Had a chamber and a look but nothing around today. Will try again another time. HouseofJones
Didnt find it! Searched at night while completing the AdLab, but couldnt locate the cache. Will return during the day. TFTC!
Had a good look for this and came up empty. Looked in a favourable crevice that geo-sense told us it should be but nothing.
LOVED THE PLACEMENT! had to take off my shoes so I didn't slip but TFTC. The weather was perfect.

Yet another spot in Kapunda we would not have looked for if it wasn't for the local adventure lab... While here gathering information for that, we walked the complete loop, enjoying every bit of it. This find was easier than we anticipated after checking the difficulty and terrain, but it also wasn't wet today TNLNSL TFTC
Stopped in Kapunda for a self-tour of Australia’s first commercial copper mine. Impressed by the Cornish miner history.
Nice chalky scramble and glad of dry conditions and no ominous sounds of tommyknockers (I’m thinking like balrog and orcs drum beats from mines of Moria in lord of the rings…

After doing the AL, we ventured to the trad. Definitely a Mr Unssy task. Found relatively quickly, signed and replaced. Thanks
Tricky, but found in the end. Thought the descent was going to be super-fast at one point due to a bit of moisture! TFTC and the adventure 4WHEELAUSSIES.
Southern Autumn adventure Day 38. Mid North section of SA trip Day 9. Barossa Valley Day 1. I chose Kapunda as today's direction. The aim was to meander my way to and from Kapunda visiting lonely caches and a few solved puzzles. It was a great day and while I was in town I did the Lab set that is there. There is so much to see and plenty more caches for future visits.
While I was out seeking one of the Labs I was able to get a traditional and an earth cache all at about the same spot on this walk around the old mine site.
Thanks for the cache 4WHEELAUSSIE

Had to climb for this one. Muddy terrain. Loved the challenge on a special outing with my wife for her birthday.
In Kapunda for a couple of days so having a wee look around for the odd cache or two

We all walked down here to answer a nearby lab question then climbed the stairs out, only to realise this Trad was down there. So we all walked back down the stairs again ?? ??
This one took a little while to locate and once found and signed we thought it best to also do the EarthCache while we were down here ?? before walking up the stairs again ??

Pointed this one out to Muggle65 who made the grab. Thank you for the fun
We were on our way to Clare Valley, an unexpected treat and looking for ECs. Prof Freddo's one was so close, it would have been a shame to miss TommyKnockers.
I had been raining hard last night and the area was still muddy but I sent Mr. P to grab the cache while I was studying the rocks.
Thank you for the placement, TFTC

Grabbing a few caches around Kapunda while staying in Eudunda.
Soon after starting the mine circuit light but very persistent drizzle started and by the time we arrived at this one the ground was very wet and sticky. I didn’t fancy having to carry Mr sylken back to the car if he had a fall so I convinced him to give this one a miss. Maybe another time when the weather is kinder
Thanks anyway 4WHEELAUSSIE

Here for the haunted kapunda adventure lab - stayed for the normal cache! Lots of ants but I climbed up! With kayche22 and molly - tftc
After doing some searching in crevices, I read the logs and then started searching non-crevice hides, and I found it. So I’ve returned it to what I think is the correct place, and I will message the CO.
I’m also here for the Earthcache. This is a great little loop.

Thanks for hiding. Good to be having a look around the area. Caching with Wollaston and SeasonedBird. We're enjoying this area.
Yay. Found it. Many thanks for the smiley!
I visited today, to pick up my mum for a road trip. I spotted a spare area that would match the terrain and had an appropriate Hiding hole. The hole was empty but on my way back to ground level I spotted something suspicious. On investigation the decent size box was found. I have left as is but may require CO to check.

Back in SA for harvest work. Spending a few days in Kapunda before heading to Yorke Peninsula.
Headed out to explore some back roads today before the forecast rain of tomorrow. Boy the crops look good around here but still not ready for harvest.

