Today after my event at Montrose Foreshore we completed the water drop geoart. Enjoyed solving the various puzzles whilst on the road and at the event got some intel from Lady Membsec to assist with the W3W conundrum. All caches were found some took way longer than others and it was nice to find a good variety of well thought out and executed hides. With thanks to Budgietas for the series. Several FP to be awarded.OMG head slap moment when I finally realized where I should be looking made this one way harder for myself than it needed to be . TFTC
hi Budgietas - thanks for the cache.I was a little early to my appointment in the northern suburbs, so I was able to search for two more water drops. This was a quick find after a short walk.I really liked the "cammo" so dropping a fav here.Dropped off a TB too.Cheers,EPs
This was found in the second place I looked but it was only on returning the cache that I noticed that it should have been the first place I looked.
6 days since i last grabbed 6 of the hides in this series (Puzzles and Letterboxes, i'd love to be able to do the Wherigo's but my phone doesn't accept the download of the cartridge unfortunately... D-Oh!)so today was ripe for the picking as the 'Wet Stuff' from above is forecast for the next 3 or so days. Already solved i made my way to this the 1st to be found today.Parked nearby (300 or so metres away lol) and set off on foot to this one. At GZ it was an immediate find and i made sure no 'Non-Geocaching-Folk' were looking on both the find and re-hide [^]Sat myself down away from GZ a bit and signed the log at 11:37 on Thursday 15 Aug 2024.TFTC and the Puzzle, Budgietas
Hello Budgietas thank you for the cacheThis was a nice easy and quick find before going to work. Here I go again chasing caches to get a souvenir that no one will see.Found on Thursday, 08 August 2024 at 0644**TFTC**
Today was a day that we had designated as a geocaching day (one of the first for many months). The first goal was to complete the Water Drop series that had first appeared at a local event a few weeks ago. Thanks to Budgietas for placing all of the caches, working out the puzzles and the Wherigos to accompany that event.Interesting location with some local art on show.TFTC
The attribute should be changed to no parking as the only safe parking was 200 m away. Enjoyed the walk to GZ but the hiding spot could have been "behind" a selection of items, some with very personal meaning to the placers so I paf as not to disturb too many objects. TFTLB
Our prime purpose for coming south today was to fill in another day on our multi-cache calendar. With that task completed, we headed off to the Montrose area to look for the newly published Water Drop series. CacheSleuth was our friend for solving each of the puzzles, projections and WIGs. We found all but one of the caches in the series and it appears that the one we missed was a victim of fence reconstruction. The coordinates for each of the hides were reasonably accurate or better. We enjoyed the series, in particular the variety of cache types and hides. The hardest part of this cache hunt was negotiating the traffic to get to GZ. Once there, this cache was a straightforward find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Budgietas for this cache and the series.
What started as a day of a simple CITO after getting coffee turned into a great morning driving round collecting a nice new series of caches. We had great fun rushing round with the Hancocks to grab the {*FTF*}.Found on 30/06/2024 thanks to Budgietas for placing this cache for me to find. The best caches I have found so far are:-Sentimental [Moorgreen P3:1, Penny Pincher](http://coord.info/GC32Z5B) By [Sven&Cup](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=6596795)Traditional [Hanging Around in Toorak](http://coord.info/GC62KAP) By [bobthebuilder_123](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=586681)Multi [Gawler Fort Knox](https://coord.info/GC5T0W1) By [**JEM**](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=11449141)Unknown [Men In Black Holes](http://coord.info/GC1DVB0) By [SG-3](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=918045) Letterbox [Rolf's Letterbox](http://coord.info/GC5NCYM) By [membsec](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=5318842)Earthcache [Totem Pole](https://coord.info/GC862H8) By [The Hancock Clan](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=263428)Visit the [Geocaching Tasmania Facebook group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/318455407771/)Member of the [Tas_Community](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=25086739) maintenance group.
Today is beautiful weather. There is a blue sky, and you can see the mountains with some snow. It looks brilliant. I kicked my bum out of the house. It has been a geocaching day for a long time. I saw on the new list I received from the email. I did homework on all those new caches last night, so it is easily solved, and I enjoyed running the series Closer Suburbs.Arrived at here GZ. Finding a spot to get it took a little longer. Signed the log with good dry. TFTM
30 June 2024 13:10Found. Probably my last for today as I have other duties coming up rapidly. Roadworks keeping me busy.Tftc Budgietas
We walked to this from number 5. A quick find by Mr H who spoke of similar plans. At the closing of the CITO this morning, the CO gave us all a drink bottle with a very handy bit of information of a new geoart that was about to hit, hopefully before the next rain squall! The rat and I teamed up with The Hancock Clan and knocked them all off before lunch, starting about 10.30am and finding the last one around 12.40pm.The CO generously offered for anyone at the CITO to log a first to find on any of these caches if found today. We signed most of them as team CITO as had apparently been discussed openly at the event. We tried to create a circular route but, with the Brooker Highway, the train line and even road works getting in the way, it wasnt always easy. As per the COs offer, a joint {*FTF*} with The Hancock Clan and SSR, and the rest of team CITO Thanks for the new series Budgietas Visit the [Geocaching Tasmania Facebook group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/318455407771/)Member of the [Tas_Community](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=25086739) maintenance group.
We came to this mornings CITO not planning to do any more caching today, but ended up with thirteen finds (including the CITO). Budgie gave out some drink bottles with a piece of paper inside them at the end of the CITO and said that those at the event could log an {*FTF*} if they found them today, so we decided to try and get as many as we could. We met mr_johna at our fourth find and ended up following him around for the next few caches before going our seperate ways. We found eight caches before having to return home for another engagement, but returned in the evening to try and find the remaining seven. We only found four more before it got too dark to continue, but it was still an excellent day of caching, filled with high quality hides. Thanks Budgie for organising this excellent series of caches, we thoroughly enjoyed it, and Id be very surprised if it wasnt the same for everyone else. Thanks for the cache Budgietas!
Thank you Budgie for organising this CITO event and the accompanying bonus caches. There was a wide variety of hide styles, cache engineering and pure evil intentions. The challenge was met and overcome for each of them, this one, Water Drop 03 was no exception. Found in company with Swampy, this proved a pleasant days exercise, even with the sporadic rain. This is logged as a joint {FTF} with all attendees at todays event.
We walked to this one from #5 and I'd guessed where it might have been hidden before getting there. We'd thought about hiding something similar nearby ourselves. TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
At the end of the CITO event today , Budgie was kind enough to hand out some drink bottles to those that attended the event. And inside was a list of caches for the Water Drop series. Once the waypoints were loaded in our phones, VK7HCH and I took off and started finding all the those caches. As Budgie said at the start, if we find it today we can claim {FTF}. We worked our way around and even caught up with Budgie at a couple of sites. We kept going through the sporadic showers and managed to find them all. Thanks Budgie for the series and the opportunity to get {FTF} with all the rest of Team CITO. Find number 4990.
