cache! Gnarly tracks around that place shame we left the Patrol at home.....
Wow, just started to head to this & the usual afternoon storm hit & then had to wait for Council muggles to scoot.
Great little track in the rental toy 4wd. Nice hide, all the clues meant nothing till I got to top of hill.
No TBs in this cache. Was a GC & its now with me for a while.

TNSL and dropped off a GC. What a nice spot to play in with my rented Nissan Xtrail. They upgraded me from a Getz so I had to go and find some mud. How convenient to have a 4WD playground right next to Darwin.

This was our first attempt at geocaching, the children really enjoyed it and have insisted that we go out this weekend and look for some more.
Found this one just before 7pm - almost dark - and the completion of a successful afternoon caching. We're now hooked!
Took the froggy travel bug, and in our excitement forgot to leave something behind. Big oops, sorry! We'll try to get back and leave something when next we go to Palmy.

Ya the best time to cache is when you are out on holiday. you can jus keep caching.
Our 2wd rental car was only up for the tame way up the hill. Found the cache easily once we arrived. Our third of the day before heading out of town to find some outlying caches.
The boys of the Saunders tribe headed off to find this cache, our second. We knew of the area, indeed have driven past many, many times but had never been up there before. We took the main road in a followed it up to the top of the hill, did notice some more difficult, maybe more direct 4X4 tracks but stuck to the main track. When we arrived we had to wait for some muggles to leave the area before we headed off down the hill and spotted the cache.
Once again the youngest member of the family was first to dive into the 'treasures' and picked out a whistle. We left a stuffed toy echidna.
Thanks for the cache.

We decided to walk the last part. The grass was very high and we hoped not to surprise any scary animals, like spiders and snakes. Took TB Pichy Richy. Left nothing.

We see what you mean about challenge your driving ability. Having a 4WD and not being one to back away from a challenge I put the Super Pajero into low range and off we went. Unfortunately around the corner was a fallen tree and without the necessary gear to clear the track (wasn't expecting to go bush bashing) I had to do a tricky reversing manoeuvre back down to the bottom. We then decided it was easier to walk the 30m.
Found the cache without any problems. No dramas with midgies either, but the ants took a liking to me!
Took the duck, left the whistle. Also dropped off the Pichi Richi TB. Couldn't see the two TB's that are supposed to be in there either.
