A lovely day to head west to find a few of your caches around Smithton.Thoroughly enjoyed the variety of hides and containers.....well done JJgibbo12.Used to visit the garage next door when Keith was there. Did a few mods on my XB 302 panel van.Cache was soon found with all ok.Many thanks JJgibbo12 for placing these caches for us to find....much appreciated...cheers ST.
Swampy and I decided to visit Stanley with the aim of adding Pine Nut (GC52EF) to my list of oldest caches found. After an excellent trip, visiting the Hydro Power Trail along the way, we continued heading North West caching as we went. We found many different type of hides, cache containers and conditions. We fixed what was needed and replaced as found. What they all had in common was getting 2 geeks outside for some exercise. This find, Stumped, brings my total to 1687 and was found at 14:35 on 8/6/2024.Thanks JJgibbo12 for playing the game and giving us another reason to visit this area. Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
The Kings Birthday long weekend caching trip to Stanley is now in the second day. Today we found your cache whilst cleaning out the areas around Stanley and Smithton. An early start for us today and we found this cache at 14:36. Thanks JJgibbo12 for placing Stumped for us to find today. This brings my find count to 4908.
Not such a nice day today. Found with Geo Maggie on a trip from Port Sorell on a quest to conquer some of the newly placed geocaches in the north west.
A quick find which was what was needed at nearly 4pm after a long day geocaching.Interesting cammo on this one.Thanks.
Thanks for the cache JJgibbo12.Visiting the northwest coast for a few days and decided to head to Smithton to find some of the new caches that have been published in the area. It is great to see such great quality caches with a range of hides. Well done on contributing to 'our game' and for making Smithton and the surrounds a bit of a 'geocaching tourist attraction' Another nice quick find. Thank you.
We last visited Stanley and Smithton on 27 January this year and we managed to find all the caches that were available to us at that time. When we checked late last night, we were amazed to see that another 39 caches have been published in a little over three weeks, nearly half of them yesterday. So our target today was to attempt to find all 39 caches. We managed 38 finds and we simply ran out of time to look for the 39th - we estimated that the last one would have taken an hour and, as it was already 6pm, we decided to head home and to return another day. We had a wonderful day with a wide variety of cache hides, outstanding weather and Mrs y'stassie as the chauffeur as the other half of the team has to wait another week to recommence driving after surgery.Mrs y'stassie went to look for this cache. As she is vertically challenged, it took her a few minutes to locate this thoughtfully prepared cache container - the camo was very good. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks JJgibbo12 for another quality cache in the area.
After seeing all the new caches published in the area recently we couldn't resist trying to find a few. A fairly successful day, didn't get round them all so we'll have to come back another time. This one was a quick find with accurate coordinates and a good hint. TFTC
*FTF* saw this newly published cache as we were preparing to leave town. So swung past after filling with water and visiting the dump point to make a nice find although surprised to see how close to the school this one is. TFTC JJGIBBO keep up the good work