Found this lying on the ground despite not even looking for it! Terrain and difficulty certainly didn't fit where we found it so we gathered as many contents as we could and hid it in an appropriate location nearby.
During my visit this loop has been in my sights. Interesting place and nice to have a few more smilies.

Time for another Friday Frolic for some members of the Befuddled Puzzle Solving Group. We gathered at the Rat Nest and myself, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats headed out for a day of caching in and around Kapunda. Except for one cache that is currently off line we managed to find all we looked for. As usual there were a few laughs, a picnic lunch and these are the caches we found [B)]
I found the coords to be a bit out but looking at the attributes I guessed where it was likely to be. A short scramble and the cache was in hand.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks 4WHEELAUSSIE for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

Well I thought this was a perfect one for the kids to retrieve, but no, none of them was willing.
They were happy for me to go, and had a good laugh at my expense as I scrambled my not too light 113kgs ish, up to get it.
Luckily I am slightly fitter than I look (but still quite unfit !) and managed to retrieve it without breaking myself...
I am pretty sure too that I heard some noises when I was looking into the tunnel..... I hope it wasn't the Tommyknockers...

Found during a day out caching in the Kapunda and wider area with Freddo and Team Waldron. We signed our names in full or abbreviated to F.F.TW in caches that none of us had previously found, and in full when one or the other (various combinations) had already claimed on a prior visit. A total of around 40 finds for each of us today, plus 5 for the local Lab cache to clear up a nice area on the map. Thanks for the cache 4WHEELAUSSIE!
A nice walk around the mines this morning, the cache was easily found and is all good
This morning I headed north towards Kapunda/Nuriootpa to clean up the caches I had left in the area. A nice morning out dodgy the dry weather road only and the flys. Total of 47 finds for the day.

Whilst completing an adventure lab in the area we also found this cache in the first place we looked.
The lovely micaparamedic has come to visit and so I decided on a spontaneous visit to Burra - to complete a lab there, and then we meandered back to the city with a few other stops, labs and physical caches found.

Found by Mary and David at 17:35. Came here to a stage of the Adventure Lab, and couldn't pass this one up while we were on the spot. Thank goodness it was bone dry, and D scrambled up to grab the container. M thought he should have passed over his wallet, car keys, and a last kiss before the ascent. Beauty! He survived unmarked, too. Our thanks to 4WHEELAUSSIE.
Today, jesswrigley and I started the day with a breakfast event north-east of the city, before travelling to Kapunda primarily to complete the *Kapunda Hauntings Adventure* Adventure Lab. It was great to visit Kapunda once again, and a nice historical little mining town, and we enjoyed our walk around the old mining area. We did a few other adventures in the area, before heading back home via Seppeltsfield.
We called into here whilst completing the Kapunda Adventure Lab. After obtaining that answer, we made this cache find in a nice hiding spot. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. This was a pretty cool area and mine! Thanks 4WHEELAUSSIE for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Focussing on newly published caches and an adventure lab that had been placed since we last cleared out around Kapunda, it was handy to find that we could grab 2 lots of info at this GZ. There were no ghostly activities going on while we were there today, maybe the heat kept the ghoulies at bay. Signed and returned. Thankyou for the cache 4WHEELAUSSIE found 27 November 2020 08:47
Continued on the walking track with CPwanderer.
After a slight hesitation, we decided to descend down to the mines.
We looked in the obvious spots, until we remembered the hint, oh!!
I somehow managed to squeeze myself up there without sliding down the slippery slope.
I had my horrible caching sneakers on, with very little grip.
I did manage to cover myself in a chalky substance after gripping the rock face though...
An interesting whispering wind followed behind, think we'd been watched..
Thanks for bringing us here 4WHEELAUSSIE, a favourite

Thanks heaps for sharing this location with us. We met 2 lovely gentleman (father & son) at the cache site & the son told us about his work surveying these mines.
From what we were told it won’t be long before you can access an app that will show you the historic buildings dotted around the mines as you walk along the trails.
