Mrs Woodyrothwell and I were driving around the area waiting for the chocolate shop and cheese shop in Woodside to open. Hopefully after they opened the cellar door near Mount Torrens would also open.I think its over a year since we have had to crack the beanies out. Funnily enough, a year ago was also winter time and I think we were holidaying in the Clare Valley but it wasnt as cold as this.Lets just say the beanies stay firmly planted on our head the whole day. Even at the wine tasting we didnt take them off to look like normal people. tftc
Three confused geocahers planned a Mystery Tuesday tour. The plan was for ttrogg to pick up Mrs Rat, from her nest. Then it was off to meet up with the Starfish, for a day of caching in the hills.we searched and searched. Then the Rat found the cache.Quickly found and stamped the log.Tftc
I did indeed have a lovely time exploring the outskirts of Lobethal by way of caching this evening!I pigeonholed myself into looking for the wrong size and wrong hide style here, and almost gave up. But then wait, whats that tucked away down there? Aha! Picked up the trackable left by Wal & Ol. TFTC!
Found with CPwanderer.on a morning drive around the backroads.Took a few minutes of searching but we were rewarded with a nice sized cache.TFTC Trigg-A-Nomics
Found on a morning caching wander with Gizmos Gang! Great weather to wander about the back roads! Nice sized cache that took us a few minutes to spot!!! Thanks for the hide!!
Midweek journey to Mt Torrens and surrounds.
Nice size cache... and not likely to replace that book any time soon. Dropped TB.

Another day out with the JAMS team primarily to host our first CITO at Mt Barker summit. We had time for a few caches and Adventure Labs on our way, then when the CITO was finished we headed to Lobethal and surrounds. The day started out cold but the rain held off until the afternoon when we stopped for some lunch. By the time we had finished lunch the rain had stopped so we were able to find a few more caches before heading home.
Found after the CITO as we headed in a roundabout way to Lobethal.
Took longer than it should have, but once we found the smallest of the bunch there was the cache (about 8metres from GZ)
Thanks for the cache Trigg-A-Nomics.

Found with the hint. Found the co ords to be 8 meters out. This took longer than it should have but it is a nice sized cache container. Found after the Clean up Mount Barker Summit CITO.
The JAMS crew ( JJ52, Allister W, Mogni, and Sir_spectre ) Mitchell&hound is overseas currently so didn't join us, were out on our monthly outing. All logs stamped as JAMS. Today it was off to Mount Barker Summit to the CITO the JAMS crew is hosting and then heading in the general direction of Lobethal. We were targeting the 3 adventure labs and whatever caches any of the JAMS crew hadn't done, so there was a lot of revisits to caches for me till we cached above Nairne. We had scattered showers till a slightly late lunch when it poured down, after lunch the rain went away and came back as we were leaving Mount Barker on route home.

Naughtybunny and I enjoyed exploring Lobethal and Gumeracha finding some amazing caches around the area. Lobethal certainly is lovely. We searched in different areas at GZ and then we found it. naughtybunny took the Travel Bug. I TNLN. Cheers.
I went one way, Chookster went the other way.
Of course it was the other way! Nice sized cache, lovely big logbook in excellent condition.
I took the TB, will move it on ASAP!

Saturday caching day today, despite the weather with the odd shower or two to avoid also kept the muggles at bay making for a easier search at several locations throughout the day, with all the autumn leaves falling was a colourful little town during our visit, this was a quick stretch of the legs today to find a nice size cache

Stopped back in to pick up a tb I seen in here a long time ago and decided to get off the mark but discovered there are not any tbs in this cache any more
Another day, another maintenance run. Fortunately there was good company in the form of Sushilord to make the day fun and productive. This was a quick stop on the road, a dash across and a search of several options until the Fish got the right tree.
Another day out with Dr Owl, this time prowling around the hills and ending up in the Port to meet a couple of sandgropers.
Finding a nice sized cache is always a joy given the shrinkage that has occurred over the years.
Thanks for the cache Trigg-A-Nomics.

Another Tuesday and once again I cached my way towards The S.A. Sewer Rats nest grabbing some caches along the way. [^] Trouble was I never made it as the car let me down. Oh well you get that sometimes. I did manage a couple of find though.
Another quick find before the car let me down. nice cache in great condition so I dropped in a TB.

This was another cache that we looked for as we made our way back to Crafers West. We went to where our GPS was pointing but the location was not consistent with the hint - we didn't find the cache. So we focussed on the location consistent with the hint and made a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. After signing the log we checked our GPS and determined that the cache was 8m East of the published coordinates. Thank Trigg-A-Nomics for the cache.
Looked for quite some time before spotting the cache - all that ground cover making for a great hiding spot .TNLNSL.Thanks Trigg-A-Nomics.
Found quite easily after we decided which was the smallest of the bunch. Lots of undergrowth. TFTC TNLNSL
Once finding the smallest of the bunch it was an easy find. A day out with BearyOrganised and Tigtog08. Tftc
That took me a while but moved more to the east and narrowed in and low! TFTC

Found 11:15 AM with Poppadon. Good hide, nice location, busy main road, nice day for caching. Ground cover can be tricky, watch your step!

Another close to home cache that had been saved for a busy day.
I don’t know what that ground cover is called, but it’s no fun for geocachers. After not having any luck initially, I read the logs and moved east a little and made the find. You’d think a regular would be a quick find here.
Lobethal is lovely, but Gumeracha is where it’s at.
Thanks for the cache Trigg-A-Nomics. Merry Christmas!

Lobethal is a nice little town that I like to visit. A cache is a bonus. Thanks Trigg-A-Nomics.
Lobethal is lovely indeed. The lights are up, Jesus has returned to the valley of praise! Hot donuts and beer abound. Merry Xmass.
Much thanks to Trigg-A-Nomics for placing and maintaining this cache on our ever expanding SA geo-map

Exploring wherever we can - searching, spotting hidden items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guess or plain old dumb luck
Plenty of the luck stuff actually !!!
*Almost all the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*

Beware ! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, floodwaters, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for bugs !!! . [xx(]
Ensure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside
Great of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
We do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!
C'est Fini.

Lots of groundcover here but I didn't see a cache. After reading the logs I was probably in the wrong spot.
Stopped by lovely Lobethal on my way elsewhere and quickly found this one.
Love the hills touring...

Finally a decent sized cache that I can load up with travel bugs that have been in my possession for way to long. Neat cache location. Love your work.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Out on a nice, sunny day with hevwalker.
This cache took longer than anticipated and the clue didn't help, unless you were in the right spot.
A handy clue was found in the logs and we soon had the cache.
The cache was found 10 metres out, nice spot.

Today with an event on in Mt Barker I set off early in the day for a full days caching. Starting in loberthal and making my way through the towns and back roads as I went. Managed to get 55 finds and see 3 brown snakes at caches.

Spent quite a while looking before cache was found, according to my GPS, close to 10 metres east of where it had GZ.
