I have recently found a new avenue of finding some archived caches - and this one came up on my radar.
Sweet_bee and I parked up and made our way down to GZ. We hunted high and low.. for about 30 minutes. A PAF to a previous finder yielded no clue. I guess we were not going to get this one
Then Sweet_bee moved an item and I took a closer look with a stick. Dig, dig, cache! Well.. the remains.. of the cache. The poor old beauty has been in a fire. One quarter of the container is still good - the rest if a bit of a nightmare - but logbook was there.. even it was barely a spring with some ashes attached
We decided to remove this one - it is nothing more than rubbish now - it cannot function as a cache in its current state. If the Cache Owner disagrees with me, please let me know. I have brought the remains back home with me.
Very happy to get this beast after nearly 4 years - even if it was in a state. A great area. TFTC Nosugrefs

Took a bit to find this one, yes the contents are quite wet, tipped out more water and tried to dry out the log book a bit.
Thanks nosugrufs for quick response on this one.
Thanks nosugrufs for quick response on this one.
Found after a good search, nice hide. Cache is very wet. Log book and pencil are very moldy, so we didn't attempt to write. Treasures are wet, emptied some water but needs much TLC. TNLN, thanks.
6/04/2010 4.05pm - no1 for today. Doing the ones near to home. Easy walk (they have mowed the path) onto this in minutes although singapore daisy and grasses everywhere from the rain. Hubby spotted first but we count that as both. Contents wet, log book damp. Emptied out the water the best I could. TFTC TNLN
No points for common sense here!! Headed off straight down the incline through relatively heavy bush only to have to turn 90 degrees and walk back up the incline!! Oh, there's a path... [:i] Found after a poke around. Exited via the easier route.... TFTC Nosugrefs
I finally got back to this cache after wrapping up two others in this area, some time ago. Not the best weather today, but it meant that it was quiet and I could hunt in peace. At GZ, the GPS wanted to take me over the edge but a quick look down highlighted a lak of hidey holes. So I kicked off my hunt in the area I figured would be more likely... Wasn;t long before I had the cache in hand and I was off to the last in this patch of bush...
Cheers Nosugrefs.

Coooeeee, my 3rd Grandson's first cache find, and he is only 5 weeks old. Nice little area, Thanks. (logging now when I have access to a pc)

Parking your car at the top of the park certainly makes finding this cache easier. TFTC
Rocks, big rocks or were they "boulders". Obviously the signs about dumping rubbish are illegible. Hunted around until cache was found. TFTC
Everlasting & I walked down and through the bush then climb up to reach GZ ... found it ... logged it.. walk out easier and shorter.

Found the cache at 6.25pm. Oh what fool we walked and bash the bush and realised other side, we should walk via fire track... Oh dear anyway we have a good fun day. No swap. SL. Thanks Nosugrefs for organising the cache and hunt.
Still lots of buxom pictures lying around but the cache was well hidden and had his eyes covered. TFTH

5th of 10 finds for us today.
Being able to park only 20-30m away from this cache makes it a nice quick snatch and grab.
Gotta wonder about some people, as at the entrance to the GZ for this cache is a big sign saying no dumping of rubbish etc and then directly behind the sign there is garbage strewn all over the place... Why do people do this to our bushland areas ???
Thanks for the hunt Nosugrefs
Cheers

Took GC. Thanks Nosugrefs.

Quick find - the coords were a bit out for me but the hint helped. Left kangaroo tick TB. If this cache doesn't have a tick attribute, I'm sure it deserves one. TFTC

Found with Captain Tomato and Rorus.
Quite easy to find. Had to climb over a fallen tree - probably after all the rain, and a huge boulder tumbled down - thankfully Rorus is quick on his feet!! But all good. TFTC

A nice short stroll down to the cache. A fallen tree across the track made the passage interesting, not to mention the boulder that crashed down just as Rorus pulled his foot out of the way - PHEW!!!!

Had me worried as I'd parked too far down the hill and it seemed I was going to have to do some clambering, so I was relieved when GZ came into sight, clamber-free. TFTC. ='.'=

This was to be our last find of the day in a Nosugrefs cache hunting afternoon, even though we searched for one more cache unsucessfully (Eatons Place) This was an easy find and a lot of fun winding in and out of the tight streets.

This cache is number 100 for Mystery Ink. We were glad that this one was close to where we parked because after finding 100 caches we were really tired. When Mr Ink suggested that we all continue on walking another half a kilometre to the next one before lunch Mini Inks yelled "No Way, lets eat" What amazed me was that we were headed for the Golden Arches after watching Supersize Me on TV last Sunday.

Well this one was a little more tricky - the gps had me way off mark and 5m south of the actual location. Ready to give up after 20 min search - went back to the car - deciphered the clue and went back for a quick find.
The GPS was a little off although eventually found it. Having Mr Nosugref with me didn't hurt my chances though! Thanks for the cache!
Nice hide in a nice suburban area. Took lip gloss and left fish swivels. Thanks Nosugrefs

"Take care of my dear Lady Hamilton, Hardy, take care of poor Lady Hamilton". He paused then said very faintly, "Kiss me, Hardy". This, Hardy did, on the cheek.
"The Trafalgar cache has been found too, sir".
Nelson then said, "Now I am satisfied. Thank God I have done my duty" [|)]
Victory was mine after a way too long battle with the rocks. The camoflague was exquisite. Took the Tinkerbell TB which tinkled all the way home on the bike

We certainly have an intimate understanding of the structure, placement and interaction of dirt and grass around rocks, now that we've found this one. What a search. It took about 20 mins but felt like an hour. Mrs Lat&Long eventually located it. We took the Gnome TB and left Tinkerbell TB from Saudi Arabia.
Found it after a brief search. We check a few hidey holes before the Geokid sniffed it out.
We dropped of the "Gnome away from home" TB we picked up in Melbourne.
No swaps today - Thanks for the cache.

Found on an evening with The Garner Family and Daks Emu Mob. There were some toads quietly sitting in between the rocks seeking shelter. You just see their faces sticking out. TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache Nosugrefs
Second of eight finds on my second night in Brisbane, in company with The Garner Family and Lt Sniper. Geez, I hate 'em in rocks! The three of us searched around GZ, despite my GPSr pointing me some distance away. I decided to check out 'my' GZ, but it was a washout. We decrypted the hint, and this seemed to confirm that the original GZ was correct. TGF came up with the cache at 2150. Thanks to Nosugrefs for the cache.

This turned out to be a relatively easy find this evening in the company of dak's emu mob and lt sniper. We poked around for several minutes with the GPS swinging us around in a few different direction, but it didn't take long for the cache to be set free.

The 8 year old Geo Kid has just worked out how the name "Nosugrefs" may have come about. So as we are preparing to head off, he says "Ragla fart". We say "Sorry?", he says again "Ragla fart, would that be the cache's real name?" We laughed! Brains can be dangerous sometimes.
We liked this cache because while searching we spotted the beady eyes of a big green frog between 2 rocks and later when saying good-bye to the frog we see another one just near the first. We do like frogs!
